Yurdunu sevmeliymiş insan, öyle diyor hep babam.

Benim yurdum ikiye bölünmüş ortasından, hangi yarısını sevmeli insan?

WhyThis brief aims to speak to the Turkish Cypriot identity crisis, the legacy of British colonialism, and the contemporary dynamics of gentrification and exclusion in spaces like Granary Square. The Invisible Boundaries project taps into both the history and current dynamics of Granary Square. By focusing on the feeling of being restricted or divided by something unseen, I aim to highlight the emotional and psychological effects of division, which applies to everything from geopolitical borders to social divisions in everyday life. Through this intervention, participants experience firsthand how invisible borders shape their movement and perception, I aim to link the local dynamics of Granary Square to the global and historical forces that continue to divide communities and individuals.
