ศิลปคืออะไร? ศาสตราจารย์ศิลป์ พีระศรี : เขียน

เมื่อไม่กี่วันมานี้เพื่อนของข้าพเจ้าคนหนึ่งถามข้าพเจ้าว่า ศิลปคืออะไร ทำ�ขึ้นด้วยความมุ่งหมายอย่างไร และในประการสำ�คัญก็คือ ทำ�ไมเราจึงต้องจัดการแสดงศิลปกรรมขึ้น ครั้งแรกข้าพเจ้าคิดว่าเพื่อนของข้าพเจ้าคงพูดเล่นตลก ข้าพเจ้าหัวเราะ แต่เขากลับขอร้องอย่าง เป็นงานเป็นการให้ข้าพเจ้าตอบคำ�ถามของเขา เพราะเขารับว่าไม่อาจเข้าใจกิจการอันยุ่งเหยิงที่เราทำ�ไปเกี่ยวกับศิลปเลย ดังนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงจำ� ต้องอธิบายให้เขาฟังสั้นๆ เท่าที่ปัญญาความสามารถของข้าพเจ้าจะทำ�ได้

ข้าพเจ้าพูดว่า ศิลปคืออะไรนั้น ไม่ใช่ของง่ายที่จะอธิบาย เพราะเป็นการแสดงให้รู้ถึงอำ�นาจเร้นลับชนิดหนึ่งซึ่งบังคับให้มนุษย์ทำ�ศิลป ขึน้ เช่นเดียวกับทีเ่ รารูส้ กึ ในความลึกลับอย่างยิง่ ของจักรวาลหรือสากลจักรวาล และผลอันเกิดจากการหมุนเวียนของมัน แต่ขอให้เราพยายาม ทีจ่ ะแสดงความลึกซึง้ อย่างยิง่ ออกมาเป็นถ้อยคำ�ธรรมดาโดยย่อ ท่านจะเห็นได้วา่ ในธรรมชาติชา่ งประสานกลมกลืนกัน และเป็นความงามอย่าง หาทีเ่ ปรียบมิได้ ก็ทำ�ไมสิง่ ทีเ่ ป็นความมหัศจรรย์ของธรรมชาติทงั้ หลายทีใ่ ห้ความสุขใจแก่เราอย่างมากนัน้ จึงงดงามและบริบรู ณ์ นีแ่ หละคือสิง่ ที่เรียกว่าความลึกลับอันหาที่สุดมิได้ แต่เราไม่ได้พิจารณาในด้านปรัชญา เราเป็นศิลปินเรามองจักรวาลที่งดงามนี้ในวิถีทางสุนทรียะจะเห็นว่า ทุกสิง่ ทีอ่ิ ยูใ่ นกฎของธรรมชาติ ล้วนมีระเบียบ ความเหมาะสมกลมกลืน และความงามอยูท่ งั้ สิน้ ทีนมี้ นุษย์เป็นเพียงจุลนิ ทรียห์ นึง่ ของจักรวาล จึงจำ�เป็นอยู่เองที่ธรรมชาติของมนุษย์ จะต้องขึ้นอยู่กับกฎเกณฑ์อันเร้นลับ และบริบูรณ์ของจักรวาล

โดยเหตุผลนี้จะเห็นได้ว่า ตั้งแต่ชีวิตดึกดำ�บรรพ์มนุษย์ รู้สึกจำ�เป็นที่ต้องตกแต่งร้่างกายและสิ่งแวดล้อมของเราให้สวยงาม ต่อมา วิวฒ ั นาการเจริญขึน้ มนุษย์ใช้ศลิ ปไปในทางไสยศาสตร์ เป็นชัน้ ต้น และชัน้ ต่อมาก็เพือ่ ความมุง่ หมายในทางศาสนาและปรัชญา ในทีส่ ดุ ถึงสมัย ที่อารยธรรมเจริญสูงขึ้นอีก มนุษย์ใช้ศิลปเพื่อความสุขทางสุนทรียะบริสุทธิ์ และผลที่ได้รับจากความสุขทางสุนทรียะนี้แหละที่ทำ�ให้มนุษย์เป็น มนุษย์โดยสมบูรณ์ขึ้น โดยอาศัยศิลป มนุษย์จะเขยิบขึ้นสูงถึงขั้นเทียมเทพเจ้า และโดยวิธีนี้มนุษย์จะพ้นจากความป่าเถื่อน และสัญชาติญาณ ของสัตว์โลกธรรมดา

ศิลปเท่านั้น (ซึ่งหมายถึงวรรณคดี ดนตรี จิตรกรรม ประติมากรรมและสถาปัตยกรรม) ที่ทำ�ให้มวลมนุษย์เป็นพี่น้องกัน ศิลปเท่านั้น ที่ไม่มีขอบเขตของเชื้อชาติ ไม่มีการแก่งแย่งแข่งขันในผลประโยชน์ ศิลปเป็นสื่อสำ�คัญที่จะยกระดับจิตใจของเราให้อยู่ในอาณาจักรที่สูงสุด และให้ความหวังในอนาคตอันเป็นอุดมคติแก่เรา

