Despite ongoing funding cuts we are striving to continue to bring you Ooh! Thank you, I hope you have fun at a show near you. Sian Kerry Co-director, Arts Alive A car full of fun: Why not share an outing with friends? The ideal way to share travel costs, reduce carbon emissions and enjoy some company; why not see if anyone wants to come along with you to an event? Can you help us to reach the rural corners? Can you distribute a few brochures for us? With the high cost of postage and fuel we struggle to distribute to all the rural corners of our counties, so if you can spread a few in your area please email mary@artsalive.co.uk and we will be in touch.

Clod Ensemble

The Red Chair www.clodensemble.com A surreal story of a man who could not stop eating, the wife doomed to cook his meals and their ‘inveesible’ daughter. Acclaimed Scottish performer Sarah Cameron steers us through a landscape of twisted reason, extreme compulsion and eye-watering complacency; where domestic drudgery happens on an operatic scale and a father’s dereliction of duty reaches epic proportions. Told in a rich and saucy Scots dialect with physical verve, a musical score that rolls in like the mist over the hills and a wee dram of whisky to oil the way, The Red Chair lies somewhere between a Grimms’ Tale, an absurdist ghost story and a parent’s guide on how not to bring up children. Produced in association with Fuel Theatre. Age 14+. Look at our web site for a great trailer for this provocative and extraordinary show. Avanti Artizani

Six Impossible Things www.artizani.net Two experienced performers of great skill and charm present the show in a relaxed cabaret style, featuring a revolving stage, conjuring, acrobatics, live music, sound effects, animatronics, sophisticated lighting – and a most memorable and spectacular finale. It’s the story of The Three Grimshaws, a variety act at the top of their game, just after a disastrous show in Grimsby. Whatever happened to Maureen Grimshaw and whichever version you choose to believe, the act was never the same… That’s the thing about love triangles: they rarely end well for all concerned – but the show must go on! Either phone the local promoter directly, or

Advance booking is recommended as many shows sell out – please don’t be

you to ring to check times, tickets prices and availability.

Book online using PayPal – you can use this even if you don’t have a PayPal account. Fees remain at £1 per ticket to a maximum of £5. Why not log on and book all your tickets in one go? disappointed.

Venue access information: facilities vary; we advise you to check with individual venues. If you have specific access requirements, please ring the local promoter who will be happy to assist. Our website has access information for all our venues.

Ticket prices vary – the minimum adult price is £8. However ALL events are subsidised and we do our best to keep prices affordable whilst not compromising on quality or range. As our prices are so reasonable, most venues do not offer concessionary rates for pensioners. Ticket prices are generally indicated thus: £8 (adult) /£5 (child) /£26 (family).
