COVID screening questions PRIOR to loading the bus in the morning. If the student has a fever over 100.4 or answers yes to one of the COVID screening questions the student will have to return home and not attend school that day. The school nurse will contact the student and parent/guardian for next steps Sidewalks leading to door 1,2, and 35 will be appropriately marked 6 feet apart with posts in the ground so that anyone entering the building is able to maintain social distance. All students entering the building will pass through a temperature scanner, and answer COVID screening questions by campus security. If a student has a positive screening result the Covid-19 screening protocol is to be implemented (see later section). Students who have passed the screening protocol upon entry to the building will proceed directly to their classroom or other assigned location which will be supervised by a teacher. Students will not be able to wander around the building or wait in common areas for maximum safety. All common areas are to be appropriately marked 6 feet apart so that students are able to maintain social distancing in the event that students are asked to wait in a common area. Common areas will be supervised to maintain proper safety protocols. Hallways will be two way traffic divided by a dashed line and arrows indicating traffic direction are clearly marked. Stairwell to the second floor will be one direction and will be clearly marked. Students and staff are to adhere to hallway/stairway directions when walking in the building. Passing periods are 5 minutes for time to follow two-way arrows throughout the building. Students should report directly to their next class and NOT CONGREGATE in the hallways. Hallway supervision during passing periods and bathroom monitors will be in place to limit the number of students entering the bathrooms at one time. Bathroom capacity will be labeled and monitored during the passing period. Please do not exceed bathroom capacity Students will not be allowed to use their lockers, and should limit the number of items brought to school. Classrooms have been set-up with a limited number of desks to maintain proper social distancing. To assist with safety, teachers will have seating charts for each class. Disinfecting wipes will be provided in classrooms if students want to wipe down their desk and chair. This is optional.