ข้าพเจ้าบอกแก่เพือ่ นของข้าพเจ้าว่า ทีจ่ ริงเกือบทุกสิง่ ทีส่ ร้างขึน้ โดยมนุษย์เป็นศิลปเมืองของเรา บ้านของเรา เครือ่ งแต่ง บ้าน รถยนต์ เครื่องแต่งกาย แม้กระทั่งปากกาหมึกซึมของเรา แต่ละสิ่งล้วนเป็นผลอันไดมาจากศิลปทั้งสิ้น ถ้าหากท่านเชื่อในความจริงข้อนี้ จะเข้าใจถึง เหตุผลที่ว่า ทำ�ไมในอารยชนจึงมีความกระตือรือร้นในศิลป และทำ�ไมเขาจึงจัดการแสดงศิลปกรรมขึ้นบ่อยๆ ความจริงงานแสดงทางพุทธิ ปัญญาเหล่านี้ล้วนให้การศึกษาแก่จิตใจและขัดเกลาวิญญานของเราให้ประณีตงดงาม

ความจริงงานศิลปที่อยู่ในการแสดงย่อมไม่เป็นงานชั้นเยี่ยม หรือถูกรสนิยมของเราไปหมดทุกชิ้น แต่ในงานศิลป 100 ชิ้น ท่าน อาจได้พบงานสักชิ้นหนึ่งซึ่งก่อให้ท่านเกิดอารมณ์ซาบซ่าน สะเทือนใจ ให้ความสุข และเป็นบ่อเกิดให้คิดให้ทำ�ในสิ่งที่ดีงาม นี่แหละคือ ความ สำ�เร็จในเจตนาขั้นสุดท้ายของการแสดงศิลปกรรม

หอศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรได้รเิ ริม่ โครงการเชิดชูเกียรติศลิ ปินยอดเยีย่ มแห่งประเทศไทย รางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ศลิ ป์ พีระศรีขนึ้ เพือ่ ส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนให้เกิดการค้นคว้าด้านการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปกรรมของศิลปิน โดยเชิญชวนให้ศลิ ปินนำ�เสนอโครงการสร้างสรรค์เพือ่ ให้คณะกรรมการผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิพิจารณาคัดเลือกผู้สมควรได้รับทุนสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรม ศิลป์ พีระศรี จำ�นวน 100,000 บาท ซึ่งในครั้งที่ 13 นี้ได้คัดเลือกผู้ได้รับทุนจำ�นวน 7 ทุน ซึ่งโครงการที่ได้รับคัดเลือกนั้นล้วนเป็นโครงการที่โดดเด่น มีคุณภาพ มีรูปแบบการสร้างสรรค์ที่น่า สนใจ และทำ�ให้เกิดองค์ความรู้ใหม่ในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปกรรม รางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรมศิลป์ พีระศรี นี้ เป็นเสมือนกำ�ลังใจอัน สำ�คัญต่อการทำ�งานของศิลปินเพื่อให้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานที่ดีสู่สาธารณะ และเป็นการสนับสนุนให้ศิลปินมุ่งทำ�งานสร้างสรรค์อย่างต่อเนื่อง เพื่อ เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการพัฒนาวงการศิลปะร่วมสมัยในประเทศไทย

Silp Bhirasri’s Creativity Grants is the project initiated by the Art Centre Silpakorn University to encourage artists’ research and creativity. Artists are invited to submit project proposals for 100,000 Baht grant, which will be selected by honorable judges. Seven creativity projects have been selected for the 13th Silpa Bhirasri’s Creativity Grants. All of these selected works distinctly show new body knowledge and enhance for Thai contemporary art circle. This grant is an important support for the artists to develop their works for public and also support them to continue creating art, which benefits Thai contemporary art cycle.

The Art Centre Silpakorn University would like to express gratitude to honorable judges and working committees, who put effort in making these valuable art works known to wide public and become source of inspiration to other artists and students.

คำ�สั่งหอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ที่ 10/2555 เรื่อง แต่งตั้งคณะกรรมการดำ�เนินงาน โครงการเชิดชูเกียรติศิลปินยอดเยี่ยมแห่งประเทศไทย รางวัลศิลป์ พีระศรี ครั้งที่ 13 ประจำ�ปี พ.ศ. 2556 ---------- ด้วยหอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ได้รับอนุมัติให้จัดทำ�โครงการเชิดชูเกียรติศิลปิน ยอดเยี่ยมแห่งประเทศไทย รางวัล ศิลป์ พีระศรี ครั้งที่ 13 ประจำ�ปี พ.ศ. 2556 เพื่อเป็นการส่งเสริมศิลปินที่สร้างงานศิลปกรรม พัฒนางานสร้างสรรค์ศิลปวัฒนธรรม ของชาติ และมีผลงานศิลปกรรมที่มีคุณค่าจนเป็นที่ยอมรับทั้งในระดับชาติ และหรือระดับนานาชาติ โดยให้ศิลปินสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน ในระยะเวลาหนึ่ง และรวบรวมผลงานจัดแสดงเพื่อประกาศเกียรติคุณแก่สาธารณชนต่อไป ฉะนั้น เพื่อให้การดำ�เนินงานบรรลุตาม วัตถุประสงค์ของโครงการ จึงแต่งตั้งคณะกรรมการดำ�เนินงานในโครงการฯ โดยมีรายนามดังต่อไปนี้

ทั้งนี้ให้คณะกรรมการดำ�เนินการ มีหน้าที่ดังนี้

1. จัดทำ�นิทรรศการโครงการเชิดชูเกียรติศิลปินยอดเยี่ยมแห่งประเทศไทย รางวัลศิลป์ พีระศรี ครั้งที่ 13 ประจำ�ปี พ.ศ. 2556 และกิจกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับนิทรรศการ

