Enrichment

Enrichment opportunities are specific to the subject area your apprenticeship is in. Examples of the kinds of activities included are trips and visits, guest speakers, industry insights from employers, subject specific skills workshops, digital, literacy and numeracy development, CV writing, presentation skills and managing conflict at work. Your tutor/assessor and training coordinator can guide you to what is available.

Ambassador Opportunity - a way to boost your personal skills?

Apprenticeship ambassadors support a variety of events and activities, that aim to inspire and inform future apprentices about the benefits of undertaking an apprenticeship.

As an apprenticeship ambassador, you can boost your professional and personal skills, build your network, and take part in training that will benefit your personal development.

You can also give something back by inspiring the next generation of school leavers to apply for an apprenticeship.

Student Voice First

Student Voice First is in place to encourage students to share their views and opinions about the college experience.

At Abingdon & Witney College, we believe that our students should be at the heart of everything we do.

We want to empower every student to speak out and share ideas, because every student’s voice should be heard.

What is Student Voice First?

To support every student to have a voice, we offer students key lead roles, empowering them to influence college decisions in curriculum and business.

This new system gives those involved the opportunity to develop their soft employability skills and add something amazing to their CV.

We will be running a mentor system to ensure that all of those in lead roles get the support they need to carry out their responsibilities successfully, with activities that enhance your skills.
