Do I have to pay?

You may be entitled to fee remission if: • You are over 16 but under 19 years old on 31 August 2014 • You are aged over 19 and studying a full time course up to and including Level 2 • You are aged 19–23 and meet one of the below:

• Studying a full time course up to and including Level 3 • Do not have a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification • Taking an Entry Level or Level 1 to progress to Level 2 qualification • Taking your first Level 4 without a Level 3 qualification • You are studying maths and English courses • You are in receipt of Employment Support Allowance (Work Related Activity Group) or Job Seekers Allowance* • You are in receipt of benefits and doing a course that could lead to employment** • You have left the British Armed Forces and are studying a first full Level 3 qualification**

You may also be entitled to help with your course fees through the College Learner Support Funds.** You may be required to participate in an interview and initial assessment when applying for a part-time course. If you have a disability or learning difficulties please don’t be afraid to tell us, we have fantastic support on offer.

Qualifications Guide

24+ Advanced Learning Loans Anyone aged 24+ and living in the UK will be able to apply for an Advanced Learning Loan for Further Education courses at Level 3 and 4.

You don’t pay anything back if your loan is for the Access to Higher Education course and you progress to and complete Higher Education study. More information can be found at: www.gov.uk/advanced-learning-loans

Higher Education Loans Higher National and Foundation Degree students at Bishop Auckland College LOAN can qualify for a Student Loan to cover the full cost of their tuition fees in the same way as degree students at university. More information can be found at: www.gov.uk/student-finance