2. จัดทำ�สูจิบัตร และสิ่งพิมพ์ประกอบนิทรรศการ

3. จัดทำ�ระบบข้อมูลและงานวิชาการในระบบคอมพิวเตอร์สารสนเทศ ทั้งการเผยแพร่ ประชาสัมพันธ์ และการขยาย บทบาทงานศิลปกรรมไทยสู่นานาชาติ

4. มีอำ�นาจแต่งตั้งคณะอนุกรรมการในการดำ�เนินงานของส่วนต่างๆตามที่เห็นสมควร สั่ง ณ วันที่ 11 ตุลาคม พ.ศ. 2555 (อาจารย์อำ�มฤทธิ์ ชูสุวรรณ) ผู้อำ�นวยการหอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร

ประกาศมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร เรื่อง ทุนสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรม ศิลป์ พีระศรี ประจำ�ปี 2556 โครงการเชิดชูเกียรติศิลปินยอดเยี่ยมแห่งประเทศไทย รางวัลศิลป์ พีระศรี ครั้งที่ 13 ของหอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร --------------------------------------- ตามที่หอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ได้จัดทำ�โครงการเชิดชูเกียรติศิลปินยอดเยี่ยมแห่งประเทศไทย รางวัลศิลป์ พีระศรี ขึ้น เพื่อ เป็นการส่งเสริมศิลปินที่สร้างงานศิลปกรรม เพื่อพัฒนางานสร้างสรรค์ศิลปวัฒนธรรมของชาติ และมีผลงานศิลปกรรมที่มีคุณค่าจนเป็นที่ ยอมรับทั้งในระดับชาติและระดับนานาชาติ โดยพิจารณาคัดเลือกมอบรางวัล ทุนสร้างสรรค์ เพื่อใช้ในการสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปกรรมแก่ศิลปิน โดย ให้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานในระยะเวลาหนึ่ง จากนั้น จะได้รวบรวมผลงานขึ้นจัดการแสดงผลงานศิลปกรรมเพื่อประกาศเกียรติคุณต่อสาธารณชนต่อไป โดยหอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรได้กำ�หนดระเบียบการไว้ดังต่อไปนี้ คือ 1. จุดมุ่งหมายของโครงการ

เพื่อส่งเสริมการสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรมอันเป็นมรดกทางด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรม ของชาติให้มีการพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่องเพื่อเผยแพร่ ผลงาน ศิลปกรรมของศิลปินไทยให้เผยแพร่ออกสู่สาธารณชน เสริมสร้างคุณค่าทางสุนทรีย์ พัฒนาความคิดและคุณธรรมของสังคมไทย อันเป็นการ เสริมสร้างความรู้ความเข้าใจในศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทย ทั้งในประเทศ และต่างประเทศเพื่อสนับสนุนศิลปินไทย ให้มีความเชื่อมั่นและมีกำ�ลังใจในการ สร้างสรรค์ อันเป็นประโยชน์ต่อวงการศึกษาและวงวิชาการศิลปะสมัยใหม่ของไทยอันเป็นการพัฒนาคุณภาพไปสู่ระดับสากลเพื่อการวิเคราะห์ และการเก็บข้อมูลหลักฐานการสร้างสรรค์ที่จะเป็นประโยชน์ทางด้าน การศึกษา และวงวิชาการศิลปะสมัยใหม่ในประเทศไทย 2. คุณสมบัติของศิลปินที่มีสิทธิสมัครรับรางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรม

เป็นศิลปินสัญชาติไทยที่มีอายุ 35 ปีขึ้นไป เป็นผู้ที่ทำ�งานสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปกรรมอย่างต่อเนื่อง และมีการจัดการแสดงผลงานเผย แพร่ต่อสาธารณชนอย่างสม่ำ�เสมอ มีการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปกรรม หมายถึง การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานประเภทจิตรกรรม ประติมากรรม ภาพพิมพ์ สื่อประสม ศิลปะเครื่องปั้นดินเผา ศิลปะสิ่งทอ และศิลปะเครื่องประดับ (Jewellery) 3. การสมัคร

ศิลปินเป็นผู้สมัครด้วยตนเอง โดยกรอกใบสมัครแล้วส่งใบสมัครด้วยตนเอง ที่หอศิลป์มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วังท่าพระ กรุงเทพมหานคร หรือสมัครทางไปรษณีย์ ส่งที่คุณมินตา วงษ์โสภา หอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วังท่าพระ ถนนหน้าพระลาน กรุงเทพฯ 10200 โดยระบุที่หน้าซองด้วยข้อความว่า (เสนอขอทุนรางวัลศิลป์ พีระศรี ประจำ�ปี 2556) และสามารถสอบถามข้อมูลได้ที่โทรศัพท์ หมายเลข 02–221–3841 หรือ 02–623-6115 ต่อ 11425,11418,11420 เงื่อนไขประกอบการสมัคร

7. รางวัล

7.1 รางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรม ศิลป์ พีระศรี ประจำ�ปี 2556 มีจำ�นวน 7 รางวัล เป็นรางวัลเงินทุนสร้างสรรค์ ทุนละ 100,000 บาท คณะกรรมการอาจตัดสินลดหรือเพิ่มรางวัลก็ได้หากพิจารณาเห็นว่ายังไม่มีผู้ใดมีคุณสมบัติที่เหมาะสมที่จะได้รับรางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์

