Monochromatic sketches I 2018-2020
Medium: Ink, Pencil, Watercolors on paper.
Inked Echoes, a collection of monochromatic sketches that delve into the intricates of historical architecture.
Created during my time in architecture school, these artworks are a testament to the impact that historical buildings of various styles including Gothic, Islamic, and Renaissance have had on my artistic and architectural journey.
These pieces were meticulously crafted using a combination of ink, pencil, and subtle washes of watercolors. The choice to work in black and white emphasizes the structure, form, and details of the architecture, allowing the viewer to appreciate the essence of the design without the distraction of color.
Four of these pieces were framed and showcased at the University’s architecture exhibition, an honor requested by the Architecture department head. This recognition further highlights my commitment to preserving architectural beauty through art.
While staying true to the original forms, each artwork also reflects a personal interpretation, with an emphasis on the emotional and cultural resonance of the architecture, aiming to evoke a sense of nostalgia and admiration for the architectural wonders that have stood the test of time.

Born and raised in the heart of Bethlehem, my work is inspired by the vivid memories and emotions that come flooding back as I wander its narrow streets. This digital art series is a deeply personal reflection of my experiences growing up in this historic city.
In this series, I focus on significant landmarks that hold a special place in my heart—namely Star Street and the Nativity Church. These locations have long been etched in my memory, evoking feelings of warmth, nostalgia, and peace. Each piece employs muted color tones to evoke the calm serenity I feel while walking these familiar paths, bathed in the warm glow of streetlights and under the peaceful gaze of starry skies.
The textures and soft lighting invite viewers to share in the quiet beauty of Bethlehem’s streets, evoking a sense of timelessness and reflection. The muted palette, combined with intricate detailing, reflects the comforting warmth I associate with these memories—a feeling akin to sipping a warm coffee with an old friend while watching the city settle into dusk.
This collection will continue to grow as I plan to expand this series, capturing more scenes from the streets of Bethlehem, each piece adding another layer to the story of my hometown. Through these works, I hope to preserve and share the spirit of Bethlehem, where every street corner holds a cherished memory.
This series of digital artworks was commissioned by an international client during the recent crisis in Palestine, with the aim of raising global awareness as part of a campaign to promote resilience and solidarity with the Palestinian cause, highlighting the cultural and historical significance of Jerusalem, implying that there is more to our home country than piles of rubble as shown by the media.
The collection features iconic architectural features of landmarks in Jerusalem, including mosques, churches, and the historic streets of the Old City. Each piece was crafted using Procreate and printed on A-4sized MDF wood, blending traditional and digital artistry.
Additionally, due to their powerful visual and cultural impact, a second client—whom I previously collaborated with in creating an interior design while working for the ABB firm—requested that the series be printed and exhibited at his office in Bethlehem.

I had the privilege of designing the cover for Chronique de Terre Sainte, a book written by my esteemed French friend, Marian Maranzana, during his time living and working in the West Bank at the Alliance Française, where we first met.
Our collaboration began with initial conceptual sketches and culminated in a high-quality digital artwork that captured the essence of the book and aligned with the writer’s vision. The final cover design significantly enhances the book’s thematic depth and its appeal to the target audience. 2022 Digital cover
Words crossing my mind.
Dominated by shades of black, white, and gray, with splashes of red, these digital sketches may appear abstract at first glance, but are deeply layered with powerful symbolism, conveying a strong sense of intensity and emotion.
These pieces are meant to provoke thought and reflection, using bold visual symbols to convey a narrative of identity, and endurance. The aim is to invite viewers to interpret the work through their own lens and reflect a dialogue between struggle and survival. These two digital sketches stand as visual testaments to the powerful connection between personal identity and the broader political realities in Palestine.
