La Asociación de Hoteles, Restaurantes y Empresas Turís t ic as del Nor te Inc. (ASHONORTE), fundada en el año 2001, lleva a cabo significativas acciones frente a organismos públicos y privados centrando su empeño en recalcar la importancia que tiene el turismo sostenible, así como ser el representante del sector hotelero, turístico y gastronómico y de las ofertas complementarias que nos distinguen en ser un destino único.

Esta organización tiene el objetivo principal de preservar, mejorar y promover el desarrollo turístico sostenible de toda la provincia de Puerto Plata y sus municipios como “DESTINO TURÍSTICO”.

MISIÓN: Agrupar y representar a los principales empresarios del sector privado hotelero, restaurantes y empresas turísticas del Destino, para fomentar y fortalecer el desarrollo sostenible.

This organization has the main objective of preserving, improving and promoting the sustainable tourism development of the entire province of Puerto Plata and its municipalities as a “TOURIST DESTINATION”.

En honor a la fecha histórica de la llegada de Cristóbal Colón a territorio de la Isla de Santo Domingo, un 5 de diciembre de 1492, recordamos dicho viaje con una ruta ciclista MTB, con un recorrido de 65km, con el propósito de promocionar el distrito municipal de La Isabela, como uno de los atractivos turísticos más icónicos del destino Puerto Plata, por su importancia cultural e histórica.

In honor of the historical date of the arrival of Christopher Columbus to the territory of the Island of Santo Domingo, on December 5, 1492, we recorded this trip with an MTB cycling route, with a route of 65km, promoting the district municipal of La Isabela, as one of the most iconic tourist attractions of the Puer to Plata destination, due to its cultural and historical importance.

MUSEO FORTALEZA SAN FELIPE Es uno de los fuertes más antiguos en el hemisferio y ofrece una excelente vista al océano Atlántico. Sus murallas protegieron la colonia española de los piratas ingleses y guarda una interesante historia pues dentro de su fortificación guardó prisión el ilustre Padre de la Patria, Juan Pablo Duarte.
