Project Overview This project is to create a suite of at least 4 patterns based around a stated theme. Within the four patterns at least two will consist of fundamentally different patterns in terms of imagery. The remaining two can be explorations of alternative color schemes.

Concepts & Themes Key Words: smooth, creepy, neat & passion The concepts of the patterns are more about moods and feelings. I’ve always enjoying thriller movies and Allen Poe’s narratives. They gave me a lot inspirations not only on contents but also senses of feelings. And by combining ordinary objects, for instance, the destination symbol on the google map, I created this pattern 1 to arouse a sense of being watched or premeditated in a middle a of something. When it is tessalated, the feeling doubles immediately. However, during this project, I was also surprised that two simple matches could also create a very neat pattern. I expect these vector elements and patterns to be applied on a motion graphic project, for example, the eye on pattern1 to blink, matches to rotate in different perspectives, “juicy”drops to be drained from the leg, and the musk to split. Except for the motion graphic, I can also see these patterns on the Halloween packages or related gift wraps.
