CURIO COLLECTION BY HILTON: A DESIGN-LED HOTEL

The Gantry Hotel is an independent hotel that is the fourth property within the Curio Collection in London. Launched in late 2021, The Gantry with its offering of 291 rooms is one of East London’s most exciting and hip hotel brands. The Gantry brings a thrilling collection of food and drink destinations to Stratford: an artisanal food market with integrated café on the ground floor, a dedicated sparkling bar, an all-day restaurant and an 18th floor sky bar with panoramic views across the city.

Taking over the 1st Floor, the design led hotel’s main dining spot is Union Social. Flanked on one side with an elegant cocktail bar and open kitchen and on the other with floor to ceiling windows and a huge wraparound terrace, the venue combines the ever-changing landscape of Stratford with an industrial-influenced interior.

The food offering at Union Social is a relaxed all-day menu with a global edge, reflective of London’s dynamic food scene and international population. Hailing from Sicily, Executive Chef Salvatore Coco, has travelled extensively and his menus reflect this, featuring flavours from all around the world, while elevating local produce from the south east of England.

Small plates include pan fried scallops, Jerusalem artichoke purée and crispy onion and homemade Portuguese style salt cod fritters while larger plates range from the Gantry burgster with rustic fries, Dorset crab and prawn bisque tagliatelle, and shoulder of lamb, pearl barley with fresh spring greens. A menu of healthy salads packed full of grains are light enough for guests looking for a quick lunch or mid- afternoon snack.

The drinks offering at Union Social has been created by Walter Pintus, an award-winning mixologist who has been involved in some of London’s finest institutions from The Ritz and The Connaught to The Mandrake and most recently The Conduit. Union Social’s ‘Travelling Urban Flavours’ cocktail menu features classics with a twist; where a Paloma is infused with British beetroot and thyme and a Piña Colada is finished with a touch of salted caramel. There is also an extensive wine and spirits list to delight all tastes and occasions.

Coupe at Union Social is The Gantry’s very own Sparkling Bar. Occupying an eye-catching illuminated counter bar, with its own banquette seating and outdoor terrace, Coupe at Union Social offers an ever-changing menu of effervescent specialities, from championing English sparkling wine to introducing the newest Hard Seltzers. Guests are able to choose from some of the UK’s finest fizz from revered estates, as well as enjoying Champagne, Prosecco, and a concise list of sparkling cocktails and spritzes.

A pop-up coffee bar, from the independent coffee company, Hermanos Colombian Coffee Roasters is on the hotel’s ground floor.

Situated just off The Gantry's lobby area, the coffee bar is a welcomed addition to the hotel's burgeoning food and beverage offering.

The service across the hotel is exceptional, check in and out process is seamless and prompt; the vibe is relaxing, the rooms are spacious, well equipped, have floorto-ceiling windows which offers charming views. The breakfast options are elaborate and meal time and bar experience is exquisite. The bar and terraces on the 18th floor offers one of the most spectacular panoramic views over London.
