TIME Let this be a time in our lives To consider the things that are really important to us — Not only as individuals, but as a part of a collective humanity. A time to ask ourselves — Whether or not the time we’ve spent together, Striving for material gains, Has pushed aside the pure and simple joys That add to the real meaning of our daily lives. Within each of us — There is an immense human need To be heard and to be understood. To live life freely and develop freely, We must look at each other With the deep sense of wonder Due us as human beings. Becoming aware of each others’ feelings and dreams Would allow us to stay in honest touch with our emotions. Communication could grow strong Between hearts of individuals. There would no longer be a reason For any of us to have the pains and fears That keep us isolated from the world. Our dreams are the heartbeat And the freedom of our souls; For the spirit within us Remains a free thing, Filled with boundless dreams to share.

A new challenge beckons The old we lay aside — But remember one man: Our unrelenting guide Who touched our lives with friendship And set us on our way; A man of dreams — A man of smiles — Whose debt we can’t repay. A passion for his teaching Abides within his heart — Dedication rules him, This master of his art — The liveliness of youth Grows with all he dares; A man of warmth — A man of love — With so much more to share. *

A TRIP THROUGH TIME By the year 2007, much time has certainly passed since that graduation day on June 10, 1982, a once in a life time occasion. Little did anyone suspect that exactly 25 years to the day, another remarkable happening would present itself. Some of the post graduates have gathered together to tour England and reminisce about the past, time they have spent doing their own thing. At exactly 8:23 A.M., the plane, the famous Concorde, on which the travelers are flying, goes into a time warp. David Epstein, the pilot, can’t seem to figure out what is happening. Meanwhile, passenger Liz Frem, a dentist, puts a piece of bubble gum in her mouth after 20 years of cold turkey, obviously due to the excessive nervousness concerning the present predicament. Dwight Poler, a politician, states “ it must be the Russians.” Wayne Reiss and Bill Sharpe, co-authors of a N.Y. Times best seller, MANNERS: The Proper Way to Act, start to crack jokes quite loudly in order to let off tension and camouflage their lack of control. Simultaneously, Patti Knight and Yvonne Gil, famous journalists, appear to remain completely cool and collected, on the outside; while Bonnie Johnson, a public speaker, eloquently attempts to calm hysterical Tamara Payne, who fears that her singing career might be finished if they are not saved. Finally escaping the time warp our passengers, find themselves on an English Omnibus which is owned and driven by Susie Hardy. A recently hired expert engine mechanic, Steven Magnante, explains boastingly how he remodeled the engine to run on a magic energy saving fuel of his own creation. Somewhere in the 5th dimension, illusionary, recurring scenes, which seem so real, appear. Acting as official tour guide, Moira McGrain takes advantage of the situation to show her traveling expertise and begins to describe the scenes as if they were extraordinary happenings of time. First is a scene in which Becky Groves, Sari MacKenzie and Kathy O’Hara sample, as always, their products; monagrammed M + M’s and personalized donuts, patterned by designer Sarah Groves. Next is a scene in which Anthy Dono buys food for her catering business from Ann Louise landoli, sole owner of one discount food warehouse. Betsy Camougis is seen chauffering her ten kids in a new double decker compact station wagon. Jon Herring displays his patented formula for instant muscle building and strength. The following image shows David Sharfman, Brad Ferris and Rob Loring arguing about the technicalities of their extravagently expensive Broadway play; as Lyn Castriotta and Richard Beinstein appear to be discussing the latest styles in their respective designer lines of chocolates, clothes, luggage, cosmetics, etc. As these images keep reappear ing time after time, the passengers get off the bus to experience the effects of the unusual atmosphere. They agree to meet at Big Ben, at 3:20 P.M. Then they would decide what road to take to get back to their present time. As 3:20 P.M. approaches, the passengers begin to assemble at the clock. Meanwhile a universal sports convention takes place nearby. Passing by the convention on their way back, Liz and Moira see tennis ace Sandy Peterson, field hockey jock Barbara Dinan, jockey Shannon Miller and soccer star Tom Cope disputing over which sports profession is the best. As they continue to argue incessantly, all our passengers reunite at the clock. At the exact moment in time when the clock strikes 3:20 P.M., all the travelers find themselves back on the Concorde, as if nothing had happened. The time is 9:05 A.M. and the passengers wait to be served breakfast. The fear and anxiety of their past experience has yielded to the excitement and hope for a happy future!
