ปฏิกริ ยิ าของศิลปินและประชาชนทีม่ แี ก่ศลิ ปสมัยใหม่นนั้ แบ่งออกได้เป็นสองฝ่ายตรงกันข้ามคือ ฝ่ายหนึง่ ได้แก่ ประชาชนทัว่ ไป ทีม่ คี วามเสียใจทีง่ านจิตรกรรมและประติมากรรมตามแบบประเพณีทสี่ ร้างขึน้ เพือ่ บรรยายเรือ่ งต่าง ๆ ในงานวรรณคดีนนั้ ไม่มใี ครท�ำกันอีก อีกฝ่ายหนึ่งได้แก่ศิลปิน และนักวิจารณ์ศิลป ซึ่งส่งเสริมงานศิลปแบบใหม่ๆ แปลกๆ ที่ไม่ค่อยจะมีใครเข้าใจ

ได้เคยกล่าวหลายครั้งแล้วว่า ศิลปนั้นเป็นปฏิกิริยาทางธรรมชาติของศิลปินที่มีต่อชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของเรา คราวใดที่วัฒนธรรม เปลี่ยนแปลงไปมาก ศิลปก็ย่อมเปลี่ยนตามไปด้วย ไม่มีประโยชน์อันใดที่จะกล่าวว่า ของเก่าหรือของใหม่ดีกว่ากัน ไม่มีใครมีอำ� นาจหยุดยั้ง ความจริงหรือความเสือ่ มของอารยธรรมได้ อาจเป็นการไร้เหตุผลทีจ่ ะมาถกเถียงกันว่าขีช่ า้ งดีกว่าหรือขีร่ ถยนต์ดกี ว่า ปัจจุบนั นีเ้ ราใช้รถยนต์ เป็นพาหนะถ้าหากว่าใครเกิดหาญขี่ช้างไปตามถนนเจริญกรุง ก็คงถูกจับหรือไม่ก็ถูกส่งไปอยู่โรงพยาบาลโรคจิตเป็นแน่

หากว่าสิ่งที่กล่าวแล้วข้างต้นนั้นถูก เราก็ควรเข้าใจได้ว่า ศิลปปัจจุบันนั้นไม่อาจมีลักษณะอย่างเช่นศิลปโบราณได้

ฝ่ายตรงข้ามกับฝ่ายแรก ซึง่ ได้แก่ศลิ ปินและนักวิจารณ์ศลิ ป ก็มคี วามคิดเห็นก้าวไปไกลมากพากันยกย่องการแสดงออกซึง่ ความ รูส้ กึ ทีไ่ ม่อาจเข้าใจได้วา่ เป็นสิง่ มีคา่ และโดยเหตุทปี่ ระชาชนส่วนใหญ่ไม่สามารถเข้าใจงานศิลปเหล่านัน้ ก็วา่ ประชาชนขาดความนิยมชมชอบ และความรู้สึกในศิลป มีหนังสือหลายต่อหลายเล่มที่เขียนอธิบายความหมายของศิลปสมัยใหม่ ซึ่งยิ่งอ่านก็ยิ่งท�ำให้เราโง่ การสร้างรูปเขียน รูปปัน้ ทีม่ อี งค์ประกอบอันแปลกประหลาด มุง่ เพือ่ ให้เกิดความกลัว แต่ไม่ใช่ความกลัว ซึง่ เกิดขึน้ โดยงานศิลปทีแ่ ท้ ทีม่ คี วามมุง่ หมายจะแก้ไข ความต�ำ่ ของสัญชาตญาณและความเสือ่ มโทรมนานาประการ ดังนัน้ จึงกลายเป็นสร้างความน่าเกลียดเพือ่ ความน่าเกลียดนัน่ เอง ปฏิกริ ยิ าซึง่ บังเกิดแก่ลัทธินิยมในความงาม ได้น�ำเอาลัทธินิยมความป่าเถื่อนมาสู่เรา

ที่แท้จริงนั้น ศิลปมีจุดหมายปลายทางเช่นเดียวกับศาสนา กล่าวคือ มุ่งหมายเพื่อยกระดับจิตใจของมนุษย์ให้ขึ้นสู่ความบริสุทธิ์ ผุดผ่อง เมื่อกล่าวว่า ศิลปเพื่อศิลป ก็ดูเป็นเรื่องเหลวไหลส�ำหรับการวิพากษ์วิจารณ์ในยุคปัจจุบัน โบราณนั้นสร้างศิลปเพื่อประโยชน์ของ ประชาชน มิใช่เพื่อประโยชน์ของศิลปิน ศิลปินจ�ำต้องให้ประโยชน์แก่สังคม มิฉะนั้นเขาก็ประสบผลล้มเหลวในความมุ่งหมายส่วนใหญ่

การวินจิ ฉัยงานศิลปนัน้ ควรปฏิบตั โิ ดยปราศจากความโน้มเอียง แต่โดยทางปฏิบตั แิ ล้ว หลักทางทฤษฎีนนั้ ย่อมเป็นไปไม่ได้ เพราะ คนเราทุกคนมีความพอใจในศิลปเป็นพิเศษแตกต่างกัน อันขึ้นอยู่กับธรรมชาติของแต่ละบุคคล ตามความเป็นจริงนั้น ความแตกต่างกันใน ความนิยมชมชอบศิลปเป็นสิ่งจ�ำเป็นถ้าหากว่าเกิดความนิยมเช่นเดียวกันหมด ความนิยมนั้นก็ปราศจากความหมาย เพราะไม่มีการเปรียบ เทียบให้เห็นสิ่งซึ่งเป็นตรงกันข้าม

อย่างไรก็ดี เราต้องไม่วนิ จิ ฉัยงานศิลปตามอารมณ์ความรูส้ กึ ของเรา เราต้องพยายามเข้าใจความคิดและแบบศิลปส่วนบุคคลของ ศิลปินโดยไม่เข้ากับตัวเรา จากการปฏิบัติเช่นนี้ เราก็อาจชื่นชมสิ่งซึ่งเมื่อก่อนเราคิดว่าปราศจากค่าไม่น่าสนใจได้

เราต้องวินิจฉัยงานศิลปด้วยหลักพื้นฐานบางประการ ซึ่งเห็นได้โดยง่าย ในการแสดงออกซึ่งความรู้สึกทางศิลปที่สำ� คัญทั้งหลาย ประการแรกและส�ำคัญที่สุด คือความรู้สึกทางอารมณ์ เมื่อเราดูงานจิตรกรรม งานประติมากรรม หรืองานภาพพิมพ์ความรู้สึกทางอารมณ์นี้ ไม่อาจพรรณนาเป็นถ้อยค�ำได้ เพราะเป็นคุณลักษณะทางจิตอันเร้นลับ ซึ่งปลุกมโนภาพของเราให้ตื่นตัวขึ้น ย่อมเป็นสิ่งแน่ว่าความรู้สึกเช่น นี้ ไม่ควรจะเกิดขึ้นจากการได้เห็นชิ้นงานศิลปที่สวยงามอย่างฉาบฉวย หรือเร้าอารมณ์ชั่วขณะ เพราะงานประเภทนี้สร้างขึ้นเพื่อให้บุคคล สามัญพอใจอันจัดเข้าเป็นประเภทพาณิชยศิลป ประการที่สอง ถ้าเป็นงานประติมากรรมก็อยู่ทมี่ วลและปริมาตร ถ้าเป็นภาพพิมพ์ก็อยู่ที่เส้น และน�้ำหนักอ่อนแก่อันถ่วงกันอย่างพอเหมาะพอดี เกี่ยวกับภาพคนนั้นเราไม่จ�ำเป็นต้องเข้มงวดในส่วนสัดเท่าใดนัก ในทางศิลปเรายอมให้ เปลี่ยนแปลงส่วนสัดและรูปนอกของภาพได้ ตราบเท่าที่ยังมีความประสานกลมกลืนกันดีอยู่ ถ้าหากเกิดความไม่ประสานกลมกลืนชิ้นในงาน ศิลปแล้ว ศิลปินก็จะประสบความล้มเหลวในความพยายามที่มีอยู่ในงานของตน

คุณสมบัตติ า่ ง ๆ ทีก่ ล่าวมาข้างต้นนัน้ เมือ่ น�ำมาเปรียบเทียบกับงานศิลปสมัยใหม่แล้ว จะเห็นได้วา่ การท�ำงานอย่างมีความประณีต งดงามนั้นไม่เป็นสิ่งส�ำคัญเลย ปัจจุบันนี้เทคนิคเป็นเรื่องส่วนตัวทีเดียว ดังนั้นศิลปินทุกคนจึงท�ำงานอย่างตามใจชอบ

ตามทีก่ ล่าวมาแล้วนี้ ความเห็นของทัง้ สองฝ่ายนัน้ ผิด เพราะมีความรุนแรงเกินไปไม่อยูใ่ นสายกลางเคราะห์ดที ศี่ ลิ ปินไทยปัจจุบนั ได้รับพิษร้ายจากผลิตผลงานศิลปที่เหมาะส�ำหรับโลกพระอังคารเท่านั้น จะมีบ้างก็มีน้อยเต็มที ศิลปินของเราพยายามเนรมิตงานใหม่ ๆ ชิ้น ทั้งทางด้านความคิดและแบบอย่าง แต่ก็ยังเป็นงานที่ดูเข้าใจได้ ที่ส�ำคัญยิ่งกว่านั้น คือ เป็นงานศิลป ซึ่งอาจค้นพบลักษณะของไทยเราได้

The public and the artists reaction to the displays of modern art is divided into two opposite groups. One, in general the public, lamenting the loss of the traditional style illustrating subjects of cultural literature by sculpture and painting, the other group, generally formed by artists and critics of art supporting contemporary expressions in which the artist seems to try his best to be eccentric.

We have said many times that art is the natural reaction of the artist to the life we live. Each time a culture undergoes a profound change, art is bound to follow. There is no use to say whether the old or the new is better- nobody has the power to stop the progress or even the regress of civilizations. It would be absurd to dispute whether it was better to ride on elephant’s back or drive a motorcar. In our days, whenever it is possible, we use motorcars and if by chance on dared to ride on an elephant’s back along New Road, one would be put in jail or in an asylum.

If what we have just said is correct, we should also understand that contemporary art cannot have the same peculiarities of the old one.

The opposite group, as mentioned above, formed by many artists and critics of art, go to the other extreme by praising incomprehensible expressions as masterpieces and because the majority of the public cannot understand such works, then it is said that the public lacks art appreciation and sensitiveness. Books are written to explain the meaning of this kind of art, but after an intent perusal we know even less than before. Grotesque figures are painted or modelled supposed to incite fear, but not the kind of fear which is suggested by reals works of art executed with a purpose of correcting our low instinct and defects - it is an ugliness for ugliness’ sake. The reaction to Hellenism has brought us to brutalism.

Indeed, art has the same finalities of religion. It is made to support human beings in their spiritual ascension towards perfection. Art for art’s sake sounds a nonsense of modern criticism. In olden days art was done for the benefit of the people, not for the benefit of an artist. As artist has a social function, otherwise he fails in his principle purpose.

A work of art should be judged free from bias, but practically this theoretical principle is impossible because everyone of us has a peculiar preference in art due to our individual nature. As a matter of the fact, the difference of art appreciation is necessary otherwise we would finish with appreciating “nothing” because of a lack of contrasting comparison.

At any rate a work of art must not be judged only according to our feelings; we have to honestly try to understand the conception and the personal style of the artist; on doing so, it may occur to us to appreciate what we formerly thought not worthy of special remark.

