THE SIREN’S SECRET

N o t e s f r o m a D r e a m e r

Last month was a whirlwind, but travel with Ashita, our boys, and our families gave me space to reflect and recharge Being surrounded by loved ones and immersed in new places sparked fresh creative energy

Spring one of my favorite seasons reminds me of the quiet beauty and growth always unfolding beneath the surface Here are a few things beginning to be alchemized into something new, shaped by inspiration and the changing season

BECOMING THROUGH BEAUTY

ContemplationsoftheMonth

Connection: The Art of Resonance

Some moments pass unnoticed.

Others fleeting, quiet, inexplicably charged change everything I’ve come to believe that the purpose of creation is connection

Not just to others, but to the hidden parts of ourselves Jewelry becomes a secret language, a way to say what words cannot In solitude, I shape each piece But its meaning is only complete when it finds its home when it begins its dialogue with the world

And in that exchange, something rare happens: mystery becomes memory, and beauty becomes a bond.

PADPRASCHA

TRAPEZOID AND MARQUIS DIAMONDS RING

PADPARADSCHAA DANCE BETWEEN DAWN AND DUSK

There are colors that can’t quite be named only felt. Padparadscha is one of them. Somewhere between pink and orange, it captures the hue of a lotus flower at dusk or the final breath of a sunset. Its name comes from the ancient Sinhalese word for lotus, and it remains one of the rarest sapphires in the world

Naturally found in Sri Lanka, Madagascar, and parts of East Africa, Padparadscha is as elusive as it is enchanting Its tones shift in the light, revealing a subtle tension soft, fiery, undefinable

To Arun, this isn’t just a gemstone. It’s a metaphor for the creative journey. “Every time I hold one, I think how can something this contradictory feel so complete?” It’s that very contradiction between restraint and abandon, delicacy and intensity that inspires him most

Padparadscha represents transformation It’s a reminder that beauty often lies in the liminal in the spaces between what we think we know

For those drawn to nuance, to emotion, to mystery, this sapphire is not simply rare. It’s a talisman of becoming.

TheModernRebellion

Padparascha In Bloom

This ring is a study in modern elegance and structural ingenuity. Trapezoid and modified marquise diamonds are precisely arranged to create a dynamic tension geometric, unexpected, and full of movement Their bold composition challenges the traditional halo, becoming part of the story

At the center rests a rare Padparascha sapphire, suspended between pink and orange, inspired by the lotus flower from which it takes its name. Elusive and complex, it changes with the light much like the emotions it evokes

Part of our Modern Classics series, this piece is a quiet rebellion an ode to timeless craftsmanship with a distinctly contemporary spirit

PERIDOT

PERIDOT: THE GEM OF SUN AND RENEWAL

Peridot is one of the few gemstones formed deep within the Earth’s mantle and brought to the surface by volcanic activity.

A member of the olivine family, it is found in regions like Myanmar, Pakistan, and the United States particularly in Arizona’s San Carlos Reservation. Its bright green color is natural and constant, a signature hue that speaks to renewal, energy, and balance Peridot has also been discovered in meteorites, linking it to something even more ancient and celestial

Arun is drawn to peridot not for its rarity, but for its clarity It’s a gemstone that holds a steady presence grounded yet full of movement He uses it to create pieces that don’t overpower, but provoke quiet reflection. In its color and origin, there is a story of transformation of fire becoming form.

Working with peridot is a study in restraint and resonance It’s about honoring a material that speaks for itself Each design becomes an exploration of how something so elemental can feel both timeless and immediate

For Arunashi, peridot is not a flourish it’s a foundation A reminder that growth doesn’t need to shout to be felt

PERIDOT

MOTHER OF PEARL, TSAVORITE, DIAMONDS, TURQUOISE

THECELADONMUSE

This pendant draws from the architecture of music Each curve follows the motion of a musical phrase, translated into form with precision and intent. At its center, a peridot rests within a frame of mother-of-pearl, positioned not as an accent, but as a note within a larger composition On the reverse, a single turquoise is set a detail not meant for display, but discovery. Green tsavorite outlines the pendant’s edges, echoing the sweep and tempo of sheet music

The pendant’s form is neither symmetrical nor static It moves, unfolds, and changes as the angle shifts just like a melody moving through time. Inspired not by sound, but by the structure that gives music shape, this piece explores how form alone can express rhythm, pattern, and memory It’s an object composed, rather than designed

CLAMPEARLS

MOONSTONE, DIAMONDS

CLAM PEARLTHE SIRENS SECRET

The Clam Pearl is found in the warm, shallow waters of the South Pacific, the Caribbean, and occasionally in the waters off the Gulf of California. Formed naturally within the bodies of giant clams, these pearls are rare. Unlike cultured pearls, they are created without human interference emerging only when a mollusk responds to an intruder by layering it in nacre over time

Arun is drawn to the Clam Pearl for what it represents Its formation is not planned or controlled; it is a reaction, a quiet act of resilience. The pearl’s irregular shape and muted luster speak to a raw, honest kind of beauty one shaped by nature alone. In a world that favors precision, this gem is a quiet refusal.

Using Clam Pearls in his work allows Arun to highlight the unpolished and unplanned Each piece becomes a small rebellion against uniformity, a choice to celebrate what is often overlooked There is no need to alter the form or perfect the surface the pearl is already complete

To wear a Clam Pearl is to carry a part of the ocean’s story. It is a reminder that creation can come from pressure, and that beauty often arises when we least expect it.

BLUSHOFTHEOCEAN

This earrings draw inspiration from the structure of nature and the rhythm of movement. Blue moonstone cabochons are placed like dew on titanium petals, arranged with precision to reflect light at varying angles. The composition is both controlled and organic each element contributing to the overall architecture

Clam and conch pearls are nested at the center, grounding the form with contrast and weight Arun plays with layering and orientation, allowing light to move through the piece like music across a page

The design echoes classical painting gestural, composed, intentional It is not about symmetry, but about balance The result is a form that feels in motion even at rest where each material, chosen for its character, builds toward quiet complexity.
