Your guide to Park Radio….the Waveney Valley’s 1st choice. Welcome to the sixth edition of “On the Air” and my first time writing in it, as a lot of new and exciting things have changed since the last edition. We are all settled back into our studios and we’re really pleased to have welcomed so many of you through our doors once again. Since our last edition we have had a change of management structure with Chris, the face of Park Radio for the last 5 years, a great inspiration to the whole team, moving to sunnier climbs, literally, and the appointment of a new board and team to take Park to new dizzier heights than ever before… The new board has hit the ground running, with a new station manager at the helm - Jono Woodward who leads the board of directors; they are - Katie Brame, Linda Bryant, Paul Shaw and me James Grint. This is an exciting time for us with new and fresh ideas and plans for the future of Park Radio being pursued. Read more about the Board inside. As always we are looking for more volunteers to help deliver our specialist music programmes, so if you have a few spare hours in a week/month and have a penchant for a particular music genre, take a look to see how you can become involved. We are now able to extend our outside broadcasts and engage with our community. Over the coming months we are looking to visit villages, community projects/groups and businesses. Dive inside for more details. Our updated schedule on the centre pages gives you the opportunity to plan your listening time and to hear some of your favourite music. There are also daily/weekly competitions for you to get involved in, including our new Free Food Friday!! Find out who our winners are and what they won. Why not have a go? You could be a winner too. Each year the Park Radio team have chosen charities to support, in this edition you will see there are four charities and we will be holding events to raise money for these.
