“It’s a meeting I really enjoy. The racecourse has been lucky for me and I think when you have the right horse, it’s a great place to be competitive.”

WELCOME TO ROYAL ASCOT 2025
We are once again looking forward to welcoming you to the Royal Meeting in June.
There will be £10 million in prize money available this year, with the Prince of Wales’s Stakes and Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes worth £1 million each and no race run for less than £110,000.
Changes to the race programme for 2025 see the removal of early closing entry conditions for the four non-juvenile Group 2 races – the Hardwicke Stakes, the Ribblesdale Stakes, the King Edward VII Stakes and the Duke of Cambridge Stakes. We hope this will make it easier for connections to make plans at a later stage, especially with young, developing three-year-olds in the King Edward VII Stakes and Ribblesdale Stakes.
Last year we witnessed some brilliant performances on the track, with five of the top 16 (including ties) from the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings winning at the Royal Meeting. They were headlined by Gold Cup hero Kyprios along with champion miler Charyn in the Queen Anne Stakes as well as Auguste Rodin, Rosallion and Calandagan. It was fantastic in particular to see Calandagan win for
Francis-Henri Graffard and France, a final Royal Ascot winner for His Highness The Aga Khan IV who died in February.
There was also international success for Asfoora, trained by Henry Dwyer from Ballarat, Australia, in the King Charles III Stakes. She went on to run at Goodwood and York, highlighting the summer-long opportunities after Royal Ascot for sprinters that travel across to Europe.
We look forward to welcoming you and many more of the world’s best horses back to Royal Ascot this summer.
Yours sincerely,
Nick Smith LVO Director of Racing & Public Affairs