A work of art has to be judged under some basic aspects which are noticeable in all great artistic expressions. First and foremost is the sensation we prove in beholding the painting or sculpture or engraving. This sensation cannot be defined in words, it is a mystic spiritual quality from which our imagination is awaken. Of course, such a sensation should not arise from a pleasant or romantic subject; in such a case the work is made to please common people and such is a commercial expression. The second observation we should make concerning the harmony of the composition, linear and chromatic if the work is a painting; mass and volumes if it is a sculpture; linear and well - balanced chiaroscuro if it is an engraving. The proportions of the figures do not necessarily have to be strictly correct. In art it is permitted to alter proportions and forms as far as there is no disharmony, because disharmony means that an artist has failed in his endeavors.

In comparison with the aforementioned qualities, finesse of execution is not of great importance in modern art.

Nowadays also the technique is quite personal and so every artist executes the work in an unorthodox way.

Accordingly, to what we have said, both extremist tendencies are wrong, and as always, the middle way is the best.

Fortunately, with the exception of some rare instances, modern Thai artists are not poisoned by an artistic production fit for the planet Mars rather than the earth. They try to create something new, both in conception and style, but still they do a comprehensible art and more important still, an art in which we may trace the character of the Thai.

Preface The Art Centre, Silpakorn University has initiated Silpa Bhirasri’s Creativity Grants project to disseminate and encourage artists’ research and creativity since 2001. This year, the project has come to its 18th exhibition. Artists are invited to submit project proposals for 150,000 Baht grant, which will be selected by honorable judges. Especially, a grant for music is firstly opened for submission this year with the supporting by Icon Siam Company Limited and the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University. Eight creativity projects have been selected for the 18th Silpa Bhirasri’s Creativity Grants.

The Art Centre Silpakorn University would like to express hearty gratitude to honorable judges and working committees, who put effort in this project. In addition, we are thankful for the artists who have continuously created significant art and music which become source of inspiration and knowledge to other students and public.

Thai artists, over 35 years old with regular creativity working, are invited to submit project proposals for grant and a working period of one year, which will be selected by honorable judges from various fields. All of these selected works distinctly show new body knowledge and strengthen Thai contemporary art and music cycle as an inspiration for the young generation of artist and music composer.

PRADIT SAENGKRAI ประดิษฐ์ แสงไกร Ogre Dance

ผู้ประพันธ์เลือกหยิบใช้เพลงกราวในเป็นโจทย์ในการประพันธ์ด้วยเหตุผลความชอบในบทเพลงเป็นการส่วนตัวตั้งแต่วัยเด็ก ประกอบกับสาเหตุอื่นด้วยเช่นกัน ถ้า เราพูดถึงความเป็นไทย จะมีสิ่งที่นึกถึงโดยอัตโนมัติเพียงไม่กี่อย่าง ต้มย�ำกุ้ง กระทิงแดง มวยไทย โขน หรือยักษ์ตนใหญ่ยืนต้อนรับ ผู้ประพันธ์จึงเห็นว่ายักษ์เป็นสัญลักษณ์แทน ประเทศไทยไปโดยปริยาย ซึง่ เพลงกราวในทีผ่ ปู้ ระพันธ์หยิบมาใช้ในบทประพันธ์กม็ คี วามเกีย่ วข้องกับยักษ์ เนือ่ งด้วยเพลงกราวในเป็นเพลงหน้าพาทย์ทใี่ ช้ประกอบการยกทัพของ ยักษ์เท่านั้น จึงเป็นการหยิบใช้เพลงกราวในในเชิงสัญลักษณ์แทนความเป็นชาติไทยในสายตาของชาวต่างชาติที่มาเยือน

เพลงกราวในมีโครงสร้างการประพันธ์เป็นส่วนที่เป็นโยนกับเนื้อเพลง การก�ำหนดอารมณ์ในช่วงต่างๆของเพลงก็ถือเป็นหัวใจหลักของบทประพันธ์ชิ้นนี้ ผู้ประพันธ์ เลือกที่จะใช้ประโยคเพลงแทนสถานการณ์และอารมณ์ต่างๆ บทประพันธ์แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ช่วง โดยช่วงแรกสื่อถึงอารมณ์สนุกสนาน บ่งบอกถึงวิถีชีวิตดั้งเดิมของคนไทยในช่วง สมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา ท้ายช่วงที่หนึ่งจะบ่งบอกสัญญาณถึงภัยที่กำ� ลังคุกคามเข้ามาและส่งต่อไปยังท่อนที่สองซึ่งเกิดสงครามและเสียกรุงในที่สุด มีการแทรกอารมณ์เศร้าโศกโดยใช้ การเลียนเทคนิคการเล่นซอสามสายแต่บรรเลงด้วยเชลโล่เพียงเครื่องเดียว ในช่วงกลางท่อนที่สองเป็นท�ำนองเนื้อเพลงบังคับ ใช้การเดี่ยวปี่ในซึ่งอ้างอิงจากการเดี่ยวเครื่องดนตรี ช่วง Cadenza ในบทประพันธ์ หลังจากนั้นจะเป็นช่วงที่เริ่มกลับมาฟื้นฟูบ้านเมืองและกลับมารื่นเริงได้อีกครั้งในท่อนที่สาม

People would automatically think of Tom Yum Kung, Red Bull, Thai Boxing, Khon or an enormous ogre welcoming guest at a gate when being asked about Thainess. Consequently, the giant is a representative of Thainess for the composer. The ogre dance, or Krao Nai song, is generally for the giant race in Khon performance.

This music composition is divided into three parts; the first part represents joyfulness that indicates the original lifestyle of Ayutthaya kingdom following by the approaching danger at the end of the part. Secondly, the second phrase represents the emerging war and discomfiture eventually; melancholy mood intervened using the fiddle playing technique, produced by the cello alone. The middle of the second phrase expresses a mandatory melody, produced by a reeds oboe, referred to the single instrument in the Cadenza period in the composition. Afterward, it is a period of restoration and recommencement to the high spirit in the third phrase.

มนุษย์มีตัวตนที่รับรู้ประสบการณ์จะสามารถรับรู้สิ่งต่างๆที่เกิดขึ้นอยู่ในชั่วขณะปัจจุบัน และในชั่วขณะปัจจุบันที่จิตคนเรารับรู้นั้น ก็จะค่อยๆเลือนหายไปรับรู้สิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นใหม่อย่างต่อเนื่อง นั่นหมายถึงว่าประสบการณ์ต่างๆที่รับรู้มาตลอดช่วงชีวิตคนเราพร้อมที่จะสูญหาย แต่ที่คนเราสามารถบอกเล่าเรื่องราวประสบการณ์ที่ผ่านมาได้ผ่านมิติตัวตนที่เก็บความทรงจ�ำ ซึ่งท�ำหน้าที่เก็บและ จดจ�ำเรื่องราวต่างๆในชีวิต จากความเป็นมาดังกล่าว ท�ำให้ศิลปินสนใจและต้องการทดลองสร้างสรรค์เรื่องเล่าที่ได้มาจากมิติของตัวตนที่รับรู้ประสบการณ์ ไปพร้อมกับการรื้อค้นมิติตัวตนที่เก็บความ ทรงจ�ำ ผ่านบุคคลชายขอบที่มีชื่อว่าลุงยาว โดยศิลปินสนใจความเป็นเฉพาะตัวของลุงยาว อันเป็นภาพแทนของคนชายขอบพลัดถิ่น ที่เดินทางพเนจรจากแดนอีสาน ไปอาศัยอยู่ในอ�ำเภอเบตงดินแดนที่ อยู่ใต้สุดของประเทศไทยมาตลอดค่อนชีวิต ผ่านการสร้างสรรค์ศิลปะด้วยสื่อภาพถ่ายและวิดีโอในลักษณะสารคดีเชิงทดลอง

Human always learn and experience something new at a certain moment while the prior experience slowly fades away. In other words, our previous experiences could be completely lost at any time. However, human is able to portrays those experience through their dimension of memories. The project is to experiment and create a story of such dimension of experience and memories through a documentary and photographs of a marginalized man named Uncle Yaw. The artist interested in Uncle Yaw who had immigrated from E-san to Betong, the southernmost town of Thailand for more than half of his life.

When the leaders of the empowered countries argue on the use of nuclear weapons, the fear of violence and distorted decision making of such leaders occurs.

The audiences are invited to complete the puzzle with the images that represents violence as they like it. The question that the artworks want to convey is how the audience would feel when they are the one who complete the puzzle that represent “human insanity”, “self-destruction” and “never-ending war”.

ข้าพเจ้าน�ำหลักการเจริญสติแบบอานาปานสติ อันเป็นหลักพระธรรมค�ำสอนขององค์สมเด็จพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า มาใช้ในกระบวนการท�ำงานสร้างสรรค์ เพื่อให้จิต ตื่นรู้กับความเป็นปัจจุบันขณะ รู้เท่าทันจิตที่ฟุ้งซ่าน สับสน วุ่นวาย ให้เกิดสมาธิ สติ ปัญญา ในด�ำรงชีวิตกับสภาวะสังคมปัจจุบัน โดยแสดงออกมาในรูปแบบผลงานจิตรกรรมเชิง นามธรรม ผ่านการบันทึกเป็นรูปทรงร่องรอยต่างๆทีท่ บั ซ้อนกัน เพือ่ สะท้อนถึงสภาวะอารมณ์ความรูส้ กึ ทีต่ อบโต้กนั ระหว่างกระบวนการท�ำงานสร้างสรรค์กบั สภาวะจิตตามความ รู้สึกนึกคิดและสภาวะความเป็นจริงผ่าน “ปัจจุบันขณะ”

The artist created these set of artworks by applying mindfulness of in and out-breathing which is one of Buddhism lesson. The lesson mainly focuses on meditation, consciousness, discernment and living in the moment. All of these abstract paintings show overlapped traces that represent state of mind and the truth at the certain moment.

Everything is impermanent and unavoidably changing. Collapsed family is one of the reasons of grief, gloom, depression that the artist has faced. Therefore, he turns to Buddhism lesson on the three characteristics of existence as well as aesthetics of incomplete. The sculpture represents such decay and invites the viewer to wisely think of impermanence.

The project is inspired by observing the strengthened culture in the local residence in term of lifestyle and historical art which could be faded away without proper management. The artworks aim to present a relationship between the barn and its farmers by applying the new body of knowledge, technology and contemporary art creativity. Concept, content, beliefs, rituals, traditions, and local culture are symbolized through the research process with the intention of public recognition. All of the represented artworks focus on the barn’s story, precious cultural heritage of the farmer community and their bond, value of farming, rice production and export situation.

ร่องรอยความจริงทีป่ รากฏบนผืนผ้าผะเหวดอีสานโบราณคือความเสือ่ มสลายทีส่ ามารถเชือ่ มโยงเข้าสูห่ ลักธรรมในพระพุทธศาสนาทีว่ า่ ด้วยเรือ่ งของ “ไตรลักษณ์” ที่ เกิดจากความซีดจางของสี ร่องรอยการแตกของเนือ้ สี คราบความสกปรก เป็นความเสือ่ มสลายทีเ่ กิดขึน้ ตามธรรมชาติของกาลเวลา และความเสียหายทีถ่ กู ท�ำโดยฝีมอื ของมนุษย์ ได้แก่การเขียนลายเส้นหรือสีทับลงบนงานผ้าผะเหวดโบราณ การปะผ้า การเย็บต่อผ้า และการตัดผ้า ที่ทั้งหมดเกิดขึ้นตามเหตุแห่งเวลา ที่ความเสื่อมสลายทั้งสองลักษณะให้ ความรู้สึกถึงความเป็นอนิจจัง

