Alex yw un o’r cyflwynwyr teledu mwyaf poblogaidd yn y Deyrnas Unedig ac mae wedi cydgyflwyno prif sioe gylchgrawn BBC One, The One Show, am 10 mlynedd.
Dechreuodd Alex ei gyrfa fel ymchwilydd teledu yng Nghymru, ei gwlad enedigol, cyn symud i ochr arall y camera gyda’i swydd gyflwyno gyntaf ar BBC Choice. Yna, ymunodd Alex ag S4C fel cyflwynydd ar y rhaglen ganu Cân i Gymru ac aeth ymlaen i gyflwyno amrywiaeth o raglenni plant, chwaraeon a theithio.
Yn 2010, enwyd Alex yn gydgyflwynydd benywaidd newydd The One Show, wrth ochr Matt Baker. Yn ogystal â’r rôl hon gyda’r BBC, mae Alex hefyd wedi cyflwyno nifer o raglenni eraill i’r sianel, gan gynnwys Shop Well For Less gyda Steph McGovern, cyd-angori’r Gemau Invictus yn 2018, cydgyflwyno Let's Dance For Comic Relief, bu’n rhan o dîm y BBC ar gyfer priodas Frenhinol y Tywysog William a Kate Middleton, a’i rhaglen ddogfen unigol ei hun a gafodd glod gan feirniaid, Alex Jones - Fertility and Me.
Alex is one of the UK's best loved TV presenters and has co-hosted The One Show, BBC One's flagship magazine show, for 10 years.
Alex began her career as a television researcher in her native Wales before moving to the other side of the camera with her first presenting job on BBC Choice. Alex then joined S4C as a presenter on the singing programme Can i Gymru (A Song for Wales) and went on to front a variety of children's, sports and travel programmes.
In 2010, Alex was announced as the new female co-host on The One Show, alongside Matt Baker. In addition to this BBC role, Alex has also fronted numerous other programmes for the channel, including Shop Well For Less alongside Steph McGovern, co-anchoring the Invictus Games in 2018, co-presenting Let's Dance For Comic Relief, was part of the BBC team for the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton and her own critically acclaimed one-off documentary, Alex Jones - Fertility and Me.
