La Asociación de Hoteles, Restaurantes y Empresas Turísticas del Norte Inc. MISIÓN: Agrupar y representar a los principales empresarios del sector privado hotelero, restaurantes y empresas turísticas del Destino, para fomentar y fortalecer el desarrollo sostenible.
VISIÓN: Ser la entidad líder en el sector privado para el posicionamiento del destino turístico de la costa norte, a través del mejoramiento continuo de ofertas consolidadas que sean competitivos y sostenibles.
Hotels, Restaurants and Tourist Association of the North Coast, ASHONORTE, founded in 2001, carries out significant actions against public and private organizations, focusing its efforts on emphasizing the importance of sustainable tourism, as well as being the representative of the hotel, tourism and gastronomic sector and the complementary offers that distinguish us as a unique destination.
This organization has the main objective of preserving, improving and promoting the sustainable tourism development of the entire province of Puerto Plata and its municipalities as a “TOURIST DESTINATION”.

Certamen para aficionados y profesionales de la fotografía con el objetivo de resaltar los atractivos turísticos, acciones sociales, la gastronomía, escenarios y bellezas del destino a través del lente de los amantes de este arte. Este se celebra en el primer cuatrimestre de cada año.
Contest for amateurs and professionals of photography with the aim of highlighting the tourist and social attractions, gastronomy, scenery and beauties of the destination through the lens of lovers of this art. This is celebrated in the first quarter of each year.
PUERTO PLATA GOLF CLASSIC:
Evento deportivo de Golf, que se ha convertido en un verdadero clásico de la zona norte, donde aficionados de toda la geografía nacional y diferentes partes del mundo cada verano se disputan la Gran Copa, disfrutando de los bellos escenarios que ofrece el Campo de Golf Playa Dorada.
RUTA DEL DESCUBRIMIENTO:
En honor a la fecha histórica de la llegada de Cristóbal Colón a territorio de la Isla de Santo Domingo, un 5 de diciembre de 1492, recordamos dicho viaje con una ruta ciclista MTB, con un recorrido de 65km, con el propósito de promocionar el distrito municipal de La Isabela, como uno de los atractivos turísticos más icónicos del destino Puerto Plata, por su importancia cultural e histórica.
ADN BACHATA WORLD FESTIVAL:
Un espectáculo que congrega a amantes de la bachata de todo el mundo agotando una agenda cargada de bachata: conciertos, competencia de bailarines internacionales y mucho más.

DISCOVERY ROUTE:

Es uno de los fuertes más antiguos en el hemisferio y ofrece una excelente vista al océano Atlántico. Sus murallas protegieron la colonia española de los piratas ingleses y guarda una interesante historia pues dentro de su fortificación guardó prisión el ilustre Padre de la Patria, Juan Pablo Duarte.

Localizada a 30 minutos de San Felipe de Puerto Plata, y 10 minutos del Aeropuerto internacional Gregorio Luperón, se encuentra el paraíso que es Sosúa, una pequeña localidad que se desarrolló a partir de unos 700 refugiados judíos que se establecieron en esta parte de la isla a raíz de la persecución de Hitler durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Con el pasar de los años, Sosúa ha adquirido un colorido cultural diferente, gracias a la incidencia de nativos de diferentes partes del mundo que han hecho de esta ciudad su hogar.
Igualmente, Sosúa cuenta con lugares muy interesantes como son: el Museo Judío, Casa de Arte Sosúa, el Castillo de Arte Mundo King. Es un destino de sol y playa por excelencia, sus hermosas playas son un emblema de nuestra costa norte entre ellas se destacan: Playa Alicia, Playa Sosúa en los Charamicos, así como el Batey, la comunidad en la que se encuentran la mayoría de hoteles y una amplia variedad de restaurantes de la zona.

Las más destacadas de estas festividades es la novena de San Felipe de Apóstol, que se celebra entre el 25 de abril y el 03 de mayo, en la Catedral San Felipe Apóstol de Puerto Plata, y en la Plaza Independencia.