“ห้วงภวังค์แห่งปัญญาจากภาพผะเหวดอีสานโบราณ” เป็นโครงการสร้างสรรค์ที่ได้หยิบยืมรูปแบบทางศิลปะพื้นถิ่นอีสานที่ได้จากการคัดลอกภาพลายเส้นของ ผ้าผะเหวดอีสานโบราณเพื่อการอนุรักษ์ น�ำมาสร้างสรรค์ด้วยวิธีการเขียนซ้อนทับกันดุจความรู้สึกของความต่างของเวลาในอดีตชาติของพระพุทธเจ้าที่มีการเกิดขึ้น ตั้งอยู่ และ ดับไปทีว่ นเวียนอยูเ่ ช่นนัน้ อยูห่ ลายภพชาติ เปรียบเสมือนการขัดเกลารูปกายและจิตให้ใสสะอาดและงดงามขึน้ เพือ่ จะได้เป็นผูป้ ล่อยวางทีเ่ ป็นผลจากบุญบารมีในอดีตชาติทสี่ ง่ ผล ต่อแสงสว่างแห่งปัญญา...ในความสงบที่ดูว่างเปล่ากับความคิดและจินตนาการในห้วงของเวลามีเพียงสติที่ปลุกให้ตื่นขึ้นจาก “ภวังค์”

E-san religious faith of Buddhism manifests itself in the simplicity shown in the murals painted on cloth, while those of the Central Thailand are more elaborate. The decay shown on the Pa-wed cloth done by natural forces and man-made can be linked to the Buddhist philosophy about the Three Characteristics of Existence—Anicca, Dukka, and Anatta.

“Subconscious intelligence of Pa-wed cloth or E-san ancient paintings” is a creative project that picks up patterns of drawings from Pa-wed cloth and put them on top of each other to show the refinement of both our body and mind in order to reach the non-existence of the mind, which can wake us from the subconscious state of mind.

The Journey of Thai Craftsman is a set of mixed technique paintings that combines unique traditional Thai art that has evolved for a long time. The technique using white clay and wood assembling was inspired by the structure and the surface in Thai architecture. Additionally, Thai craftsmen in the past had invented and developed such wisdom to gain the highest benefit and effectiveness from fertile natural resources in the region, which is an important factor that contributes to creative arts and architecture. Even though many residential housing and religion-related architecture like temple or palace, has been decayed, the artistic aesthetics and the beauty of time still remains. These decays are like historical records as well as root of such precious heritage culture.

ตั้งแต่จ�ำความได้ คุณพ่อกับคุณแม่ของข้าพเจ้าท�ำงานเป็นนักการที่โรงเรียนวัดสวนพลู เขตบางรัก ซึ่งเป็นโรงเรียนในสังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร ทุกเช้าข้าพเจ้าจะตื่นเช้าเพื่อช่วย คุณพ่อคุณแม่เปิดประตูห้องเรียน และท�ำความสะอาดระเบียงหน้าห้องเรียนเป็นประจ�ำ คุณพ่อกับคุณแม่เป็นคนชอบฟังดนตรีเป็นชีวิตจิตใจ จนเมื่อถึงอายุ 4 ขวบ ทางโรงเรียนได้มีการจัด ซื้อเครื่องดนตรีไทย 1 วง ซึ่งเป็นโครงการจัดซื้อเพื่อกิจกรรมของโรงเรียนในสังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร โดยทางกรุงเทพมหานครจะจัดครูผู้ชำ� นาญจากส�ำนักสวัสดิการสังคม กรุงเทพมหานคร มาสอนตามโรงเรียนต่างๆ ด้วยความโชคดีของข้าพเจ้าที่ทางส�ำนักสวัสดิการสังคมส่งครูสุจินต์ เฟื่องฟุ้ง และครูชาตรี อบนวล มาสอนที่โรงเรียนวัดสวนพลู (ภายหลังครูทั้งสองท่านได้ด�ำรง ต�ำแหน่งหัวหน้ากองดุรยิ างค์ไทย ส�ำนักสวัสดิการสังคมในภายหลัง) แต่ขา้ พเจ้าขอสารภาพว่าในตอนนัน้ ไม่ได้มคี วามสนใจทีจ่ ะหัดดนตรีเลย ถึงแม้สว่ นตัวแล้วเป็นคนชอบร้องร�ำท�ำเพลง บาง ครั้งวงเมโลเดี้ยนเล่นเพลงมาร์ชโรงเรียน เราก็เอาฝาหม้อมาตีตามจังหวะฉาบก็ตาม แต่ที่ต้องมานั่งหัดดนตรีไทยก็เพราะว่าพี่สาวเป็นเหตุ เนื่องจากพี่สาวอยากหัดเล่นแต่ไม่ยอมหัดคนเดียว ข้าพเจ้าก็เลยโดนบังคับให้หัดกับพี่สาวไปด้วย เลยกลายเป็นว่าพี่สาวหัดระนาด ส่วนข้าพเจ้ายังเด็กเกินไป นั่งขัดสมาธิแล้วระนาดยังสูงกว่าหน้าอกอีก ครูเลยหัดให้ตีฉิ่งไปก่อน ในความคิด ตอนนั้นรู้สึกว่าดนตรีไทยสนุกดี แต่สาเหตุข้าพเจ้าที่อยากเอาจริงเอาจังกับดนตรีไทยจริงๆแล้วมาจากละครทีวีเรื่องหนึ่งชื่อเรื่อง “ระนาดเอก” น�ำแสดงโดยศรัณยู วงศ์กระจ่างและสินจัย หงษ์ไทย ซึ่งส่วนตัวข้าพเจ้าชอบบทบาทการแสดงของพี่ตั้วมาตั้งแต่ไหนแต่ไรเป็นทุนเดิม จ�ำได้ชัดเจนว่าทุกคืนจะนั่งรอดูทีวี พอได้ยินเพลงไตเติ้ลเป็นท่อนเดี่ยวระนาด (ภายหลังจึงทราบว่า เป็นท่อนน�ำของเพลงแสนค�ำนึง) จะรู้สึกตื่นเต้นที่จะได้ดูละครเรื่องที่ชอบ ข้าพเจ้าจึงได้เห็นอะไรหลายๆอย่างเกี่ยวกับดนตรีไทย เช่น วิธีการฝึกหัดแบบโบราณ เพลงต่างๆที่ข้าพเจ้าไม่เคย ได้ยินมาก่อน แต่มีอยู่เพลงหนึ่งที่ถือเป็นจุดไคลแม็กซ์ของเรื่อง นั่นก็คือบทเพลงกราวในทางเทวดาของท่านครูจางวางขาวที่หายสาบสูญไป ข้าพเจ้าก็จ�ำฝังหัวตั้งแต่นั้นมาว่าเพลงกราวในเป็น เพลงที่สุดยอดมาก คนที่จะเล่นได้จะต้องมีทักษะในการเล่นสูงและมีสมาธิเป็นอย่างดีตั้งแต่นั้นมา

