Birth control pills, also known as oral contraceptive pills, are one of the most common forms of contraception. These contraceptive pills contain hormones and the hormones in the pill eventually act to prevent pregnancy.

Although there are no long term side effects of birth control pills as such, there are some which are temporary in nature.

These side effects usually go away after a couple of months (around 2–3 months). Some of the most common side effects that one can experience are:
