NRL FINALS – WIN A TRIP TO VEGAS
Terms and Conditions
General
1. Bankstown Sports NRL finals – Win A Trip to Vegas (Promotion) will commence from 12am Monday 21 August 2023 to Sunday 1 October 2023 at 8PM and will consist of 5 Weekly Draws, and 1 Final Draw as set out in these terms. Prizes will consist of:
a. Weekly Draws: A place for 6 people (winner and 5 friends) to come and watch the NRL Grand Final at Basement Brewhouse on Sunday 1 October. Prize consists of a place in the private lounge area with other winners, where lunch and drinks (from a dedicated food and beverage package) will be provided. There will be a total of 5 winners
b. Final Draw: A total prize value of $15, 000, to be used towards a Trip in March 2024 to watch an NRL game in Las Vegas - subject to the prizes being claimed in accordance with these terms and conditions.
2. The promoter of the Promotion is Bankstown District Sports Club Limited ABN 88 000 243 916 (referred to as “BDSC”) of 8 Greenfield Parade Bankstown NSW 2200, phone 02 9722 9888. The Promotion will take place within the Basement Brewhouse, located on the Promoter’s Premises.
3. Entry into the Promotion is subject to acceptance of these terms and conditions.
4. If there is any inconsistency between terms and conditions and anything else that refers to this Promotion, these terms and conditions will prevail.
Where to Enter & Collect the Prizes?
5. Each draw will be conducted by a nominated staff member within Basement Brewhouse in Bankstown District Sports Club located at 8 Greenfield Parade, Bankstown NSW 2200, using a promotional system & computerised virtual barrel (Virtual Barrel). Winners will be drawn by their BDSC Membership number, The member number will be contacted by phone when they are drawn and deemed eligible to win, within 24 hours of the draw.
6. In the case of a postponed draw, due to a technical failure, the member will be drawn at the next available time at management discretion.
7. Members do not have to be present for the weekly draws between Monday 28 August and Monday 25 September, but must be physically and personally present at Basement Brewhouse (BDSC, 8 Greenfield Parade Bankstown NSW 2200) for the Final Draw on Sunday 1 October to claim their prize within the claim period.
Who can Enter?
8. Subject to clause 8, Entrants for the Promotion must be:
a. Current Members of BDSC throughout the Promotional period to be eligible to win (Members);
b. Over the age of 18 years; and
c. Agree to and comply with these terms and conditions.
Excluded Participants
9. You cannot participate in the Promotion if:
a. You are not a current member of Bankstown Sports Group (Bankstown Sports, Bankstown Bowls, Birrong Sports, Auburn Tennis Club, The Acres Club, Bankstown Golf Club, Baulkham Hills Sports).
b. You have been suspended from BDSC at the time of draws. You will not be eligible to enter the draw or claim prizes.
c. You are a director, employee or contracted personnel of BDSC (or any related entity) or you are the immediate family of a director, employee or contracted personnel of BDSC (or any related entity) – [Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, exspouse, de facto spouse, child or step child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step parent, grandparent, step grandparent, uncle, aunty, niece, nephew, brother, sister stepbrother, stepsister or first cousin].
10. To successfully claim any prize, Members must provide proof of identity and proof of entry validity or proof of membership. Proof of identification and proof of entry is considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of BDSC. In the even that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
Weekly Draws
11. The Weekly Draws will take place every Monday at 12pm commencing from Monday 28 August until Monday 25 September (a total of 5 Weekly Draws).
12. All entries received will form part of and be drawn from the Virtual Barrel for the Weekly Draws Once the draw is complete the entries for that week will reset
How to Enter in the Weekly Draws?
13. Members can enter the Weekly Draws by doing any of the following:
a. A beverage purchase made in Basement Brewhouse will make that member eligible to go into the weekly draw. Entries will be allocated as follows:
i. One entry for every order of Basement Brewhouse Beer made in Basement Brewhouse during the promotional period. (Entry refers to entry into the Virtual Barrel). The Membership card must be scanned or swiped at the time of transaction by the Member.
ii. 5 Entries for every beverage purchased from the approved range (4 Pines, Balter, Brookvale Union or Mountain Goat).
iii. 10 Entries if a Burger from the Basement Brewhouse menu and any beverage from the approved range (4 Pines, Balter, Brookvale Union, or Mountain Goat) is purchased as a combo Members can make a purchase through BDSC’s online ordering system (known as ME&U) to earn entries also. Membership card must
be scanned or swiped at the time of transaction by the Member. ME&U is a separate legal entity and is entirely unrelated to BDSC. BDSC is not responsible for any entries that are provided to it late or are otherwise not provided to it by ME&U.
