The art catalogue provides a spectrum of art which can be examples of display in the MODUS Museum. Art pieces are categorized in four, as Performative Art, Music Improvisation, Public Large Scale Exterior Art and Theme Art according to the experience and interaction between art, artist and the participant.

Each artwork is represented by its artist, medium, needed surface, dimensions and its choreography.

The catalogue is a spatial and visual research of artworks with a wide spectrum.

Artworks in the catalogue are mostly the examples of the “other” artworks which are mostly neglected from the professional art literature.

Here in the catalogue we ask the question of what constitutes art and how art can be seen more casual and quotidian rather than being intimidating and impervious.

“We believe that we should not limit ourselves to this established art world, but rather open our minds to the idea that there are multiple art worlds, each with their own system of values, and that is perfectly possible to appreciate art from more than one world. A viewer can experience the same intense joy from looking at skateboarder Christian Hosoi’s awe-inspiring acrobatic Trick Christ Air performances as at Raphael’s great masterpiece.”1 The MODUS Museum aims to break the imposed image of the traditional museum by welcoming everyone including people who are not calling themselves artists but produce art.

Performative Art requires flexible spaces and the display distance decreases while the interaction between the art piece and the viewer increases. They can take place either interiors or exteriors.
