At West Hallam, we are committed to creating a warm and compassionate environment. Our dedicated staff prioritize empowering residents to make choices about their own lives. We deeply value the importance of fostering relationships with loved ones, and we actively support residents in pursuing their hobbies and interests through a wide range of engaging activities.

We actively engage with the local community, participating in various events and activities in the surrounding villages. Our beautiful sensory garden at West Hallam is designed to stimulate the senses, encouraging residents to engage in meaningful activities.

We ensure a safe and secure environment that enables our skilled staff to deliver the highest quality care to our residents.

My neighbour has been in the Care Home since December 2023, I visit most days and can see she is being well looked after.

The room is always clean and warm, also bed linen changed everyday. They always try and encourage her to eat and drink, the food looks good.

The staff are very friendly and always happy to help with any questions and queries I have.

The lounge and dining areas are bright, and welcoming and can see activities going on if the residents want to join in.

We understand the significance of having a dedicated team of activity coordinators who are committed to providing and promoting a variety of activities and hobbies. Our goal is to ensure that all our residents have the opportunity to engage in personalized and meaningful activities.

Community Links

Fostering robust community connections is crucial for promoting the wellbeing of our residents. We take an active role in numerous local organizations and regularly organize community events, such as our popular 'Dementia Tea Dance' and Friday sessions at the local community cafe, which are open to both residents and the public.

“I cannot express how grateful we are, as a family, of the care Mum received. The staff were kind and compassionate and always went the extra mile.

Mum was looked after with dignity and the staff and residents became like a second family.

At the end of Mum's life, the love and empathy shown to us all was really appreciated. All I can say is thank you!”
