Introduction Famous Quotation: I would like to be remembered as a person who wanted to be free... So other people would also be free.

Best known for: She did not give up her seat on the bus.

3 Key Qualities:

1.smart, 2.funny, 3.shy.

What I find interesting: She did not care about being put in jail.

I chose this person because. she sounded like a smart and intelligent Change Maker.

Overcame a Hardship/Challenge Rosa Parks was able to grow up to be proud of herself even though there was segregation.

I think it was awesome that she had the courage to be proud of herself.

Showed Compassion and Empathy In spite of her gentle ways she still believed in helping herself.

"Wow that is so cool!" She still helped herself. Rosa Parks helped black people fight for their rights. I think that is kind because helping people is kind. E.D.Nixon. a Civil Rights leader took Rosa's case to court

Took Action She didn't give up her seat on the bus for a white person.

It was very cool because not many people did that back then because they might be put in jail.

Persevered She never gave up on doing the Montgomery Bus Boycott. It lasted 381 days until bus segregation ended. Martin Luther King helped her with the Montgomery bus boycott.

That was very brave of her because she might be put in jail.

Impact: How Things are Different Today She helped black people fight for their rights.

That was very awesome because helping people is like a roller coaster!

Viewed Problems as Opportunities White people took away black people's seats on the bus. She didn't point things out; She did something about it.

Demonstrated Bravery Rosa Parks was brave when she stuck up for herself on the bus.

She got put in jail for fighting for her rights.

Learned from Mistakes Rosa was not afraid, although the white boy was near his mother. When he pushed her, she pushed him back. "Why did you put your hands on my child?" The mother asked. "Because he pushed me!" Rosa said "I could have you in jail." Treat others as you want to be treated.

Communicated and Shared Rosa Parks became a spokesperson for the Montgomery Bus Boycott.

I think white people were angry about that.

Author Talk I’m similar to my Change Maker because...I help make the world a better place.

I’m a Change Maker when I...help clean up the playground.

My Chang maker is connected to... Martin Luther king jr. Because they both believed that fighting was wrong.
