Farewell to Mayor Alan Brundrett
On May 13, 2025, Mayor Brundrett will convene his last city council meeting. After 22 years serving the citizens of this community, eight (8) years as council member and fourteen (14) years as mayor, he feels it is time to step back and allow new leadership to take the reins.
Under his leadership, Azle has seen many transformative changes including new facilities like the new city hall/ police station complex and a new fire station; park upgrades such as the establishment of Central Park and the splashpad; creation of The FeedLot, Azle’s first food truck park; financial stability; increased retail presence; and many new housing developments. The impact of Mayor Brundrett’s service to this community will be felt for generations.
Join us in thanking him for his incredible contributions to our community at a reception on May 13, 2025 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm in the Community Room at Azle City Hall, 505 W. Main Street.
