Presented by Northeast Wisconsin Theater Collaborative

his full-length Teen Edition of Anaïs Mitchell’s haunting, jazz-inflected folk opera follows Orpheus’ mythical quest to overcome Hades and regain the favor of his one true love, Eurydice.

Hadestown: Teen Edition is an intriguing and beautiful folk opera that delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love

stories—those of the young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and the immortal King Hades and Lady Persephone—the musical invites audiences on a powerful journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by the traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Anaïs Mitchell’s beguiling, sung-through score pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.

Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters

n conjunction with the release of their newest album on July 11th, “Pepper Tree Hill”, Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters will kick off a tour of the United States in August and perform at the Ashwaubenon Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 7:30PM. Special guest Fran Moran & The Nervous Wrecks will also take the stage during their Ashwaubenon stop.

“Pepper Tree Hill” marks The Boxmasters’ 19th release as the ever-prolific J.D. Andrew and Billy Bob “Bud” Thornton showcase their love as always for the sounds of the sixties and the inspiration of their studio.

Formed in 2006 by Thornton and Grammywinning sound engineer J.D Andrew, The Boxmasters have recorded an impressive and diverse catalogue of music that touches on their love of a wide array of influences, but most importantly, the rock and roll of the 1960’s. Listening to The Boxmasters, one can hear obvious odes to the Beatles, Byrds and Beach Boys, but also important to The Boxmasters are The Mothers of Invention, The Allman Brothers, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine and Big Star.

Walking With Ghosts

AN EVENING OF TRUE CRIME HAUNTINGS

oin Paranormal Researcher, author and podcaster Amy Bruni as she takes you through an unforgettable evening of ghost stories that originated from real-life murders. Was a man truly executed based on the testimony of a ghost? Is one ghostly voice the key to finally solving the Villisca Axe Murders? Is the basement of the post office that now stands where the HH Holmes murder castle once was as haunted as the postal workers there would have you believe?

Hear these stories and more, as Amy takes you through an evening of hauntings and the true crime mysteries surrounding them. Before she even takes the stage, peruse her small museum of haunted artifacts and spiritualist memorabilia. And at the end of the night, get your chance to ask her anything. Like, “can a ghost really follow you home?”

So Good: The Neil Diamond Experience

his is a show unlike any tribute you have ever seen or heard before. As a Broadway, television, and motion picture actor for over 35 years, Robert Neary creates a one-of-a-kind, cut-above-the-rest, production. He talks about the songs and tells stories behind them, from Neil’s interviews, quotes, and autobiographical books. You will swear you are watching the master himself, as he and the band perform 20 of Neil Diamond’s greatest hits.

Songs like “Cherry Cherry”, “I Am, I Said”, “I’m a Believer”, “Solitary Man”, “Holly Holy”, “Coming to America”, “Sweet Caroline” and so many more. With a surprise finale that will leave you absolutely breathless.

Robert grew up listening, mimicking, and creating his style to only 2 people in the music world: Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond. It has been a deep passion to one day perform and put together a tribute show to Neil Diamond like none other. And here it is.

The MadHatters

he MadHatters began in 1997, as the first a cappella on the UW campus. There are two schools of thought on the origin of the MadHatters: first, that the founding members loved to sing, and formed the group after choir rehearsals. The other, that the founders needed a way to fund their libation habits, discovered they could sing, and began charging people for concerts. We don’t know if either is true, but that, as they say, is Hatters History.

The musical prowess of the MadHatters has taken them to sometimes unbelievable heights. From performing at the UW Band Concert, to singing at Miller Park, the Governor’s Mansion, Lambeau field, and the White House (twice!), the MadHatters have performed at places that most college students can only dream of.
