ABOUT

Laura Fridman is a French - Israeli artist based in Lisbon. Upon graduating with a degree in Economics from Yale University, she decided to pursue a career in dance and joined the Israel Ballet in 2017.

Since 2022, Fridman has dedicated her time entirely to her painting practice, which iscentered around the female figure and portraying the body as a vessel for movement and self expression.

Curved lines, elongated necks and distorted bodies persistently punctuate her canvases, reflecting her experience in the world of dance and providing a portal into her inner world.

By associating beauty with tension, Fridman blurs the line between truth and fiction and creates visual poetry that dances across the canvas and into our imagination. Fridman, has exhibited in Israel and interna tionally, has had her works published in seve ral magazines and regularly participates in contemporary art fairs, as well as charity auctions.