14. All POS transactions made during the Promotional period but before the Weekly Draw will be included in the Virtual Barrel (entry may take up to 10 minutes to be counted due to processing time. If this occurs, the ticket will be included in the next draw, or if the weekly draw has finished, it will go into the next week’s draw).
15. Any transaction made during the entire promotional period will be reactivated and included into the Final Draw.
What is the Weekly Draw Prize?
16. A place for 6 people (winner and 5 friends) to come and watch the NRL Grand Final at Basement Brewhouse on Sunday 1 October. Prize consists of a place in the private lounge area with other winners, where lunch and drinks (from a dedicated food and beverage package) will be provided. There will be a total of 5 winners.
17. The Weekly Draws are drawn from the Virtual Barrel of members who received entries for the week leading up to the Monday draw. Any entry that is generated after the Weekly Draw will go into the following Weekly Draw
18. Each draw will be conducted by a nominated staff member within Basement Brewhouse in Bankstown District Sports Club located at 8 Greenfield Parade, Bankstown NSW 2200, using a promotional system & computerised virtual barrel (Virtual Barrel). The drawn member will be contacted within 24 hours of the draw occurring.
19. Once a Member has claimed the prize for the Weekly Draw, no further Weekly Draw will occur.
20. Members can only win one Weekly Draw which means if the same Member from a previous Weekly Draw has been selected, a redraw will occur until a winner is found.
21. If the member is not contactable within 24 hours of the Draw occurring, a redraw will occur on Tuesday at 1pm.
Final Draw
22. On the Final day, Sunday 1 October 2023, BDSC will carry out the final draw at the half timeperiod of the NRL Grand Final in Basement Brewhouse. The winner will be announced via the PA system by a staff member and has 2 minutes to Claim their prize
23. In the instance that the member is not present, a redraw will occur every 2 minutes during half time until a winner is found, If a winner is not found during half time, the draw will recommence after the 2nd Half of the Grand Final Game is complete. If a winner is not found after 30 minutes, the last member drawn will be the deemed the winner of the prize.
24. Members can enter the Final Night Draw by doing any of the following:
a. One entry for every order of Basement Brewhouse Beer made in Basement Brewhouse during the promotional period. (Entry refers to entry into the Virtual Barrel). The Membership card must be scanned or swiped at the time of transaction by the Member.
b. 5 Entries for every beverage purchased from the approved range (4 Pines, Balter, Brookvale Union or Mountain Goat).

Prize for the Final Draw
A total prize value of $15, 000, to be used towards a Trip in March 2024 to watch an NRL game in Las Vegas.)
25. The Major Draw will take place on Sunday 1 October 2023 at Half Time.
26. Members must physically and personally be present at Basement Brewhouse (within Bankstown Sports Club, 8 Greenfield Parade Bankstown NSW 2200).
27. Winner is required to present their Membership card to claim their prize. If a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
28. The winner of the Las Vegas trip must have valid photo identification. This is to ensure that the prize can be registered in the winner’s name. Should the winner not hold a valid photo identification, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.
29. Winners will be announced on Bankstown Sports and Basement Brewhouse Social Platforms, you must express opt if you do not wish for this to happen.
Conditions of Accepting Major Prize
30. The Las Vegas Trip Prize will include the following (total value $15,000):
• Tickets for 4 people to watch the NRL Vegas Round
• Accommodation
• Return Economy Flights from Sydney. Travel time must occur between 29th Feb - 5th March 2024
• Prepaid travel card if there is a balance remaining.
31. In accepting the Major Prize, the winner agrees and acknowledges that:
a. The prize value will be been lodged with CCM Travel (CCM Travel, Suite 1A, 35 College Street DRUMMOYNE NSW 2047, AUSTRALIA) in the name of Bankstown Sports until a winner is found, at which point the credit will be transferred to the winner’s name. If the winner cannot travel in the allotted time they cannot transfer for cash, they must forfeit the prize or transfer to an eligible individual
b. The winner will be put in contact with a representative from CCM Travel the day after the draw. From this point BDSC releases all responsibility and further cost and negotiation with any parties.
c. All passport and ESTA Visa fees are not included in the prize. The winner must organise this themselves at their own cost
d. The Major Prize is not transferrable for cash.
e. The cost and inclusion of the holiday (as outlined in condition 30 of these Terms and Conditions) will be no more than $15 000 and BDSC will not be held responsible for inflating travel fees or unplanned extras.
f. The Holiday must be booked within 12 months of winning the prize.
