Jealousy You’re able to talk my talk. You wish to walk my walk. Well, with no hesitation—here’s my shoes. But don’t get apprehensive when it’s time to pay my dues. For with success there also comes pain. Yet you have no clue of all the agony, stress, and heartbreak I’ve lived through. You want to drive my car, wear my jewels, covet my wife. Somehow you think these things will better your life. Silly, silly man—what I have won’t make you whole. For the answer to that lies in your very soul. My money, my house, my wife, my car— none of these things will remove that scar. For whatever you gain, happiness is still far. Collecting material things is nice, yet a waste of time because happiness, my brother, is just a state of mind. So open your eyes and set yourself free— Free from the bonds of sheer jealousy.
