• Offer classes and workshops at a below-market rate while paying instructors competitive wages

• Host free workshops in our Station North neighborhood

• Provide scholarships and programming for kids and teens

• Operate year-long workforce development programs for high schoolers

• Support our artist residency program

• Present exhibitions showcasing work by local, national, and international artists

• Provide scholarships work-study and internships to students and artists who would otherwise not be able to afford such opportunities

The Ornamenta auction opens January 27th at 5:00 PM EST and closes on Saturday, February 8th at 10:30 PM EST, on the night of the event.

JEWELRY + ARTWORK

Adam Atkinson Feeling Blue (v3) Ring

Cherry, acrylic, sterling silver

2.5 x 2.5 x 1.5 inches, size 11.5

Retail Value: $300

“Growth comes despite the most difficult circumstances. Dendrologists have discovered when a tree is cut down in the wild the remaining trunk and roots continue to be fed by the surrounding forest keeping the dismembered organism alive. Out of the Blue is a reflection on perseverance.”

Amelia Toelke Gem Face: Perky

Gouache on paper, framed

9 x 12 inches

(in frame: 11 x 14 x .4 inches)

Retail Value: $650

“Gem Face: Perky is part of a series that pieces together jewelry— necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets—to form expressive faces. Gem Face points to the deep emotional connection between jewelry and those who wear it, engaging the complex relationship between identity, communication, and adornment. Collage-like in composition, Perky is rendered in gouache, a medium traditionally used by jewelry designers. These “gemojis” speak in a broad visual vernacular, revealing how we use objects to tell stories about ourselves, connect to our past, and leave our mark for the future.”

Ali Munn

The Fancy Shape - Earrings

Sterling Silver, onyx

0.8 x 0.8 x 0.1 inches

Retail Value: $500

“Inspired by the episode of the podcast 99% Invisible by the same name, ‘The Fancy Shape’ is an homage to the iconic quatrefoil.”

Andy Lowrie

Tweaker Vision - Brooch

Vitreous enamel, silver, copper, brass, stainless steel pin

2.5 x 1.5 x 0.5 inches

Retail Value: $325

“This brooch uses metal, glass and plastic for their vibrant colors and illustrative potential. I am motivated by their ability to be beautiful but intense, like a surreal fever-dream. I am also inspired by the use of enamel across history and culture to depict monsters and the fantastical. This piece is the result of a study I made for a larger piece that I fell in love with and decided to remake in new colors. In larger pieces, the eyes are a small detail, but in this piece they exist on their own and command a different kind of presence.”

Ashley Wingo 365 - Brooch

Pearls, copper, foam, thread, steel, spray paint

3 x 3 x 0.5 inches

Retail Value: $450

“My work investigates the fictional nature of memory and how nostalgia manipulates our personal record of events. I use what I call peripheral materials— trash, discarded household items, paper scraps, and objects that have lost their usefulness or function, to fabricate new narratives. I bring these materials and objects from the margins into focus to explore memory and the subconscious. I investigate these ideas through jewelry, small objects and installations, recording a history of use, while also capturing the cunning and deceptive nature of engaging with the past.”

Ashley

Buchanan 2pc Folded Pendant with Folded Studs

Brass, powder coat, silver, rubber

24 x 5 x 2 inches

Retail Value: $290

“My work focuses on image, pattern and decoration to reference ornamentation and historical jewelry. As a maker, it is my intention to challenge the conventions of handmade jewelry through the use of traditional and non-traditional materials and processes. I cut iconic silhouette shapes from brass and silver sheet metal using a traditional jeweler’s saw and apply color using an industrial process called powder coating. My goal is to speak with a fresh voice by creating wearable works of art that push the boundaries of jewelry while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic.”

Aurélie Guillaume

Les Papillons - Earrings

Enamel on copper, sterling silver

2.1 x 1.6 x 0.75 inches

Retail Value: $425

Using enamel and her whimsical illustrative style, Aurélie draws from vintage novelty jewelry, costume pieces, and kitsch aesthetics to create adornments meant to spark a smile. Her intricate enameling process brings this fantasy world to life, inviting wearers to embrace a bit of joy and humor in their everyday style.