7.2 การรับรางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ ให้ทำ�ตามข้อตกลงและเงื่อนไขที่คณะกรรมการประจำ�หอศิลป์กำ�หนด หากไม่ดำ�เนินการตาม เงื่อนไข หอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร อาจใช้สิทธิ์เรียกร้องให้ผู้ได้รับรางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์คืนเงินรางวัลพร้อมดอกเบี้ยตามมติที่คณะกรรมการ ประจำ�หอศิลป์พิจารณา 8. การสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน

ผู้ได้รับรางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์จะต้องสร้างสรรค์ผลงานในจำ�นวนและระยะเวลาที่คณะกรรมการประจำ�หอศิลป์พิจารณา โดยความเห็นชอบ ของคณะกรรมการคัดเลือก และตัดสิน 9. กรรมสิทธิ์ของผลงานสร้างสรรค์

ผลงานสร้างสรรค์ของศิลปินทีไ่ ด้รบ ั รางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ศล ิ ปกรรม ศิลป์ พีระศรี ประจำ�ปี 2556 จะถูกคัดเลือกจากกรรมการประจำ�หอศิลป์ และผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิทางศิลปะให้เป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ของหอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร จำ�นวนคนละ 1 ชิ้น ผลงานสร้างสรรค์ของศิลปินที่ได้รับรางวัลทุน สร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรม ศิลป์ พีระศรี ประจำ�ปี 2556 หอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรสงวนสิทธิ์ในการจัดพิมพ์เผยแพร่ผลงานในสูจิบัตร และเอกสาร สิ่งพิมพ์อื่นๆ รวมทั้งระบบสารสนเทศสมัยใหม่ต่างๆ 10. การจัดนิทรรศการ

ตามประกาศมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ลงวันที่ 21 พฤศจิกายน 2555 เรื่องทุนสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรมศิลป์ พีระศรี ครั้งที่ 13 โครงการเชิดชูเกียรติศิลปินยอดเยี่ยมแห่งประเทศไทย รางวัลศิลป์ พีระศรี ประจำ�ปี พ.ศ. 2556 ได้เชิญชวนศิลปินส่งผลงานเข้า ประกวดในโครงการดังกล่าว แล้วนั้น

“Land”

is the base of every things in the world. High, low, soft and hard, every place has a history and a treasure. Land is the lost part of our everyday world, one that we walk on and often forget it’s importance. Actually it’s quite the opposite land is the most value be and important resource. Land is the meaning of our country and the base of farming which is the cornerstone of Thailand.

Land can be compared to our

body it’s an essentrol part of our life.

“ดิน” คือฐานรองรับทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างใน โลก มีความสูง ต่ำ� ลุ่ม ดอน นุ่มและ แข็ ง มี คุ ณ สมบั ติ แ ละมี ป ระวั ติ ศ าสตร์ ของแต่ละพื้นที่แตกต่างกันไป เนื่องจาก พื้นดินเป็นส่วนที่อยู่ต่ำ�สุด เป็นพื้นที่ที่คน เหยียบย่ำ� ในความหมายหนึ่งอาจดูไร้ค่า และไม่มีความสำ�คัญใด แต่ในทางตรงกัน ข้าม “ดิน” ก็เป็นสิ่งที่มีมูลค่าและคุณค่า สูงที่สุดที่ไม่ควรมองข้ามไปได้เลย เพราะ ดินคือความหมายของประเทศ และเป็น สัญลักษณ์ของพืน้ ทีท่ ำ�การเกษตรอันเป็น สัมมาอาชีพหลักของคนไทย “ดิน” จึง เป็นสิ่งสำ�คัญที่เทียบได้กับเนื้อหนังมังสา

SONGCHAI BUACHUM Realm of Inter-relationship between Matter and the Spiritual

Environs impact upon every aspect of our understanding of things. All of us have been grasping, absorbing and valuating things generations after generations. As a result, we could say that there are two aspects of meaning in all things. Often times, one is separated from the other, even though the two are inter-related. These two elements come in pair – be it in likeness or in variance, all of which are man-made to highlight their contrast. Earth and sky, external and internal, happiness and suffering, vice and virtue, materiality and the spiritual, self and nothingness, void and non-existence are but some of the examples. Every element in the pairing supports and tops off the other, even in time of confusion and chaos.

The instant one hears an “internal voice of consciousness” reverberating, try to focus on that “opposing pairs”. This will lead us onto the path of wisdom, to an appreciation of the same truth, to a spiritual uplifting.

This whole process is grounded upon a contemplation of nature, aiming at perceiving the “message” – one that communicates meaning and value 10

from the “inside”, inclusive of an insight into beauty and truth. In that instant, one will also sense some of the attributes of the “Enlightened One” inside us, bit by bit.

The underlying idea of my space arrangement is a well-balanced composition of spaces of different sizes, big and small. These large spaces are filled up with interactive activities among the spaces representing ideas, fantasies, and truths – all of which are inter-related, much like touching a silky and coarse texture of objects, or hearing the wind wafting by amid stillness, or seeing light shining on a path amid pitch-darkness.

All this are inter-related to one another, flow in and out of one another – on the two-, three-dimensioned spaces, as well as in the spiritual dimension. Relying on the angle of sight and artistic perspective principle, one’s sight is being led to the converging point of the two aspects of truth – i.e., seeing the meaning from the inside out…the inter-relatedness of space, objects and mind…all of which are bonded by one and the same spiritual core.

