Newsom vetoes high school ethnic studies bill, says revisions are needed IN an unexpected move, California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday, Sept. 30 vetoed a bill that would have required ethnic studies to be taught in all high schools. Earlier this year, the California Legislature passed Assembly Bill 331, which would require public high school students to take an ethnic studies course in order to graduate. The bill states that the requirement would be in effect starting at the 2025-26 school year. PRESIDENT Donald Trump is reportedly feeling “great” and has gone 24 hours without any coronavirus symptoms, the White House’s top doctor said on Wednesday, October 7, two days after the president was discharged from the hospital. Dr. Sean Conley, in a memo released by the White House on Wednesday, said that the president’s physical exam and vital signs, as well as his oxygen saturation and respiratory rate, “all remain stable and in normal range.” “He’s now been fever-free for more than 4 days, symptom-free for over 24 hours, and has not needed nor received any supplemental oxygen since initial hospitalization,” Conley’s statement added. The memo added that the president’s blood work from Monday showed “detectable levels” of COVID antibodies. On Monday night, October 5, the president returned to the White House after a three-day stay at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The 74-year-old president arrived on the White House’s

PHILIPPINE President Rodrigo Duterte has extended his well wishes to United States President Donald Trump and first lady Melania after they both tested positive for COVID-19, Malacañang said on Monday, October 5. “Malapit na magkaibigan ang ating Presidente at si President Trump. BROADCAST giant ABS-CBN on Tuesday, October 6, announced that some of its entertainment shows and movies will return Saturday on A2Z, the newly-rebranded Zoe TV Channel 11. “Starting Saturday (October 10), some entertainment shows and movies of ABS-CBN will be seen on the newly rebranded A2Z Channel 11 through an agreement between ABS-CBN and Zoe Broadcasting Network Inc.,” the network said in a statement. “A2Z channel 11 will be seen on analog TV in Metro Manila and nearby provinces,” it added. Zoe Broadcasting Network,
