THE ARTICLE

Article to contain information about your campdraft, including the events run, the placegetters (more mentioned about this below), your sponsors, committee and helpers.

Maximum of 900 words.

All campdraft results will be published on the ACA Website and a QR code will be included in your campdraft article to direct members here. There is no need to list or repeat all the event's results in your article past third place.

Consider including interviews with past & present committee members, volunteers, cattle donors or event winners in the article.

Please credit the author of your article.

THE PHOTOS

No more than eight photos will be included in the article.

All photos must have a resolution of 1-2mb.

To check a photo's resolution, right click on the photo with your mouse. A box will appear with various icons available that you can click on. Select the ‘Properties’ option. From here you will be able to view your photos resolution.

Please include the photo's name/caption/photographer in the file name. Including rider and horse’s names, what event they were competing in, who is in the lineup photo, photographer name of the draft and any other important information.

ACA will not publish images in the ACA News that have photographer watermarks or signatures on them. The photographer/s will be credited elsewhere in the article. The photographer/s may include their logo in the article.

If committee members captured the photos and you are not sure which members captured them, please credit your campdraft committee as the photographer.

The committee may include the event's sponsor banner in a jpeg or pdf format.

ACA follows a Style Guide when producing content for public & private viewing. The Association understands the importance of promoting our sport in the best light, therefore, the photos we select must align with these beliefs and actions. We also adhere to the National Campdraft Council of Australia (NCCA) Social Media Policy. ACA encourages you to consider reading the Social Media Policy (a copy can be obtained by contacting the ACA Office Team) and following the guidelines below.

THE ARTICLE

ACA will only publish campdraft and gymkhana events in the ACA News. Articles relating to polocrosse, challenges or rodeo events will not be published. Do not submit photos, articles or results discussing the above riding disciplines. Do not submit articles or images that reference alcohol, to the ACA News. If your committee’s sponsorship is related to a liquor store/business, please contact the ACA Magazine Coordinator to discuss this and how it could fit in your article.

THE PHOTOS

All children (Minis, Juniors and Juveniles) must be wearing helmets when riding horses. Not not submit the following photos:

Horses with mouths open or teeth showing.

Cattle with snot or saliva protruding from their nose and mouths. People standing, leaning or sitting on rails.

Unsafe actions of people in the background.

Other horse sports other than campdrafting and gymkhanas.

Riders riding dangerously/head jerking/collisions/possible collisions. Suspended riders.