หลังจากนั้นข้าพเจ้าก็ได้แรงบันดาลใจในการที่จะหัดเครื่องดนตรีอื่นๆ โดยเริ่มจากระนาดเอก ซึ่งจริงๆแล้วนักดนตรีไทยอาชีพจะหัดฆ้องวงใหญ่ก่อนเพราะท�ำนองฆ้องวงใหญ่ ถือเป็นแม่บทของเพลงต่างๆ จะเรียกการเรียนดนตรีไทยของข้าพเจ้าว่าข้ามขั้นก็ไม่ผิด พอขึ้นชั้นประถม 5 ถึงค่อยมาเริ่มเล่นฆ้องวงใหญ่และฆ้องวงเล็ก แต่เล่นโดยอาศัยจ�ำพี่ๆที่อยู่ในวง ว่าตีอย่างไร ไม่ได้มีครูมาสอน ครูชาตรีมาเห็นก็คงคิดว่าข้าพเจ้ามีแววรุ่งเสียกระมัง เลยออกปากคุยกับคุณแม่ว่าอยากได้ไปเป็นลูกศิษย์ที่บ้านครู กระทั่งเข้ามัธยมที่โรงเรียนวัดสุทธิวราราม ข้าพเจ้าก็ใช้วิชาดนตรีที่มีอยู่ติดตัว ใช้สอบโควต้านักเรียนที่มีความสามารถพิเศษ และได้เจอกับครูเสรี หริมพานิช (ภายหลังทราบว่าครูเสรีเป็นลูกศิษย์ของครูบุญยงค์ เกตุคง อดีตหัวหน้าวง ดนตรีไทย ส�ำนักสวัสดิการสังคม กรุงเทพมหานคร เช่นเดียวกับครูสุจินต์และครูชาตรี) พอเข้ามัธยมได้ ความรู้ทางดนตรีบวกกับความพร้อมด้านก�ำลังวังชาก็แข็งแกร่งขึ้น บางครั้งครูเสรีก็จะ ชวนครูสเุ ชาว์ หริมพานิช พีช่ ายของครูเสรีมาช่วยปรับวงประกวด เลยได้เรียนกับครูสเุ ชาว์ไปด้วย ขณะนัน้ มีรนุ่ พีค่ นหนึง่ ชือ่ พีส่ รุ ยิ า พรหมมา เป็นมือฆ้องวงใหญ่ทมี่ ฝี มี อื จัดจ้านคนหนึง่ ครูสเุ ชาว์ จะต่อเพลงกราวในทางฆ้องวงใหญ่ให้ แต่ว่าพี่สุริยาคงกลัวว่าต่อเพลงคนเดียวอาจจะลืมก็เลยขอร้องแกมบังคับให้ข้าพเจ้าไปต่อเพลงเป็นเพื่อน ข้าพเจ้าเลยได้เพลงเดี่ยวกราวในฆ้องวงใหญ่ ติดตัวมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้ “จากทางฆ้องวงใหญ่สู่ดนตรีร่วมสมัย”

จากหัวข้อในการพิจารณาทุนฯ ว่า “The Best of Thailand Meets the Best of the World” ท�ำให้ข้าพเจ้าเลือกหยิบใช้เพลงกราวในเป็นโจทย์ในการประพันธ์ด้วยเหตุผล ความชอบในบทเพลงเป็นการส่วนตัวตั้งแต่วัยเด็ก เมื่อพูดถึงความเป็นไทย จะมีสิ่งที่เรานึกถึงแบบไม่ต้องคิดลึกอะไรอยู่ไม่กี่อย่าง ต้มย�ำกุ้ง กระทิงแดง มวยไทย โขน ชาวต่างชาติมาถึงสนาม บินสุวรรณภูมิก็จะเห็นยักษ์ตนใหญ่ยืนต้อนรับ ไปวัดโพธิ์ก็เจอ ไปวัดแจ้งก็เจอ ข้าพเจ้าจึงคิดว่ายักษ์เป็นสัญลักษณ์แทนประเทศไทยไปโดยปริยาย ซึ่งเพลงกราวในที่ข้าพเจ้าหยิบมาใช้ในบท ประพันธ์ก็มีความเกี่ยวข้องกับยักษ์ เนื่องด้วยเพลงกราวในเป็นเพลงหน้าพาทย์ที่ใช้ประกอบการยกทัพของยักษ์เท่านั้น จึงเป็นการหยิบใช้เพลงกราวในในเชิงสัญลักษณ์แทนความเป็นชาติ ไทยในสายตาของชาวต่างชาติที่มาเยือน

