Thislovelysentimenttrulywarmsmyheart,andyetfrommyhumble perspective,itfallsshortofgivingcreditwherecreditisdue.Don’t getmewrong,thereisimmenseprideandsatisfactioninallthatwe haveaccomplishedoverthepast24years,andIamgratefulforthe recognitionofthepartIhaveplayed,butIwouldberemissifIfailed toacknowledgemygoodfortunetohavebeensurroundedbyan amazingarrayofprofessionalandvolunteerpartnersthroughoutmy timeattheJ.
Ittrulytakesavillagewitheveryonecontributingtosuccessfully navigatethemulti-purpose,multi-generationalprogramsand servicesthathascementedthereputationandachievementsofour agency.FromEarlyChildhoodtoSeniorAdults,andSports&Fitness toCulturalArts,thepassionandcommitmentandtheshared collectivevaluesofourJCCteamofvolunteersandstaffhasbeen thedifferencemakerandthebenchmarkbywhichweoperate.And asaresult,Icanadmitwithgreatconfidence,thatdespitemy retirementlaterthissummer,theJCCwillbeinthebestofhands

NowthatJuneishere,theJwillonceagainbetheplacetobefor anotherfun-filledsummeratthepool.Aswequicklymoveintothe heatofthesummermonths,wefullyanticipatethatmemberswill begintoenjoythefullbenefitsofourJCCpool.Ofcourse, maintainingaclean,safeandsecureenvironmentisimportantatall timesandhereareafewofthewaysourmembersandtheirguests canhelpus:
Alwaysadheretothepoolrulespostedinthepoolarea. Whenonduty,thelifeguardhascompleteauthorityatalltimes Whendirected,alwaysadheretoquickevacuationandemergency situations.
Asaparentorguardian,youareresponsibleforyourchildren atalltimesandmustalwaysbewithinreachofnon-swimmers. Swimmersareaskedtoshowerbeforeenteringthepool(our outdoorshowerwillmakethatprocessmoreconvenientforour members).
MembersandtheirguestsmustcheckinattheCentralInformation Deskbeforeproceedingtothepoolarea (Forparentswithyoung children,whenyoucomedressedandreadytoenterthepool, rememberyoucanexitdirectlytothepoolwithoutgoingthrough thelockerrooms)

I am a husband and father of 2 kiddos I follow basketball, football and baseball in my free time I started at the JCC as the Cub Scout Coordinator and have worked in the Early Childhood department, served as the BBYO City Director and JCC Maccabi Games Delegation Head for San Antonio My favorite part of Jcamp is the community and culture that continually builds for our campers and staff Along with the memories that each of us carry with us even when camp is over

This will be my second summer here at the J and I'm so excited to see returning campers as well as some new faces! My favorite camp moment is Fridays when we go around each camp room and watch the campers perform a skit or a song for the Admin team as well as see who has the best decorated room I can't wait to go on this summer adventure with you all, see you soon!
