ASO Music Director Maestro Bay’s 20 th anniversary season

What do Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Bruckner, Stravinsky, and Poulenc have in common? They composed extraordinary works that will be performed by the Austin Symphony Orchestra during the 2017–18 season for the first time in its history. In fact, of the 25 compositions being programmed, 15 are first performances for the ASO. As strange as this may seem, it demonstrates how deep the orchestral literature is. But we haven’t neglected symphonic favorites either, which truly makes this a season with “Something for Everyone.” We look forward to performing all of this marvelous music for you.
