Shykerra Lonnette O’Quinn , known as Shy, is a singing , songwriting southerner from Hermanville, MS. (Try saying that 3x fast)! Although she can’t wait to travel and interact with her fans, Shy hasn’t gotten any bookings just yet. She has been singing since age 4, and writing since age 12. The desire to sing and create came natural to her. She grew up in the church where she was able to use her voice in the Youth Choir. She started off writing poems, which eventually transformed into songs. After seeing how easily it was to form, Shy was impressed and stuck to it. Shes the youngest of 4, and is very family oriented! Growing up, things didn’t always come easy. They weren’t rich, but they always got by. Seeing her mom struggle and constantly hearing her and her siblings stress about bills, money, etc. she knew she had to save them some kind of way. At age 16’ Shy started posting videos in hope that she would get the recognition

and exposure that was needed to get started on her career. She would post covers, as well as post short videos of her own lyrics. After 8 years of posting, Shy decided to post a classical video that shined light on how amazing her mom is. With no intentions and not knowing that she would get the reaction she got, she finally went viral.
