This year, we are excited to bring back SourceDirect seminars and introduce Sourcetique at SourceDirect. This is an innovative platform bringing together a diverse array of global suppliers where retailers can buy gifts, fashion, general merchandise, toy, beauty, and more with small minimums, making it easier for retailers to source globally without a significant investment. We’ll see you on the floor!

HOW TO SHOP SOURCEDIRECT
Plan Ahead
Use the ASD Market Week Show Planner to search and explore brands. You can filter by SourceDirect or brands with private label offerings.
Inquire About Manufacturing & Production
When purchasing directly from the manufacturer, it is important to have a clear understanding of the lead time for production and delivery. Ask about the minimum order quantity (MOQ) and see if you can get samples before placing a large order.
Products From Around The Globe
Meet with hundreds of global suppliers from China, Korea, Taiwan, Guam, Hong Kong, Mexico, Turkey, India, and more. Many offer private labeling and even small minimums.
Ask About Quality Control
Inquire about quality control measures. Ask if the manufacturer can provide documentation of quality assurance and if there are any warranties associated with the product.
Talk About Pricing & Payment Terms
When purchasing, consider unit price and how it varies with order quantity. Ask about available discounts for bulk orders and the accepted payment terms and methods. (i.e., down payment, letter of credit, wire transfer, etc.)
Shipping & Logistics
Understand how the products will be shipped, the different shipping methods offered, and agree on who is responsible for arranging transportation. Also, discuss who will bear the cost of customs, taxes, and import fees.
Foster Relationships
Building personal connections can foster trust and communication. Use simple and concise language to avoid misunderstandings. Establish a good working relationship by being friendly and respectful of cultural differences and customs.
