USING THESE STORIES TO TEACH NARRATIVE WRITING

Have students watch the videos and identify these five narrative elements in each story.

Understanding the setting and introducing main elements of the story Building tension and interest through connected events
The turning point or moment of highest interest in the story Events following the climax that lead to the story's resolution The conclusion that ties together all story elements
CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES
Encourage group discussions about how each storyteller structures their narrative.
Ask students to analyse how local history and personal memories are woven into compelling narratives.
