About The Firs Care Home
Our purpose-built residential home, constructed in 1997, features 40 fullyfurnished en-suite rooms that residents are encouraged to personalise with their cherished possessions. Within the home, communal spaces offer opportunities for socialisation, friendship-building, and participation in a variety of daily activities. The stunning garden lounge, with French doors offering views of the accessible gardens, creating a peaceful setting for residents who appreciate the outdoors and enjoy gardening.

Every member of staff including the domestic are happy to spend time with him and support me. The nursing staff are very good, and the manager is always willing to offer support to me.”
Activities
We understand the significance of having a dedicated team of activity coordinators who are committed to providing and promoting a variety of activities and hobbies. Our goal is to ensure that all our residents have the opportunity to engage in personalized and meaningful activities.
Community Links
Fostering robust community connections is crucial for promoting the wellbeing of our residents. We take an active role in numerous local organizations and regularly organize community events, such as our popular 'Dementia Tea Dance' and Friday sessions at the local community cafe, which are open to both residents and the public.
