Our Bespoke Households

Bailey Brook

Bailey Brook is an exclusive household providing general residential care to just 10 residents. In a first for any Ashmere Home, generous bedrooms with ample space for couples boast their own individual private gardens. The exclusive lounge and dining room offer direct access to the main gardens as well as the library.

Coppice

We understand from our vast experience in supporting those living with Dementia how this client group in particular can feel unsure around large groups and often need their own space. Within Coppice we have created unique 12 bedroom household which, along with spacious bedrooms overlooking Heanor Memorial Park, offer direct access to our secure gardens as well as no less than five separate day spaces to ensure everyone can find comfort or just a destination to head for.

Ormonde

Ormonde boasts stunning views overlooking Heanor Memorial Park and our expansive gardens. With only 16 bedrooms, residents can enjoy exclusive access to multiple lounges, a dining room, and a cinema room, providing ample space to unwind and the option to socialise with other residents of the home.

Woodside

his 12-bed household strikes the ideal balance, offering personalised residential care in a setting that is more spacious than our Bailey Brook household yet more intimate than Ormonde. Residents here can enjoy the convenience of multiple lounge areas and a charming 'tuck shop' thoughtfully designed to provide them with special treats.

Devonshire Suites

Devonshire is a specialist household within Heanor Park Care Home which provides residential care for up to five older D/deaf adults with additional care needs. We are proud to promote a strong D/deaf community within our home. All staff on this floor are native BSL users.

Activities

We understand the significance of having a dedicated team of activity coordinators who are committed to providing and promoting a variety of activities and hobbies. Our goal is to ensure that all our residents have the opportunity to engage in personalised and meaningful activities.

Community Links

Fostering robust community connections is crucial for promoting the wellbeing of our residents. We take an active role in numerous local organizations and regularly organize community events, such as our popular 'Dementia Tea Dance' and Friday sessions at the local community cafe, which are open to both residents and the public.

“We decided a couple of weeks of respite care would be a good idea for my mum following a stay in the hospital. We could not have chosen a better place than Heanor Park. We felt that Mum was getting the best care there and was confident she was getting really well looked after. The actual home is beautiful in such lovely surroundings, all we could hear from her window was birdsong. She hugely enjoyed walking around the gardens which are very well kept. Her room was perfect, very clean with plenty of storage. The bathroom was modern and well-designed. The main thing that made her stay so special though was the staff. They were amazing. When we were visiting we were made to feel so welcome and were treated so kindly. Mum was always commenting on how lovely they all were. It was so reassuring to us to know she was so well cared for. I am happy to say that Mum is now back at home. Should she ever need care again it will be at Heanor Park without hesitation.”
