Leiston Town Centre Masterplan Framework

High level concept designs for the future of Leiston town centre have been developed as part of the Leiston Town Centre Masterplan Framework, which is being led by East Suffolk Council, working in partnership with Leiston Town Council, Leiston Community Land Trust, and Suffolk County Council.

The Masterplan Framework, which was approved by East Suffolk Council earlier this year includes improvements to public spaces, better connectivity between key locations and enhanced cycling and walking routes. It will provide a clear plan and direction to create a prosperous town centre whether as a place in which to live, work or visit.

The document will be used to identify redevelopment opportunities in the town over the next 10 to 15 years and help attract investment.

Chairman Cllr John Last BEM said ‘We are delighted to see this Framework come forward, signalling investment in the town for future prosperity. Thank you to everyone who contributed with ideas and comments during the consultation phase. Leiston Town Council looks forward to working with partners in the future to bring improvements to fruition’
