The stars of CRE

I’d be lying to say putting an issue of People & Projects to Know in your hands is easy. Pouring over pages of nominations and tapping into on our editorial team’s knowledge of the industry to narrow down each category to just five individuals is a painstaking process — but it always reveals delightful insights about the people who make real estate a reality.
On the pages that follow, you’ll meet former Copper Bowl royalty, an architect who performs improv in two languages, retired pro athletes, Arizona natives with deep roots and newcomers to the desert alike. Be sure to check out their full profiles on azbigmedia.com when they publish in November. They truly are people you want to know.
The developments highlighted this year are just as awe-inspiring as the folks who work on them. From high-rise residential towers to sleek corporate headquarters — and everything in between — familiarize yourself with these 50 projects and the value they bring to our great state. Congratulations once again to the professionals featured in the 2026 edition of PTK, and to everyone who helped bring these stand-out projects from concept to completion.
And I mean this sincerely when I say thank you for making this job difficult. It’s a testament to the wealth of talent that exists in Arizona’s commercial real estate industry. I wouldn’t want it any other way.

A HOLE IN ONE
The expanded Evie’s Pavillion serves as PTK Launch Party location

By KYLE BACKER
When it came time to select a site for the PTK Launch Party, Papago Golf Club’s recently renovated event hall had an undeniable advantage — an incredible vantage point of the nearby Papago Buttes and lush greens of the iconic course.
Named after Evelyn Grubb — philanthropist and wife of Phoenix automotive business icon Lou Grubb — Evie’s Pavillion now offers 4,400 square feet of event space, representing more than a 50% increase in size. The 1,500-square-foot expansion can be subdivided into smaller rooms, allowing the venue to accommodate groups ranging from 25 to 250 people. To handle the additional visitors, over 100 parking spaces were added to the property.
The pavillion’s indoor/outdoor configuration provides easy access to the surrounding natural beauty, making it ideal for weddings, fundraisers and large gatherings — even magazine cover shoots.