PATTANASUTTICHONLAKUN Nowadays, interpersonal interaction requires communication devices which have been adjusted in forms of style and connection between sending and receiving methods in order to make promptly response. That leads to the signification of remote sensing, due to the consistency development of all kinds of innovation. It has become cultural globalization in which knowledge and experiences have been shared globally, not belong to any particular nation. It is the effect of the mainstream the current media have become and that response the needs of oneself in the changing era. We are now living among the changes that being served in commercial way.

Regarding the development of innovations lately, new vocabularies i.e. “Selfie”, “Like”, “Share”, “Twitter”, or “Follower” have been widely used, and interestingly being parts of our everyday lives. However, we probably could not define it in forms of perception or accession, or it could only be virtual reality which simulates in an acceptable form that allows us to access at all times.

Technically, the data disperses via cyberspace connect us to other space and time in variety of directions.

It could only be a simulation that responses to group of individual’s needs, creates indefinitely symbolic sharing space in society. People are welcome to be part of all kinds of activity, as well as modifying informa-

tion through sending and receiving. The creative piece is based on new methods of development that connects to responsive arts.

Visual space is not only as being seen, the change of applied media usage has become the recombination of communication devices. It is responsive to the contemporary with new media that creates differentiated diverse aesthetic experiences in which represents in virtuality. As we are living along with it and become accustomed to it without doubt for this phenomenon.

Virtual Interaction Space Project allows audience to be part of the creativity with the simulating method that serves my concept by employing symbols and structures from my imagination. It reflects the connection between individual’s space and objects at present time. The audience could share his or her imagination by creating personal space on the media and make it become public. Its purpose is for everyone to be participate, exchange and share ideas under the domain: http:// www.w-w-w-w-w.com/ and the art pieces in the exhibition.

In order for all to receive variety of experiences, not only being an audience but also creator of his or her own creativities.

I share the creation of sketch in condition of personal imagination. That is only model of style and experiences which reflects audience’s needs who want to share under the artist’s condition in the context of cultural globalization according to present time in current circumstance: time of changing.

Virtual Interaction Space “พื้นที่ปฏิสัมพันธ์เสมือน” ในสภาวะปัจจุบนั การปฎิสมั พันธ์ ระหว่างบุคคล ต้องผ่านรูป แบบและเครือ่ งมือในการสือ่ สาร การสือ่ สารได้ถกู ปรับเปลีย่ น รูปแบบการเชือ่ มโยง ระหว่างวิธกี ารส่งสาร และวิธกี ารรับสาร ให้ ตอบสนองในทันทีในกาลปัจจุบัน ทำ�ให้เราให้ความสำ�คัญ ต่อ การสื่อสารระยะไกล ( Remote sensing ) จากการ ใช้ นวัตกรรมต่างๆที่ถูกพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่อง กลายเป็น วัฒนธรรมโลกาภิวัตน์ ที่ความรู้และประสบการณ์ ต่างๆถูก แลกเปลี่ยนกันทั่วโลก ไม่ใช่ความรู้ของชนชาติใดอีกต่อไปอัน เป็นผลจากจากเครื่องมือสร้างสื่อที่ตอบสนองได้อย่างเป็น ปัจจุบันกลายเป็น สื่อกระแสหลักที่ส่งผลต่อความต้องการ ตอบสนองของตนเองในยุคสมัยที่เปลี่ยนไป เรากำ�ลังดำ�เนิน ชีวิตท่ามการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ตอบสนองในเชิงพานิชย์ จาก การพัฒนา นวัตกรรมต่างๆ จากในระยะเวลาไม่นานที่ผ่าน มาเรา ใช้ ภาษา และศัพท์ ต่างๆมากมายอาทิเช่น “Selfie” “Like” “Share” “Twitter” “Follower” ที่มาเป็นส่วน หนึ่งในชีวิตประจำ�วันที่เป็นการตอบสนองต่อการดำ�เนินชีวิต ที่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งมีส่วนร่วมในหลากหลายเรื่องราวที่สนใจ เป็น พัฒนาไปในวิถีแห่งวิวัฒนาการในปรากฏกาณ์ดังกล่าวเราไม่ อาจแยกแยะการรับรู้และการเข้าถึง ว่าเป็นรูปแบบใดได้บ้าง ครั้งอาจเป็นเพียงแค่รูปแบบ ที่เป็นความจริงแบบความเป็น จริงเสมือน ( Virtual Reality) เป็นการจำ�ลองรูปแบบที่เรา ยอมรับได้ จากเรื่องราวต่างที่ขาดหาย ให้ตอบสนองในทันที่ เราสามารถเข้าถึงได้ทุกช่วงเวลา ทางด้านเทคนิคเป็นเพียง การกระจายข้อมูลผ่าน Cyber Space ที่สามารถจะนำ�พา เราเชือ่ มโยง ไปในพืน้ ทีแ่ ละช่วงเวลาอืน่ ๆนำ�พาไปสูส่ งิ่ ใหม่ๆใน ทิศทางอันหลากหลาย เป็นเพียงภาพสมมุติที่การตอบสนอง ความต้องการส่วนบุคคลเฉพาะกลุม่ สร้างเป็นสังคมพืน้ ทีแ่ ลก เปลี่ยนเชิงสัญลักษณ์ที่ไม่ตายตัว ทุกคนมีสิทธ์เข้าร่วมใน กิจกรรมต่าง ได้ในหลากหลายรูปแบบ ร่วมกระทั่งถึง การมี ส่วนร่วมในการปรับปรุงปรุงแต่งเรื่องราวต่างๆ จากการใช้ งานการส่งสาร การรับ ผลงานสร้างสรรค์ ก็ตงั้ อยูใ่ นวิถกี าร พัฒนาการวิธใี หม่ๆในการเชือ่ มโยง ระหว่าง ศิลปะเชิงโต้ตอบ ไม่ใช่แค่เพียงที่ตาเห็น Visual Space อีกต่อไป ด้วยการ ประยุกต์การใช้สอื่ ต่างๆ ทีร่ ปู แบบการใช้เครือ่ งมือปรับเปลีย่ น ไป ไปเป็นการใช้งานรวมตัวกันใหม่ของเครื่องมือสื่อสาร