Chelsea Nanfelt Rowe

What a Wonderful Life - Brooch

Glass, sterling silver, faux pearls, nylon

2.75 x 2 x 1 inches

Retail Value: $275

“What a Wonderful Life” builds on Chelsea’s recent work, probing how materials possess life. She explores how our shared humankind imbues and injects materials in with personalities reflective of ourselves. Curious about the fuzzy aura of human life encircling materials, she is motivated to highlight the stories infused in and witnessed by the things we surround ourselves with and use.

Brice Garrett

Tableau Ring 6 (Pearl O)

Silver, freshwater pearls

1 x 0.75 x 0.75” inches, size 7

Retail Value: $390

“The Tableau Series is a collection of rings inspired by the composition and storytelling of historical tableau, still life, and color field paintings. Each ring uses the signet plane as a mantel, much like a blank canvas, and features bezel-set gemstones in vibrant, asymmetrical arrangements. These gemstones are placed with a sense of spontaneity, capturing the dynamic unpredictability of a still life in motion. Each ring is one-of-a-kind with its own distinct arrangement and unique personality.”

#08

Cindy Cheng Ellipsis Ring

Sterling Silver, hand-faceted and carved topaz

0.8 x 0.5 inches, size 5.5

Retail Value: $560

“As my metals and jewelry practice has progressed, I’ve become dedicated to finding as many ways to integrate my background as a sculptor. Building strange forms with wax, casting and then potentially continuing to manipulate the cast object through surface treatment, enameling and stone setting has become a focus of exploration. I am also fascinated with gem carving and faceting - why not have agency in sculpting both the metal as well as the stones that are embedded into that object? For me, this constant, reciprocal engagement between the hand and the object is part of what makes these works not just wearables, but small and intimate sculptures. My Ellipsis ring was created with these actions and ideas in mind.”

Emily Cobb Pink Lovebirds - Brooch

3D Printed Nylon, Acrylic, Steel

6 x 2 x 2.5 inches

Retail Value: $120

“Birds have long been symbols of themes like travel, freedom, and connection. Their migration patterns and behaviors naturally tie into these ideas, and many cultures give them special meanings. This brooch is part of a limited series that explores the connection between love, long-distance relationships, and the desire for companionship. The front of the pink ‘lovebird’ brooch features abstract, intertwined feathers, while the back reveals tiny bird feet that gently latch onto the pins, a fitting gesture of connection.”

Dongyi Wu Keyring27 - Earrings

Fabric, cotton, sterling silver, sewing thread

4.9 x 1.4 x 1.1 inches

Retail Value: $300

By using a wide range of unconventional materials, Dongyi creates her narrative jewelry pieces with expressive language. Since 2018, Dongyi has focused on impressions she experiences of people, transferring these quick images into wearable jewelry pieces. The inspiration for the Keyring series comes from the everyday object, the key chain. Dongyi narrates the stories and personalities of their owners by recording the interesting details of the key chains with wearable pieces. She infuses the statement earrings with artistic sense and unique street style. The chains are hand-stitched and unbelievably lightweight and have sterling silver backs.

Elliot Keeley Cheese / Cake

Painted steel

6 x 6 inches each

Retail Value: $700

I create and solve problems through my work, starting with parts, pieces, and raw materials. I explore how these components come together—planning, disassembling, and reconstructing—while balancing the allure of imperfection with careful craftsmanship. I’m curious about what gives an object its soul and how familiar forms can hold universal meaning. By reinterpreting the familiar, I reveal unexpected significance and provoke a perceptual shift, making the ordinary mysterious. My work is inspired by small wonders, covetable objects, and the relationships we build with the things and people we choose to surround ourselves with.

#14

Everett Hoffman

Flower Lamp

Steel, Paint, Lighting components

7 x 7 x 4 inches

Retail Value: $400

“A pesky weed, a plant, a source of sustenance. These flowers are a stylized version filtered through images online, photos taken on walks, and remembered times spent picking weeds in baseball fields. Their images uploaded to the cloud, digitally manipulated, and returned to the physical world by hand. The weed’s creation is an act of finding and articulating an object— an object creating a source of light, a wayfinding tool. The light filtered through the petals.”

