project statement Project Description
Purpose
Choose a current book and create a full case study/proposal for a responsive website/mobile interface which will promote the book, incorporating i t’s marketing material: text, images. Overall art direction is derived form the book cover design: Use same fonts, photo sourcing and overall layout as appropriate to maintain brand consistency with product on shelves.
The purpose of this website is to promote the book and to give viewers a glimpse at what the novel is about, what the author is doing to spread domestic violence awareness, and also to sell copies of the book.
Client Harper Teen Publishing/Holly Cupala
Target Audience This book is targeted for young teen to young adult ranging in ages from 14 to 23, who enjoy reading powerful and emotional stories about self-discovery. Could also suit a classroom setting, so instructors/teachers could also reach out to purchase copies of the books for their students.

Obstacles One of the main obstacles will be driving the viewers to the website and convincing them to purchase a copy of the book, either for themselves, a classroom setting, or for their teen. The site will play an book teaser video that is illustrated and animated, it will have a dramatic feel and I think really excite the readers about this book, hopefully this too will drive for purchasing.
Style & Tone Deep color palette, but still complimentary. Grungy/Dark/Emotional feel. Style will be crisp and gridded but still have a grunge/punk feel from the imagery and colar palette selected.