ถ้าหากวิเคราะห์เพลงกราวใน เราจะเห็นโครงสร้างการประพันธ์เป็นส่วนทีเ่ ป็นโยนกับเนือ้ เพลง ค�ำว่าโยนในความหมายของศัพท์สงั คีตหมายถึงส่วนของเพลงทีผ่ ปู้ ระพันธ์สามารถ ยืดขยายได้โดยอิสระ ไม่จำ� เป็นต้องค�ำนึงถึงความสมมาตรของโครงสร้างประโยคเพลง เพราะโดยทัว่ ไปแล้วการยืดท�ำนองจากสองชัน้ เป็นสามชัน้ ในเพลงไทยส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นแบบทวีคณ ู ความ ยาวของประโยค อย่างเช่นจาก 2 เป็น 4 หรือจาก 4 เป็น 8 เป็นต้น แต่โยนไม่ได้เป็นแบบทวีคูณ โยนเป็นประโยคของเพลงที่สามารถยืดไปเท่าไหร่ก็ได้ จาก 4 อาจจะขยายออกไปเป็น 32 หรือ 64 ก็ได้ ซึ่งในเพลงกราวในประกอบไปด้วยลูกโยนจ�ำนวน 6 โยน โดยเรียงล�ำดับเป็นโยนเสียงโด เร คั่นด้วยเนื้อเพลง ต่อด้วย โยนเสียงที มี ลา ฟา จบด้วยเนื้อเพลงช่วงท้าย เมื่อได้ โครงสร้างจากการวิเคราะห์ดังกล่าวแล้วจึงเริ่มการประพันธ์โดยอ้างอิงจากท�ำนองเดี่ยวกราวในทางเครื่องมือต่างๆ อาทิ ระนาดเอก ระนาดทุ้ม ปี่ใน ฆ้องวงใหญ่ โดยที่ผู้ประพันธ์จะหยิบเอา ท�ำนองเดี่ยวเครื่องมือนั้นๆ จากท่วงท�ำนองและอารมณ์ของเพลงในกระบวนต่างๆ

การก�ำหนดอารมณ์ในช่วงต่างๆของเพลงก็ถอื เป็นหัวใจหลักของบทประพันธ์ชน้ิ นี้ ข้าพเจ้าเลือกทีจ่ ะใช้ประโยคเพลงแทนสถานการณ์และอารมณ์ตา่ งๆ บทประพันธ์แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ช่วง โดยช่วงแรกสื่อถึงอารมณ์สนุกสนาน บ่งบอกถึงวิถีชีวิตดั้งเดิมของคนไทยในช่วงสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยา เหตุที่เลือกการบอกเล่าสังคมในสมัยกรุงศรีอยุธยาเพราะว่ามีความเกี่ยวข้องหลายๆ อย่างกับรามเกียรติ์ อย่างเช่น ชือ่ อยุธยาใกล้เคียงกับชือ่ เมืองอโยธยาในรามเกียรติ์ มีการผสมผสานระหว่างวัฒนธรรมต่างชาติกบั วัฒนธรรมไทย มีการติดต่อค้าขายและเจริญสัมพันธไมตรีกบั ชาวต่างชาติ เป็นต้น ดังนั้นเราจะได้ยินการเรียบเรียงเสียงประสานในแบบดนตรีตะวันตกโผล่ขึ้นมาเป็นระยะๆ แต่ในท้ายช่วงที่หนึ่งจะบ่งบอกสัญญาณถึงภัยที่ก�ำลังคุกคามเข้ามาและส่งต่อ ไปยังท่อนที่สองซึ่งเกิดสงครามและเสียกรุงในที่สุด มีการแทรกอารมณ์เศร้าโศกโดยใช้การเลียนเทคนิคการเล่นซอสามสายแต่บรรเลงด้วยเชลโล่เพียงเครื่องเดียว ในช่วงกลางท่อนที่สองเป็น ท�ำนองเนื้อเพลงบังคับ ใช้การเดี่ยวปี่ในซึ่งอ้างอิงจากการเดี่ยวเครื่องดนตรีช่วง Cadenza ในบทประพันธ์ หลังจากนั้นจะเป็นช่วงที่เริ่มกลับมาฟื้นฟูบ้านเมืองและกลับมารื่นเริงได้อีกครั้งใน ท่อนที่สาม

“กว่าจะเสร็จบริบูรณ์”

ส�ำหรับกระบวนการท�ำงานของบทประพันธ์นแี้ บ่งเป็นระยะแรกเป็นการค้นคว้าเก็บข้อมูล ระยะทีส่ องร่างโครงสร้างบทเพลงและเก็บรายละเอียด ระยะทีส่ ามเป็นการลงมือบันทึก เสียงและมิกซ์เสียง ในการร่างบทประพันธ์และเขียนสกอร์เพลง ข้าพเจ้าใช้ซอฟท์แวร์ซิเบเลียสในการเขียนสกอร์ทั้งหมด หลังจากนั้นได้ส่งให้นักดนตรีซึ่งเป็นอาจารย์และนักศึกษาภายใน มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิตได้ลองเล่นเพื่อปรับปรุงแก้ไข แล้วจึงมาปรับแก้เป็นครั้งสุดท้ายก่อนที่จะส่งให้วงดนตรีของคณะดุริยางคศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรฝึกซ้อมและบันทึกเสียง เครื่องดนตรี

สากลที่ใช้ในเพลงนี้ประกอบด้วย ไวโอลิน เชลโล่ ฟลุ้ท คลาริเนท ทรัมเปท ทรอมโบน เฟรนช์ฮอร์น กลองทิมปานี และแทมแทม ในส่วนของเครื่องดนตรีไทย ข้าพเจ้าได้รับความอนุเคราะห์ จากอาจารย์สมนึก แสงอรุณ บรรเลงปี่ในท่อนเดี่ยว ส่วนระนาดทุ้ม ฉิ่ง กลองสองหน้า ข้าพเจ้าบรรเลงบันทึกเสียงเองทั้งหมด ซึ่งในการบันทึกเสียงเครื่องดนตรีไทย ข้าพเจ้าท�ำการบันทึก เสียงที่สตูดิโอบันทึกเสียง วิทยาลัยดนตรี มหาวิทยาลัยรังสิต ส่วนการบันทึกเสียงเครื่องดนตรีสากล บันทึกเสียงที่คณะดุริยางคศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ตลิ่งชัน

