4   Million   E Investmeuro nt Our headquarters in Paderborn with our integrated logistics centre and the new construction area. We are investing a further 4 million euros into expanding our logistics space. Once the complex is completed – we will enjoy a significant increase in our capacity – especially for our domestic business. The new facilities will incorporate a covered loading hall (760 square meters), a main hall with awning, four loading ramps (2,478 square meters), a mezzanine roof with a goods lift (358 square meters) and a warehouse including reception and conference room (250 square meters). Not only will our storage capacity be increased but it will also add more flexibility. This will also benefit our customers.

The International Featured Standards, or IFS for short, evaluate the processes that are important for manufacturing, handling, storing and transporting high quality products safely. In addition to the main national retailers, the gastronomy and food production sectors are now placing great value on IFS certification and are beginning to incorporate IFS into their own standards. The IFS demands that food safety in production plants are stringently evaluated. Accordingly all companies are checked for product process safety, quality assurance standards, hygiene, product specifications and legal requirements. Remaining true to our company motto “We try harder!”, meant that MBG had to take up this challenge. We scored exceptional and above average scores in the two categories we were judged on (IFS Broker – 96,88 % for MBG International Premium Brands GmbH and IFS Logistics – 98,68 % for MBG Food and Beverage Logistics GmbH). Our IFS certification is further and official recognition for our processes at MBG, but it is also our customers assurance that we produce and distribute a safe and compliant product – and that we go way beyond the statutory requirements.

Our success story began with the sale of internationally renowned premium beverages. In 1995 we acquired the exclusive import rights for Miller Genuine Draft, making us the only company worldwide that was allowed to call itself “Miller Brands Germany”.
