Next year AGS celebrates its landmark 425th an niversary. With its long history of inspiring and nurturing young people to explore for them selves who they want to be and find their place in the world there is no better time to celebrate 425 years of nurturing character.


Its unique Georgian red brick building with constrasting large white windows together with distinctive cornicing and facades spreading outwards from a central entrance provides rich inspiration for a commemorative logo.
The simplicity of the logo reflects the School’s acknowledgement of its rich history in a very modern and future facing way.

Stripped down to stroke lines the Primary logo transforms into a sleek Line logo which can stand alone in digital and print visuals.
The colour should be uniform, with the 425 in gold crossing the building.

The Premium logo depiction of the Primary logo uses the building in a light gold patone. This version of the logo should not be used in print unless used on certain premium quality printed materials with special finishes such as foil or etching.

To be used against claret or black backgrounds or over images where the Primary Logo would not be clearly displayed.

The logo and text must be the same colour with only the 425 in light gold patone.



BUILDING
Instantly recognisable, with symmetrical Georgian structure spreading outwards. Spacing between blocks represent the intri cate cornicing and signature cirle window with keystones placed in the centre of the roof.

COLOUR FADE
Working outward the grey block colours gradually get lighter giv ing a modern feel to the logo. Emphasis is placed on the central darker grey block as it is the main entrance to the School.
FONTS
Additional font type used for the 425 -temporary one off cele bratory text addition to the brand assets. Not to be used on any other materials or any other School context.

The take away message from the commemorative logo is that the School is celebrating 425 years of history. 425 is the only element to stand outside of the current brand guidlelines, with the addition of light gold patone and devation from standard AGS brand fonts.

To fit within recommended element sizing the logo has been specially reduced and reformat ted to sit neatly within social media profile pic ture dimensions.




The main entrance of the School has been used, together with the overarching 425 year celebra tory message.

APPLICATION
IN APPLICATION
Branding can be repleaced for the celebratory season across all mediums. New footers could be introduced on email and print communica tions.
To protect the brand and ensure assets are used correct new templates should be created on case by case basis for out going communi cations.
New marketing materials (both in print and dig ital) to be considered and in turn authorised by Development Director and Headmaster.

Website usage will need a bespoke logo in a specialised format to ensure it fits in the space with maximun impact. (Current view not as im pactful as it could be).


IN APPLICATION
Correct Primary and Line Logos must be used for coloured backgrounds.
Darker backgrounds such as claret, black or im age rich need to use the Reversed Out Logo as well as the Primary Logo.
