Message from Chris

After 12 years at the helm I did my final programme on Friday 1st April (make up your own jokes!) which was a complete joy and somewhat of an emotional day.

Broadcasting a live programme, this time from the Eye Market Place, was the icing on the cake, chatting to guests and meeting locals for the three hours was a fantastic and very moving way to exit Park Radio – getting out and about is what local radio is all about!

I've worked with and met some truly inspirational people who achieve so much for our communities and hope that I've contributed at least in a small way.

Park Radio has been my life and I will miss it terribly but I know the new team will continue the brilliant work.

Thanks for all your support, fun and friendship over the many years.
