CENTRAL ARIZONA PROJECT delivers Colorado River water to the central and southern regions of the state. Less precipitation and a hotter, drier climate is the ‘new normal,’ and Colorado River users are facing shortage in the next few years. The programs of the past must be supplemented with new conservation approaches and supply augmentation to maintain a sustainable water supply and Arizona’s quality of life.