The origin of these works had started from the sorrow of loss for my first delivered daughter, which inspired me hard to create the set of marvelous sadness to remind the loss of our beloved daughter. After the first display, we had tried ever harder to have a new baby, consulted with doctors and been infertility treatment for almost two years. We finally found that we had lost our babies two times from the first period of developing fetus. With the situations over and over, the thoughts of my great loss and sadness became fully grown and developed more and more to me until I had in minds to express

these experiences into new developed and conceptual artworks to appreciate the valuable happiness from transcendent suffering through and keep on living with conventionality.

To create this set of artworks became from the loss of our beloved babies, which I got direct experiences. By using the shape of the organs involved like; uterus, ovary, placenta, amniotic fluid, blood vessel and umbilical cord put together with shape of tree branches as collective structure and imaginary emotional from seeing the pip moving through the ultra sound, which is a sign of a new life has begun and the cells will be slowly developed to be completed as a baby that’s ready to come out to see the new world soon.

The time being in fetus is like a small seed that receives nutrient, water and fertilizer until

growing up to be the big strong tree to the world , blooming, giving fruits for people. Therefore in uterus does not mean only a baby to be delivered but can also refer to all seeds, as well as embryos, which need love and tender care for them.

The process of these artworks are mixed technique painting, patched together with color paper collage, tinting and / or painting acrylic and black pencils’ sketching on well polished canvas. First to enlarge the sketch on canvas then patched the colored paper-issue into the sketched structure. This step needed time the most because the humidity had to be controlled to match the shade of colors. In some areas, the paper-issue

must be watery to patch over on canvas in order to look like the issue in the body. Colors tinting or painting had to wait until the paper-issues dried completely, especially in the edge connected to paper skins to prevent colors seep into the issue. Painting in each piece had been repeatedly painted over and over at least four times, started with the light color to the darker and darker by leaving the shade of outline to be seen.

This method used for looking the complexity and total dimensions of the works. The final works will be retouching with black pencils but not all of them.

หรือระบายสีจะต้องรอใหเ้ยื่อกระดาษที่ปะติดไว้ แห้งเสียสนิทก่อน โดยเฉพาะใน บริเวณที่เชื่อมต่อกับผิวกระดาษ เพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้สีซึมเขา้ไปในเน้ือกระดาษท่ียัง เปียกช้นื อยู่ ขนีั้ ตอนการระบายสีในงานแต่ละชิน้ จะแต้มหรือระบายทับซ้อนกันอย่าง น้อยสี่ระดับ น้ำ�หนักโดยเริ่มจากสีอ่อนไปสู่สีท่ีเข้มข้ึนเรื่อยๆ โดยในแต่ละระดับจะมี

eyond Perception

According to the experience of the artist, throughout the daily life routine as other people, there are many aspects and role in one people, working as the workman force at the office, a member of the family, and acting as a unit of social culture. I, from this aspect can be noticed many issues that happening in everyday via news, that of course it may be the global news, or even the local issues. Almost of them are reflecting the conflict between human. It may reflect to the cause and effect of actions. All of this information are now feed us through sounds such as Radio news, visual by televisions, newspaper on-line medias, even us are the person who spread out those messages attending or unattendingly.

The over layer of chaotic and simplicity All of the noise or unnecessarily messages that surrounding us. If we can notice, they will always have small space between them. For example, all of alphabetical or literary messages, they are space between the words and lines. On the other hands, among of those overwhelming information they will be a space gap between our perceptions. The space gap can be seen as a physical empty space or even duration of time. This always happened in every chaotic situation.

These things reflect the power of messages, the dynamic power that

moving surrounding us. It happens (even in every second) and it gone, as a cycle of life. Now we mention about the messages (news in this case) many news, many messages are already edited by editor or I would call manipulator. There are many aspects of the message (we may call the truth) but when the message was published to us just only in some aspect that they want to show. Message has been distorted for some certain purpose. That news are somehow effecting us perceptually and consciously to our emotion, behavior and our attitude. However, as we are the person among the overwhelming messages, our consciousness becomes necessary. It depends on the personal experience how to deal with this stressfulness.

Among chaotic situation there will be a tranquility moment hiding in the gap. As a metamorphosis situation to be visual art elements. There are multi layers of situations and activities.

Therefore, there are some gaps, space between them.

usage of newspaper is representative of contemporary iconic of message. That transform from digitalize overwhelming message into analogy feel and touch as readymade printing object. Hanging from the ceiling of the exhibition space has been considered as a proposal of the project. It is always considering and developing throughout year to fine an appropriate art form solution.