#15

J Taran Diamond

Shimmy - Brooch

Recycled sterling silver, stainless steel

1.25 inches x 3 inches x 1.25 inches

Retail Value: $395

“Recently, I’ve been interested in the curl as a symbol of convolution and disorganization. I have been attempting to make objects that, though meticulously crafted, appear to be a distillation of those qualities. ‘Shimmy’ features a single silver curl clad in 30 independently articulated and individually polished silver hearts, which serve to obscure the object underneath with a continuously shifting representation of itself.”

#13

Jolynn Santiago 3,596 - Brooch

Hand-cut sterling silver, 14k gold, nickel 1 x 1 x 0.3 inches

Retail Value: $450

“My work is influenced by the relationships I observe between mundane marks and time; water rings from a coffee cup, dust settling on a surface. I conduct material research to understand how jewelry, metals, alloys, and graphite can be manipulated to communicate these ideas.

Every morning I use a broom to sweep the floor, a ritual that redirects my anxious energy. Each morning the pile changes shape, size, and variety. Like this daily ritual, the process of creating my work involves tedious, repetitive acts. The jewelry and objects I create loosely references the forms and textures of the dust and debris collected each morning.”

Kelly Jean Conroy Day and Night - Earrings

Black onyx & reconstituted turquoise, oxidized sterling silver

2 x 1.5 x 0.125 inches each

Retail Value: $420

“I view my jewelry as layered paintings- collages with dimensional elements that allude to a story. Imagery- color- layers- are all constant pursuits of mine. The work is about loss, something that touches all of us eventually, and also about the beauty of life. We all carry these experiences of life and loss within the inner layers of our being, and I see my necklaces as a way to wear these moments on one’s outer layer. I combine gemstones and mother of pearl with the laser, etching either actual flower silhouettes from my walks outside or imagery from vintage botanical illustrations. Everything is a small important part; symbolic of the cyclical nature of life and death, growth and decay, and the connections to what we hold dear and precious to us.”

#17

Jordan Furze Objet Ring

Bronze

1.5 inches x 1.5 inches x 1.25 inches, size 8.5 - 9

Retail Value: $250

“Through the use of colour, text, and symbolism I voice, record, and explore my social and personal concerns and interests in regards to modernity, politics, and modern deity. I am involved with the ways people and things become elevated beyond the everyday and where these beliefs come from and how they affect us, be this through political stances such as with Brexit or in the fetishization of objects and in turn their veneration.”

#18

#20

Liz Clark

Bow Medallion - Brooch

Oxidized sterling silver, stainless steel

2 inches x 2 inches x .125 inches

Retail Value: $420

Liz Clark is a maker, metalsmith and flora enthusiast living and working in Providence, RI. She received her BFA in Crafts/Material Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Liz’s work investigates and celebrates the language of flowers and their meaning. Often incorporating kinetic elements, her work creates a symbiotic relationship between it and the wearer. The jewelry relies upon the wearer for movement that sets the kinetic elements in motion. Without the wearer, the work remains dormant.

#19

Gently Hold The Soft Thing - Pendant

Amber, mother of pearl, bone, sterling silver, silk, pigmented ink, beeswax

2 x 16.5 x 0.25 inches

Retail Value: $575

“In image and writing I explore holding, tenderness, and fragility which manifests in this little necklace. These small, scrimshaw vignettes are set like stones on an intensely fabricated linkage. The materials must be soft enough to engrave, but hard enough to be worn and hold the ink that is rubbed into the designs. Just as these images are held in the matrixes of pearl, bone, and amber–the wearer and creator hold the meanings of these images in the matrixes of themselves. The resulting object is intimate and precious, illustrated on front and back to entice the wearer and viewer into further examination.”

#21

Mary Hallam Pearse Holding - Ring

Silver, 14k gold

1.25 inches x 1 inch x 1 inch, size 8

Retail Value: $1000

“Jewelry is the subject, object and material used to amplify ideas inherent in jewelry such as ornamentation, consumption, seduction and desire. I’m interested in how jewelry and specifically architectural ornamentation signal meaningpersonally, socially, and psychologically while existing on the threshold of bodies and buildings. The spaces where jewelry and ornament exist are where personal identity and civic meaning are declared, connecting us to our environment, ourselves, and our senses. I combine found forms from traditional jewelry and floral motifs to vintage plastic charms, to construct complex forms.”

