MODEL MY’AKO MIRAJ

My’ako Miraj is a Traveling Model living in Dallas Tx. She was inspired by her Mother, who was one of the first Black Fashion Models in Seattle, Washington. She wanted to be able to follow in her mothers footsteps and to inspire other young girls to persue their dreams. She fell in love with the world of Modeling and it quickly became her Passion.

We asked My’ako if there was ever a breaking point or time when she felt like giving up. She says that the hardest part of staying motivated, is when she get’s discouraged by others. “Funny you ask that, because I’m currently going through a lot in my life and have to wake up every day and make the decision to get out of bed and push myself. I feel like giving up sometimes. I think everyone feels like this at some point in their life, but NO, we can’t Quit, because there’s something in us that has to keep going! We have to keep fighting for our dreams and happiness. That’s what life is all about! Never Give Up and always Keep God Close.” Her proudest moment in this industry was getting a spread in Voyage Magazine of Dallas and she hopes to continue getting published and recognized for all the hard work she has put into her career as a professional Model.

My’ako would like to give a Special shout out to three amazing people in her life, who she says haven’t given up on her when she gave up on myself. “ I am so thankful for my Daughter, Ajhene! That little girl inspires me to be a better person and to finish what I started. She has a heart of Gold and everything I do is for her, so I can’t and won’t just give up, when I have a great little person looking up to me. I also want to thank my friends, Yvette Todea and Eli Orellana. These are two special people with pure hearts and good intentions. Thank You for believing in me!”