Major icon form has been concluded as an egg form to represent the protection and the birth, which can be notice through multi-layer of hanging strip papers. จากผลของการทำ�งานศิลปะ ผ่านการศึกษาค้นคว้า ทดลอง สั ง เกตการใช้ ชี วิ ต ประจำ � วั น ในฐานะของปุ ถุ ช นคน ธรรมดาทีผ ่ า่ นมา ทัง้ ในมิตขิ องการเป็นอยู่ การเป็นส่วนหนึง่ ของ ครอบครัว การทำ�งาน และวัฒนธรรมของสังคมไทย ข้าพเจ้าเห็น ถึงประเด็นเรือ่ งราวต่างๆ ทีเ่ กิดขึน้ เป็นข่าวในสังคมโลกาภิวฒ ั น์ใน ปัจจุบัน ต่างเต็มไปด้วยเรื่องราวต่างๆที่สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความ ขัดแย้ง กิเลส ผลประโยชน์ การกระทำ� และผลของการกระทำ� ต่างๆ ปรากฏขึ้นตามหน้าสื่อหลากหลายชนิด ไม่ว่าจะเป็น วิทยุ โทรทัศน์ หนังสือพิมพ์ และสือ่ เครือข่ายสังคม ชุมชนออนไลน์ ซึง่ แทรกซึมเข้ามากลายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในวิถีประจำ�วันโดยไม่รู้ตัว การ แทรกซ่อนตัวระหว่างช่องว่างของความวุน่ วายและความเรียบง่าย The over layer of chaotic and simplicity ความวุน่ วาย ของสิ่งรบกวน (noise) ที่เกิดขึ้นมีอยู่นั้น ถ้าสังเกตให้ดีจะมีช่อง ว่างเล็กๆซ่อนอยู่ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นช่องว่างระหว่างบรรทัด หรือช่อง ว่างของพื้นที่ว่างของการรับรู้ก็ตาม สิ่งเหล่านี้ต่างสะท้อนให้เห็น ถึงกระแสพลวัตรที่หมุนเวียน การเกิดขึ้น คงอยู่ ดับไป ข่าวสาร ต่างๆ ต่างมีมิติมุมมองที่ถูก “ผู้ปรุงแต่ง” (Manipulator) หยิบยกเฉพาะบางประเด็นมาขยายเพื่อผลบางอย่างที่ถูกซ่อน เร้น ซึง่ ข้อมูลทีถ่ กู ส่งออกอย่างตัง้ ใจปรุงแต่งนัน้ ถึงผูร้ บั สารซึง่ มีทั้งเปิดรับอย่างตั้งใจและไม่ตั้งใจ ย่อมเกิดผลกระทบต่อการรับ รู้ไม่ทางตรงก็ทางอ้อมเสมอ ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบถึงอารมณ์ ความ รู้สึก พฤติกรรม และทัศนคติของผู้รับสารนั่นเอง อย่างไรก็ตาม ท่ามกลางการบ่าไหลของ “ข้อมูลข่าวสารที่ท่วมท้น” การมีสติ ไตร่ตรอง กรองข้อมูล ย่อมขึ้นอยู่กับ สติและทัศนคติของผู้รับ สารนั้นที่จะค้นพบ “ความสงบในสายธารแห่งความโกลาหล”เหล่า นั้น คนทุกคนต่างก็ขวนขวายหาความสงบสุขอยู่ในใจ ท่ามกลาง กระแสเหตุการณ์วุ่นวายต่างๆที่เกิดขึ้นรอบๆตัวเรา บางครั้งเรา อาจจะมีเวลาหลบหลีกปลีกวิเวกจากสภาพแวดล้อมของสังคม อันสับสนอันส่งผลกระทบต่อจิตใจ บางสภาวะซึ่งบ่อยครั้งที่ เราไม่อาจจะหลบหนีหายไปไหนได้ เรายังต้องเผชิญหน้าใช้ชีวิต ดำ�เนินต่อไปท่ามกลางสภาถานการณ์อนั วุน่ วายดังกล่าว อย่างไร ก็ตามบางเวลาบางชัว่ ขณะทีท่ ำ�ให้เราสามารถฉุกคิด มองเห็นหรือ ตระหนักถึงสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นและเป็นอยู่ และในสภาวะเดียวกัน เรายัง สามารถรับรู้ถึงพื้นที่ว่างทางจิตใจ ที่ทำ�ให้เราเกิดความสงบนิ่ง ท่ามกลางความวุ่นวายได้นั้น ย่อมเป็นสิ่งที่ประเสริฐ การหยุด นิ่งท่ามกลางสิ่งแวดล้อมที่หมุนไป แรงโน้มถ่วงแห่งข่าวสารอัน ล้นทะลัก (The Gravity of Overwhelming Message) เป็นการแสดงจุดยืนท่ามกลางกระแสสารทีไ่ หลผ่าน ผลงานศิลปะ จึงถูกเลือกใช้เป็นสื่ออย่างหนึ่งที่โน้มนำ� ชี้ให้เห็นผ่านสัญญะของ สภาวะสงบนิ่งท่ามกลางความสับสน

รูปทรงกับแรงโน้มถ่วง การสร้างและจัดวางรูปทรง ตามแรงโน้มถ่วง (Form from Gravity) จากการต้องการ สร้างสภาวะ บรรยากาศ (Ambient) ให้ผู้ชมสามารถมองเห็น ถึงความวุ่นวาย (Chaotic) และความสงบนิ่ง ว่าง (Tranquility Peaceful) ในพื้นที่เดียวกัน แน่นอน จะต้องนำ�ไปสู่พื้นที่ แสดงความขัดแย้งของสองสถานะ การเลือกใช้วัสดุ เช่น เศษ กระดาษหนังสือพิมพ์ที่ถูกตัดให้มีรูปทรง ขนาดย่อยลง แต่ ถูกนำ�มาใช้ซ้ำ�กันในปริมาณมาก แสดงให้เห็นถึงสภาวะความ วุ่นวายของข่าวสารที่ถูกส่งออกมาอย่างท่วมท้น ที่ดูเหมือนจะ 28

