Hello again to our customers, both returning and prospective buyers. We are excited to bring to you another year’s offering.

We always welcome feedback on our bulls and have been pleased to hear an ongoing theme of longevity. We are certainly not the biggest bull producers, but we are raising bulls who last and who continue to perform in your herds. This year’s bull selection includes our usual yearling numbers, but also four 18 month old bulls. If you want to see the potential of the yearlings, take a look at these fellas and you will see what a solid mix of genetic backing and conservative feeding program can do for an animal, even if they are not the heaviest at weaning time.

We are not afraid to be selective in our cutting decisions at weaning and feel that we are bringing forth one of our most even sets of bulls from beginning to end. We have supplemental genomic data available that compares each animal to over a million cattle in the registry. If you don’t take our word for the quality of these animals, let the numbers do the talking. Each bull has been semen checked by our partners at Sweetgrass Veterinary. Viewing of the Bulls: Bulls will be in Platte March 12th and are available to view on sale day or feel free to contact us to come by the ranch beforehand. Terms & Conditions: All bulls sell by the suggested terms under the American Angus Association.

Liability: All persons attending the sale do so at their own risk. Assmus Angus is not liable for any property damage or accidents that may occur.

Ownership: Cattle are the property of the buyer as soon as they are sold with buyer taking complete risk. Buyers receive 100% possession. Assmus Angus will retain 1/3 semen interest rights.

Guarantee: We guarantee these bulls to be sound and fertile. To protect against loss of use, we strongly encourage livestock risk mortality insurance. We will pay 50% of the premium to cover the animal for 365 days Insurance available sale day with Martin-Trudeau Insurance.

Delivery: Free delivery within 300 mile radius. Bulls will be delivered after April 15th. Receive a $75 discount if you take home your bull sale day.

His H50K data has 12 single digit numbers, which means he ranks in the top percentages of those 12 categories. He's an eye-catcher.

His dam is a nice moderate frame cow with her second calf at side already. She is going to put bulls in our sale her whole life.

The 307 bull pairs a top 1% 50 score on both his WW and YW. He also ranks in the top 15% for YH. From pasture to plate his progeny won t stop growing!

The Stronghold sire is going to be a fan favorite for the next couple years with heifer bulls like 310 calling him daddy!

This 313 bull is moderate all the way around, but he is slightly above average all but 6 of the 50k traits.

317 s dam is an ET calf out of Dad s 1509 cow. She has a look and disposition I can see and like generation a er generation.

His dam is backed by 4 generations of AI d genetics. The deep sided Chloe family will strectch those hiefer calves all four directions

Heifer Bull

His 50k data has the most 1 s and 2 s of the o ering. Check if they are the traits you like.

He ratioed well for this group for the four carcass traits that all went above 100 average .

I like the dam of this guy. A good mama cow that puts a big ole ribeye on her babies.

Stronghold 2122 and G Justi ed in his pedigree he will produce low birth weight high IMF tasty calves for years to come.

I fell in love with his dam when I found herin the Mogck and Sons sale. She is ahigh numbered cow been to the donorpen and bred back.

He is slightly below average on his birth weight, almost worthy of a heiferbull, and will spread it with a top 1% 50 on YH and 6% forCW.

His dam is the longevity winner for the dams of this group of bulls. 8 times without a miss. She fell back a few years but is catching back up to nish her career strong!

Statement from Sweetgrass Veterinary Services: Sweetgrass Veterinary Services is excited and proud to welcome everyone to the 2024 Assmus Angus bull production sale! Every year we look forward to partnering with this passionate cattle family on their animal health protocols and assisting in the preparation for this annual event. We encourage everyone to come take a look at the bulls and you will find this is one of the best offerings yet and they keep getting better and better every year.

All sale bulls offered have passed a thorough breeding soundness exam which included evaluation of semen motility and morphology, scrotal measurements, and visual examination of eyes, hoof and leg conformation. To reduce stress and times through the chute, yearling bulls were also carcass ultrasounded by CUP Lab certified tech, Jeff Schoenfelder, at the time of the breeding exam. The bulls have received a complete vaccination protocol from birth to sale day and have received their first pre-breeding vaccination as well as a footrot, pinkeye and anthrax vaccinations. The bulls have been poured for the control of internal and external parasites and blood tested negative for BVD.

In good practice, we do encourage a 3 week quarantine period before contact with your herd to allow them to get over the high risk time after the stress of transportation and to work with your local veterinarian to prepare your bull for breeding by repeating a fertility test prior to pasture turn out.