General Terms and Conditions Applicable to the Promotion
32. The BDSC reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of BDSC, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or BDSC.
33. The BDSC’s decision is final and the BDSC will not enter into correspondence regarding the Promotion result or any other decisions the BDSC makes in connection with the Promotion.
34. All prizes will be awarded to the person named in the entry. However, in a dispute, will be awarded to the account holder of the entry mechanism used to submit their entry.
35. In the event of a technical failure (including but not limited to the display screens, ticket printer, PA system or draw system), draws may be postponed or cancelled. Cancellation or postponement of a draw is strictly at management discretion. In the event of a cancellation, prizes from cancelled draws are forfeited and the prize value of any such cancelled draws will be added to the Final Draw.
36. Independent financial advice should be sought as tax implications may arise as a result of accepting the prize and BDSC will not be held liable in relation to any tax implication which does arise.
37. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the prize and the prize suppliers’ requirements. It is the responsibility of the winner to confirm such conditions with the prize supplier or other relevant third parties.
38. It is a condition of accepting the prize that the winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by BDSC in its absolute discretion.
39. All entrants agree that if they win the prize, they will not, and their companions will not, sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media or other organisation, including via the internet, whether for consideration or otherwise. Photographs will be allowed only at the discretion of BDSC.
40. Subject to complying with all relevant State and Territory legislation, BDSC reserves the right to amend, cancel or suspend this Promotion if an event beyond the control of BDSC corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Promotion.
41. BDSC may in its absolute discretion cancel the Promotion and recommence it from the start on the same terms and conditions, subject to any directions given under State Regulation.
42. BDSC and their external venues and companies assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.
43. BDSC reserves the right to redraw the prize if an entrant who claims to be a prize winner is unable to satisfy these terms and conditions.
Copyright, Statutory Guarantees, Waiver and Liability
44. In consideration for BDSC awarding the prize to the winners, the winners hereby permit the winner’s submission, image and/or voice, as recorded, photographed or filmed during the winner’s participation in the prize to appear in connection with Bankstown Sports or the advertising or marketing thereof, in any media whatsoever throughout the world and the winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use.
45. Each entrant hereby assigns to BDSC all right, title and interest in and to all copyright and all moral rights in any material created or otherwise submitted to BDSC in connection with that entrant’s entry or participation in any aspect of the prize (Works). Each entrant warrants that BDSC is free to use the Works (including modifying, adapting or publishing the entry, whether in original or modified form, in whole or in part or not at all) and to exercise its rights in relation thereto and neither the entrant nor any third party will be entitled to any fee for such use.
46. BDSC does not exclude any rights and remedies in respect of goods or services under the Australian Consumer Law in the Competition and Consumer Act (2010) (Australian Consumer Law) which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. However, the remainder of this clause will apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and BDSC shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. BDSC is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by entrant or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this Promotion, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this Promotion including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
47. BDSC reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who BDSC has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion. BDSC’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
48. All entries become the property of BDSC. BDSC collects personal information about you for the purposes of conducting this Promotion. All information collected by BDSC will be used in accordance with BDSC’s Privacy Policy (see link below).
49. All entries will be entered into a database and BDSC may use the entrant’s names, addresses and telephone numbers for future Promotional, marketing and publicity purposes. By entering, entrants confirm that they allow their details to be used for this purpose. We collect and use that information to provide you with our goods and services and to promote and improve our goods and services. We may share your information with our related companies and any of us may be in contact for those purposes (including by email and SMS). If you do not provide us with requested information, we may not be able to provide you with the goods and services, you require.
50. Where you have entered a Promotion, we may disclose your personal information to authorities if you are a prize winner or otherwise as required by law.
51. If entrants no longer consent to their details being used for future marketing purposes, the entrant should contact BDSC on their details set out below. Any request to update, modify or delete the entrant’s details should be directed to BDSC.
52. BDSC’s privacy policy can be viewed at BankstownSports.com/privacy. To request access to, or to update, personal information BDSC holds about them, entrants can contact the office of BDSC by telephone on 02 9722 9888.
53. This Promotion is a game of chance and skill plays no part in determining the winner.