ถูกจัดระเบียบอย่างไร้แบบแผน หรืออีกนัยหนึ่งการจงใจสร้าง ความสับสนอย่างเป็นระเบียบ ผ่านวิธีการทำ�งานของศิลปินที่ได้ เลือกกระดาษหนังสือพิมพ์ที่มีข่าวสารปรากฏอยู่มากมาย โดย ให้ข่าวสารเหล่านั้นถูกเรียงลำ�ดับเปลี่ยนกลับสลับหน้าไม่เหมือน อย่างที่หนังสือพิมพ์ทั่วไปทำ� การคัดเลือกเฉพาะขนาด Format ของกระดาษหนังสือพิมพ์ การคัดเลือกโทนสีของการพิมพ์เฉด และการตัดเปลี่ยนขนาดของกระดาษ เป็นการ ผลงานชิ้นเล็กๆ ผสมกับการจัดวางชิน้ กระดาษทีถ่ กู จัดเตรียมชิน้ เล็กๆ ให้เกิดมวล ปริมาตร เพื่อสร้างรูปทรงหลัก ในขณะเดียวกันชิ้นงานกระดาษ หน่วยย่อยขนาดเล็กเหล่านั้น บางชิ้นก็ได้จงใจซ่อนผลงานที่มีรูป แบบศิลปะเครือ่ งประดับ (Jewelry Art) เพือ่ สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงงาน ศิลปะต่างมิตขิ นาด ทีท่ ำ�หน้าทีเ่ สมือนงานประติมากรรมทีแ่ นบชิด กับร่างกายได้ (Intimacy Sculpture) เป็นอีกทัศนธาตุหนึ่งที่ ต้องการนำ�เสนอถึงความสำ�คัญของ ความเปราะบาง (Fragile) และความสุกสว่าง ยั่งยืน (Lighten, Enlighten) ผ่านทัศนธาตุ กึ่งลวงตา ผ่านการทับซ้อนกันของวัสดุ ซึ่งจะสะท้อนนัยยะถึง ความรู้สึกสงบสุขที่ดูเหมือนจะต้องค้นหา แต่กลับอยู่ที่วิธีคิดและ หรือมุมมอง วัสดุเปราะบางชิ้นเล็กๆนี้จะแทนค่าด้วยวัสดุกระดาษ หนังสือพิมพ์เช่นเดียวกัน ในขณะเดียวกัน วัสดุสุกสว่างก็จะใช้ กระดาษหนังสือพิมพ์ แต่ตา่ งกันทีก่ ารคัดเลือกความเข้มของสีหมึก พิมพ์ที่ต่างกัน และถูกเพิ่มเติมในเชิงสัญลักษณ์ด้วยการวาดเส้น อันจะแสดงถึงการกระทำ� สิ่งที่กระทำ�ลงไปบนสื่อวัสดุนั้นนั่นเอง

ผลงาน “ก่อนญาณ” หรือก่อนที่เราจะรับรู้ได้ถึงสิ่งที่ สำ�คัญที่อยู่ใกล้ตัวที่ถูกมองข้ามได้นั้น ไม่ต้องรอให้มีเหตุการณ์ เปลีย่ นแปลงใดมากระทบ แต่ “สติ” และ “ปัญญา” เป็นสิง่ ทีส่ ำ�คัญ ที่ทำ�ให้เราตื่นและรับรู้อยู่กับปัจจุบันเสมอ ผลงาน “ก่อนญาณ” ได้แทนค่าของสิ่งเหล่านี้ที่เกิดขึ้น ผ่านสัญญะและทัศนธาตุทาง ศิลปะ ทัง้ ในมิตเิ ล็กๆของชิน้ งาน จนประกอบกันเป็นมวลปริมาตร ใหญ่ สอดคล้องกับบริบทของพืน้ ทีแ่ สดงงาน การจัดวางวัตถุชนิ้ เล็กๆเข้าด้วยกัน ก่อให้เกิดการบิดเบือนกึง่ ลวงตา (Distortion, Illusion) การซ่อนรายละเอียดเล็กๆในมวลขนาดใหญ่ เช่นการ ซ่อนรายละเอียดของงานในลักษณะมิติของงานเครื่องประดับ แทรกซึมอยู่ในมวลปริมาตรประติมากรรมมหึมา เป็นการทำ�งาน ที่เล่นกับขนาด มิติ และพื้นที่ว่าง เพื่อสร้างเอกภาพในชิ้นงานรวม เดียวกัน และแน่นอน แนวความคิดนีจ้ ะถูกส่งผ่านไปอยูบ่ นวิธกี าร จัดวางงานศิลปะชิน้ นีก้ บั พืน้ ทีว่ า่ งในระดับต่างขนาดและมิติ เพือ่ ให้ ผู้ชมงานสามารถรับรู้ประสบการณ์ใหม่อย่างใกล้ชิดกับประสาท สัมผัสการรับรู้ของมนุษย์เราทั้งก่อนและหลังการชมงานนั่นเอง