#23

Molly Shulman See You Next Tuesday - Earrings

Silver, diamonds

2 x 2 x 0.5 inches

Retail Value: $295

“’See you next Tuesday!’ Is a phrase that has often been used with a wink and an understanding of the word that belongs in its place. Co-opted by James Kennedy, DJ and wanna-be-badboy from Vanderpump Rules, this phrase became the name of his bi-weekly DJ set at the infamous SUR.

One of the things I love about reality TV is that I can watch people act in ways and say things that I would never do or say (regardless of how much I might want to). This is part of the mass appeal of the genre. With my pieces that focus on the quotes and statements, I am hoping to give the wearer a chance to make a statement without actually saying anything. “

#22

Sara Bautista

Bound - Ring

Sterling silver

1 x 1 x 0.5 inches, one-size

Retail Value: $250

“Bound is an exploration of value, tradition, and transformation in jewelry. Starting with inexpensive rings altered with impermanent materials—twine, rubber, and wax—I cast them in bronze, silver, and gold, inverting traditional hierarchies by displaying the gold ring at the bottom. Each piece sits in a 3D-printed box resembling an iPhone with a two-way mirror, reflecting viewers and questioning how technology shapes worth. Using AI design and unconventional materials, Bound breaks away from engagement ring conventions, inviting us to reconsider what we hold as precious and the ways we’re “bound” to ideas of value and permanence.”

#24

Steven KP

Fold Study in Walnut - Pendant

Hand-carved American Walnut, leather

2.5 x 1.25 x 0.25 inches

Retail Value: $450

Steven KP is an artist, jeweler, and educator based in Providence, Rhode Island.

Currently a Visiting Lecturer at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, KP received their MFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing from the Rhode Island School of Design and holds a BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Susie Ganch

Untitled Artwork

Collected and reused single-use plastic bags (newspaper delivery bags and shopping bags)

40 x 2 x 27 inches

Retail Value: $2700

“I work with abject waste from human consumption that has not (yet) found its way back to a functional afterlife. The overwhelming excess found in each piece confronts viewers, asking them to consider how one innocent plastic bottle, lid, or bag easily amasses, has endless reach, and becomes a permanent part of our environment. I fabricate reimagined landscapes from our collective accumulations. Earbuds are trapped in stone settings, cut strips of used shopping bags are tufted into tapestries, and thousands of water bottles are cold connected in gridded patterns. I see our collective ambivalence and am driven by solastalgia. Beauty is an invitation to examine dark details while being immersed in the discomforting scale of the waste presented. It is the way I work through grief and eco-anxiety without negating the overwhelming scale of our consumption-fueled threat to the environment.”

Sarah Holden

Mini Steel Polka Dot Bow - Brooch

Mild steel

2.75 x 2 x 1 inches

Retail Value: $300

“There is beauty in process. Process, much like material, can have gender associations. I make work that challenges traditional gender associations through material and process. This brooch has been made using the industrial material of steel and the industrial processes of oxyacetylene welding and angle grinding. Yet the resulting is a cute little bow. What does it mean to make a motif connected to femininity out of a material connected to masculinity? As a woman who struggles to receive the same benefits and privileges as men, I’m curious what it is about masculinity that is so different and so much more valuable?”

#26

Toni Mayner String Ring

Oxidized Sterling Silver, Cubic Zirconia

1” x 0.75” inches, size 9

Retail Value: $110

“The string rings collection of 8 developed out of a playful experiment with a ring from the ‘Lost & Found’ series that explored discarded objects and their renewal.

My work tends to the serious, in this work I wanted to free myself from this and return to play...just to see what happened. The final structure of the setting was a happy accident resulting from the pressure of the mould-making process. The setting of the stones an extension of this joyful moment at my bench.”

Ye-Jee Lee

Since 1970-3 - Brooch

Sterling silver, leather

2.9 inches x 2.9 inches x 1.1 inches

Retail Value: $700

Ye-jee is working with the press technique using collected metal dies from the different countries. The main idea of her work is pressing leather or metal, using useless retro metal molds in a different way of typical use. She used to think that shaping materials using a press was done in the industrial process or that it was suitable for only manufacturing the uniform and boring goods. However, the more she experiments it the more she could find out different ways to use it for creation. She tried to do away with stereotypes of method of the press using dies and discover hidden creativity of the machine that only it can be developed through her own work.
