About this book This book showcases the exhibition ‘New India Designscape’ organized and curated at the prestigious Triennale Design Museum, Milan, Italy from 14th Dec 2012 - 24th Feb 2013. The event was in collaboration with curator, Simona Romano and intended to look at the Young Contemporary Design Landscape in India.
New India Designscape Book The exhibition, India - New Design, is a part of the design exhibition series conducted in the previous years by the Triennale Design Museum (one of the most important and regarded institution in Europe based in the Design Capital city of Milan). After China,Korea,Brazil, in previous years, India is the guest country in 2012-13 intending to be introduced with new waves of design that will shape the future. Exhibition comprises some 30 artifacts ranging within : - works of young designers - artifacts from both designers and non-designers - different typologies of projects: Graphic and Information design, Jewelry; Fashion; Product design; prototypes of grassroots design; in physical, Film and video format. The event shows, a young India and some pretty Global-Indian or India-International identity forward for the audience which is not aware with Indian creativity and its vibrancy. It is a showcase to bring forth to the realm of international community what is the line of thought that moves young indian designers and what could possibly shape our combined future.
