PLAY LAB: A Research and Development Project exploring Game and Theatre About B-Arts B Arts are artists, producers and theatre makers based in Hartshill Road, Stoke. We have a 31 year history of creating art in parks, city streets, village halls and beaches as opposed to traditional cultural venues. Our work fuses art-forms such as theatre, film, digital media, live music and carnival arts. It is our core principle to make art accessible for all. We enjoy creating work with non-arts partners as this develops our own processes. Find out more about us at www.b-arts.org.uk, @_barts, facebook.com/BArtsStoke About ‘PLAY’ ‘Play’ is a research and development project which aims for an exchange of ideas and creative processes between games design students and theatre makers; for example, but not exclusively: scripting, music, levels, characters, storytelling, with a view to B-Arts creating a theatre piece for young people. We anticipate that this will be an opportunity for games design students to enrich their practice and their CV through collaboration with an immersive theatre company. We will carry this R&D out by working in partnership with Staffordshire University Games Design Department.
