Balance: The Art of Juggling
I have many muses, but people people are always the spark that ignites my creative alchemy That's why I think I’ll always be working on finding the right balance between the social interaction I crave and the solitude I need
A simple fact of being a designer is that I need time alone to be truly creative An artist needs a certain level of isolation to sketch, and play, and push boundaries But, really, I’m a people person at heart. And as a founder, father, husband, and friend, I need community to thrive it’s why I love meeting clients at trunk shows and being surrounded by colleagues at events like the Tuscon Gem Show.
Maybe I’ll never find a true balance between those two impulses but I know I’ll forever be inspired by their push and pull

PARAIBA
GOLD AND DIAMOND BRACELET
A GEM BORN OF HEAT AND HEART
creating an intensity reminiscent of the Brazilian variety but with a distinct mystique The mining terrain is rugged and arid, demanding patience and skill to extract these rare treasures As mining continues, the supply of high-quality stones dwindles, adding to their allure and making each gemstone a testament to nature's perseverance.
For Arun, Paraiba tourmaline from Mozambique is more than a gemstone it is a muse Arun is captivated not only by its neon glow but by its story of resilience To him, this gemstone embodies the romance of adventure and the beauty of overcoming challenges. Each Paraiba tourmaline he uses is a declaration of boldness, a reflection of the brand's spirit that celebrates the wild and the extraordinary
This gemstone’s appeal lies in its unique neon bluegreen colors, which seem to glow from within Despite similar deposits in other regions, Mozambique's Paraiba remains distinct for its vibrant, luminous quality.
Beyond its visual beauty, Paraiba tourmaline symbolizes emotional healing and spiritual growth It is a gemstone for dreamers and adventurers, those unafraid to chase the rare and the unattainable, much like the journey of the gemstone itself from the rugged earth to a piece of Arunashi jewelry.
The Romance of a Paraiba

MINT TOURMALINE: A
BREATH OF FRESH AIR
Mint green tourmaline is primarily sourced from Brazil’s Minas Gerais and Espiritos Santos regions, as well as Madagascar and parts of Africa Its green hue ranges from delicate pastel to vibrant mint shades, achieved through trace elements like iron and copper within its complex silicate structure. Unlike more intense green gemstones like emeralds or peridots, mint green tourmaline offers a softer and more subtle color.
Arun uses mint green tourmaline for its natural connection to renewal and growth He is drawn to its understated color, which aligns with his philosophy that beauty often lies in quiet and subtle details For Arun, mint green tourmaline is not just a decorative element but a storytelling tool, capturing the essence of tranquility and offering wearers a reminder of balance and calm in everyday life.
Geologically, mint green tourmaline is found in pegmatite formations coarse-grained igneous rocks formed under high temperatures and pressures These conditions are ideal for tourmaline crystal growth, contributing to the gemstone's clarity and pleochroism (showing different shades of green depending on the angle of light) The gemstone's rarity is due to the specific geological conditions needed for its formation and the limited availability of high-quality specimens
MINT TOURMALINE
WHITE GOLD RING, SINGLE-CUT DIAMONDS
The Mint Tourmaline ring is inspired by the idea of capturing stillness and balance in design. Arun drew from natural forms and the quiet strength of simplicity, focusing on clean lines and purposeful shapes The eye-shaped silhouette is not just a visual choice but a deliberate nod to perspective and clarity, encouraging a design that feels both timeless and intentional
The ring’s form pays homage to the Art Deco era, where geometry and fluidity meet. Arun's design process emphasizes the use of structure to tell a story, with each curve and edge crafted to create harmony The ring's design aims to blend classic elements with a modern sensibility, achieving a piece that transcends trends and remains a lasting expression of thoughtful design
Paraiba
GEOMETRIC DIAMONDS RING
PARAIBA - BRAZIL: A
GEM OF FIRE AND WATER
Paraiba tourmaline, discovered in Brazil in 1989, is known for its vivid blue-green hues, a result of copper and manganese within its structure. Mined in the rugged hills of Paraiba, this gemstone is not only rare but also embodies the earth’s untamed spirit The mining process is challenging, with remote and unforgiving terrain yielding only small amounts of these captivating stones As deposits dwindle, Paraiba tourmaline's rarity adds to its allure, making it a prized choice for fine jewelry.
Arun finds inspiration in the contrast between Paraiba’s raw origins and its luminous, almost ethereal appearance. He views this gemstone as a story of discovery, where nature’s harsh landscapes produce something profoundly beautiful When designing with Paraiba, Arun aims to evoke a sense of adventure and exploration, transforming the gemstone into a reminder of the unknown and the extraordinary
The vibrant colors of Paraiba tourmaline serve as more than just a visual statement. Arun uses this gemstone to provoke curiosity and to invite a deeper connection with the jewelry. His designs do not simply highlight the gemstone's beauty but challenge perceptions, offering a narrative where each piece serves as a gateway to new experiences
BRAZILIAN PARAIBA SET IN GEOMETRIC MARQUISE AND BAGUETTE DIAMONDS
PORTALTOPARADISE
The design of this ring is a study in balance and movement, drawing inspiration from nature and history The marquise and baguetteshaped diamonds frame the centerpiece with precision, creating a geometric contrast that enhances the ring's overall composition. The diamonds' placement is deliberate, guiding the eye and introducing a sense of flow to the design. The ring’s form mirrors the natural world, capturing the dynamic energy of swaying treetops and the quiet strength of ancient geological forces
Arun's approach to this design reflects his fascination with storytelling through form and structure The piece is not just a collection of materials but a narrative brought to life through thoughtful design choices The contrast of geometric shapes with natural tones introduces an element of surprise, blending the expected with the unknown. This design philosophy is rooted in exploring how beauty can emerge from contrast and how structure can evoke a sense of adventure.
