Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) is a charity, independent and non-profitable organization and was formed in 2005 in the Kurdistan Region capital city Erbil. BCF dedicates its works and project on humanitarian efforts and helping poor people as well as refugees. The Barzani Charity Foundation gives great importance to education children and providing medical needs and equipment to disabled people across Kurdistan Region. BCF projects supported mainly by wealthy and businessmen in Kurdistan Region, however recently our projects have been supported by international agencies like; United Nations, World Food Program, UAE Red Crescent and United State’s organization (LDS). BCF in recent years have provided aid and humanitarian assistance to all

refugees across all three Kurdistan Region Provinces and currently BCF is the main provider of WFP assistances in Kurdistan Region refugee camps. The main office of Barzani Charity Foundation is in Erbil. Its President, Vice President and five member of board of directors are working in the main office. Currently BCF have offices on Erbil, Sulaiymaniah and Dohuk. Its also offices in Kirkuk and Garmian Region and across all Kurdistan Region refugee camps. BCF charity projects are done through professional team who work on full-time basis.


Since its establishment BCF has had a big role in participating in most of the humanitarian activities in all three Kurdistan Region Provinces. Due to the absences of charity organizations in Kurdistan Region, the formation of our Foundation was a necessary move and the needy and refugees required a lot of help and aid, which BCF filled this vacuum with pride and with each passing day BCF provides more charity program and projects.

The BCF is committed in providing inclusive social, cultural, educational, Health and humanitarian services to all parts of the society for the sake of improving the overall living conditions in Kurdistan. We also strive

BCF Activities From 1st of August to 31st August 2015 in These Sectors:

Currently Barzani Charity Foundation has 16 offices in all refugee camps across Kurdistan Region three provinces. It also has 11 cultural and art centers inside the refugee camps and there are activities in the centers on daily basis.


•Tanahi vocational training centre in Duhok province: -Completed an English language course for 45 participants in Sharia camp in Dohuk Governate. -Distributed posters for children about health instructions all over the camp. - Distributed hygiene kits among 90 children in Sharia camp in Duhok province. -Held a seminar about Cholera disease and prevention for 72 refugees in Sharia camp in Duhok province. -Organized a sewing training course for 15 participants in Tanahi vocational training centre in Duhok province. -Opened a drawing course for 20 participants in Sharia camp in Duhok province. •Qadry Jan centre in Darashakran refugee camp in Erbil province: -Held a 3 days seminar about Breast cancer awareness for 48 women. -Held a seminar about Cholera disease and its prevention. -Arranged a seminar about Cardiac diseases for 72 participants. -Launched a computer training course for 17 participants. -Arranged a maternity course for 17 women. -Opened a handicraft course for 20 children. -Launched a sewing training course for 44 participants from both gender.

•Osman Sabry centre in Qushtapa refugee Camp in Erbil province: -Organized a celebration on the occasion of the international day of the girl for 200 participants. •Noraddin Zaza Centre in Kawargosk refugee Camp in Erbil province: -78 participants received certificates upon finishing a Kurdish language course. -Organized free haircut service for 50 children. -Opened a teacher training course with the support of the consulate of the Poland republic in Erbil province. -Distributed clothes and presents among 29 children and women. -Held a seminar about community health planing. -Arranged a seminar about domestic violence against women and children. -512 families received food items including rice, juice and sweets. •Terij vocational training Centre in Erbil Province: -Organized the campaign ‘’Fight germs by washing your hands’’. -Arranged a seminar about the peaceful coexistence in the communities. •Bersiv IDP Camp in Dohuk province: 250 persons participated in a blood donation campaign for the Peshmargas.


• Baharka IDP camp in Erbil Province: - Distributed the monthly food ration to799 families. - Distributed food parcels to 800 families. • Qoshtapa refugees camp in Erbil province: - Distributed dry and canned food to 460 families. - Delivered bread to 1000 families.

• Kawargosk refugee camp in Erbil province: - Distributed meat to 150 families. • Harsham IDP camp in Erbil province: - Delivered bread to 278 families. - Distributed meat to 120 families. - Set trash bins inside the camp. - Provided clean up equipment boxes to 175 families.


- Distributed food parcels to 2820 families in Khanke camp. - Distributed food parcels to 3338 families in Sharia camp. - Distributed food parcels to 2184 families in Bardarash camp. - Distributed food parcels to 2217 families in Bajd kandala. - Distributed food parcels to 2749 families in Qadya camp. - Distributed food parcels to 60 low income families in Kalak sub-district. - Distributed the monthly ration food to 2648 families in Qadya camp. - Distributed food parcels to 225 refugee families in Solemani province. - Distributed clothes and children hygiene kits to 600 families in Baharka camp. - Distributed food parcels to 633 families in Dibaga sub-district.


- In Akre camp 240 primary students received school bags and stationary items. - Provided school bags and stationary items to 643 primary students in Basirma camp. - In Bajit kandala 2 camp 400 primary students received school bags and stationary items. - Provided school bags and stationary items to 300 primary students in Dawdyan camp. - In Mamilian camp 470 primary students received school bags and stationary items. - In Esya camp 895 primary students received school bags and stationary items. - BCF has opened a new twelve classroom school in cooperation with LDS in Ashti camp in Solemani province.


• Darashakran refugee camp in Erbil province: - Delivered milk to 17 families. - Provided personal necessities to 40 disabled persons. • Bardarash IDP camp in Dohuk province: - 100 families received household cleaning items. • Baharka IDP camp in Erbil province: - Distributed hygiene kits (toothbrush and paste, soap, shampoo and tissue) to 815 families. • Gawilan refugee camp in Dohuk province: - Delivered milk to 195 families.

• Qushtapa refugees camp in Erbil province: - Distributed diaper to 195 kids. • Harsham IDP camp in Erbil province: - Provided crutches and other necessities for 17 disabled persons. • Basirma refugees camp in Erbil province: - Distributed canned food to 970 families. • Qadya IDP camp in Duhok province: - Supplied solar power system apparatus to 10 families.


• Dibaga IDP camp in Erbil Province: - BCF is managing the Dibaga IDP camp from October to the end of this year including the costs of management. The camp which consists of 1000 units was built by the Emirates Red Crescent.
