In March, Net Zero Leiston won Small Project of the year at the East of England Energy Efficiency Awards.

To date, IHI Ltd has installed a total of 29 insulation measures in Leiston. This work is having a tangible impact on the lives of local residents. Here’s what residents have been saying about the scheme…

Testimonials:

The award was for the numerous homes in Leiston which have recently benefited from the installation of new insulation measures. The project is grateful to the efforts of IHI Ltd. for getting these measures installed, at no cost to the household, using ECO and Local Authority Delivered Green Home Grant funding. Projects like this are helping to keep homes warmer and bills lower for people in Leiston. Most of the installations conducted have been loft and wall insulation.

“It made a big difference speaking to one of the team in the Coop. The disruption is well worth it. I am hoping it’ll save me some money on bills during a difficult winter.”

Mrs S. Received wall insulation and room-in-roof insulation. It is estimated that the property will require over 3,850 kWh per year less energy for heating, resulting in an annual saving of around £390 on the property’s energy bills.

“No disruption caused, very happy with the service”

Mr A. Received electric storage heating and loft insulation.

“Smooth process from start to finish. Impressed with how clean and tidy the installers were whilst they carried out the work”

Mr H. Received loft insulation.

“Quick service, install only took an hour. Left the place nice and tidy”

Thermal Imaging Camera – Still time to book!

In the Winter Edition of the newsletter we promoted the opportunity to have a survey conducted on your property with a Thermal Imaging Camera. This can help identify energy efficiency issues such as inefficient window glazing, or the need for loft insulation.

Net Zero Leiston are still taking bookings for surveys but act quickly to secure yours! The cameras will only be in Leiston between 11 and 25 of April.