เมื่อได้ไฟล์เสียงเครื่องดนตรีทั้งหมดแล้ว ข้าพเจ้าจึงด�ำเนินการในขั้นตอนของกระบวนการหลังการผลิต ซึ่งประกอบไปด้วย 1. การเพิ่มการออกแบบเสียงในช่วงเชื่อมต่อระหว่างท่อนแรกและท่อนที่สอง โดยใช้เสียงจากแซมเปิ้ลไลบรารี่ Rise and Hit ของบริษัท Native Instruments 2. เพิ่มเสียงเครื่องเคาะในท่อนที่สอง โดยใช้เสียงจากแซมเปิ้ลไลบรารี่ Action Strike ของบริษัท Native Instruments 3. เพิ่มเสียงในความถี่ย่านต�ำ่ โดยใช้เสียงสังเคราะห์จากซินธิไซเซอร์ Tetr4 ของบริษัท Dave Smith Instruments 4. เพิ่มเสียงซินธิไซเซอร์ย่านความถี่กลางโดยใช้เสียงสังเคราะห์จากซินธิไซเซอร์ 0-Coast ของบริษัท Makenoise

สาเหตุที่ข้าพเจ้าเลือกใช้เสียงซินธิไซเซอร์นั้นเพราะว่าสถานการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นในช่วงก่อนเสียกรุงศรีอยุธยานั้นสามารถเกิดขึ้นได้ทุกยุคทุกสมัย การใช้เสียงสังเคราะห์จึงเป็นเชิง สัญลักษณ์บ่งบอกให้เห็นว่าเหตุการณ์ดังกล่าวเป็นเหตุการณ์ที่ไม่จำ� เพาะเจาะจงช่วงเวลา จากนั้นจึงน�ำเข้าสัญญาณออดิโอผ่านออดิโออินเตอร์เฟซ Universal Audio รุ่น Apollo Twin Duo ผ่านปลั๊กอินปรีแอมป์ API Vision channel strip ลงบนซอฟท์แวร์บันทึกเสียง Reaper แล้วน�ำสัญญาณออดิโอที่ได้จากการบันทึกเสียงทั้งหมดมามิกซ์เสียงโดยใช้ปลั๊กอินต่างๆดังนี้

1. Izotope Neuron ใช้เพื่อจัดการย่านความถี่ของแทร็คต่างๆเพื่อหาความถี่ที่ถูกบดบัง (Masking) ในแต่ละแทร็ค

2. Solid State Logic X-Comp ใช้เพื่อท�ำการคอมเพรสความดังของแต่ละแทร็ค

3. Slate Digital FG-Stress ใช้เพื่อท�ำการคอมเพรสความดังของแทร็คซินธิไซเซอร์และเสียงจากแซมเปิ้ลไลบรารี่ อีกทั้งเพิ่มฮาร์โมนิกในเสียงภายในแทร็คดังกล่าวเพื่อให้มี

ลักษณะเฉพาะที่เด่นชัดมากขึ้น

4. Slate Digital Virtual Tape Machine ใช้เพือ่ เพิม่ ความอุน่ ของเสียง ซึง่ เป็นสิง่ ทีเ่ ทคโนโลยีการบันทึกเสียงแบบดิจติ อลขาดหายไป การใช้ปลัก๊ อินตัวนีจ้ งึ เป็นการจ�ำลองสภาพ

เสียงผ่านเทป ผลลัพธ์จึงได้เสียงที่ใกล้เคียงกับการบันทึกเสียงแบบอะนาล็อกมากขึ้น

5. Solid State Logic Flexverb ใช้เพื่อจ�ำลองสภาพรีเวิร์บเพื่อให้เสียงในแต่ละแทร็คฟังดูมีมิติมากขึ้น

เมือ่ มิกซ์เสียงเสร็จเรียบร้อยแล้วก็ทำ� การส่งออกสัญญาณออดิโอเพือ่ ให้ได้ไฟล์สเตอริโอเพือ่ น�ำไปท�ำการมาสเตอริง่ เป็นขัน้ ตอนสุดท้าย ซึง่ ขัน้ ตอนในการมาสเตอริง่ ในบทประพันธ์ ชิ้นนี้มีดังต่อไปนี้

1. ใช้ปลั๊กอิน Fabfilter Pro-Q 2 เพื่อท�ำการเพิ่มลดย่านความถี่เพื่อให้งานฟังชัดเจนขึ้น

2. ใช้ปลั๊กอิน Solid State Logic X-Comp เพื่อจัดการความดังโดยรวม

3. ใช้ปลัก๊ อิน Weiss Mastering Maximizer เพือ่ ให้เสียงมีความดังเต็มที่ ไม่เบาจนเกินไปเมือ่ ฟังกับอุปกรณ์ขยายเสียง ซึง่ ต่างจากสภาพการฟังในสตูดโิ อเพราะเฮดรูมแตกต่างกัน

4. ใช้ปลั๊กอิน Slate Digital Virtual Tape Machine เพื่อจ�ำลองเสียงผ่านเทป เช่นเดียวกับขั้นตอนการมิกซ์

ประดิษฐ์ แสงไกร PRADIT SAENGKRAI Ogre Dance : Thainess-based Western Music Composition “From Childhood Memory to Opus”

From the memories of my childhood, my parents had worked as a janitor at the Wat Suan Plu School, Bangrak District, subject to Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. I usually woke up early morning to help my parents open the classroom doors and clean the classroom terraces routinely. My parents are music lovers. At the age of 4, the school bought a Thai musical instrument, a purchase for school activity project subject to the Department of Education. In musical education at the schools, a number of senior musical teachers from the Social Welfare Office had been arranged by the Department of Education. Fortunately, I was taught in the music subject by Teacher Suchin Fuengfung and Teacher Chatri Oabnual. (Later, both teachers served as Head of the Royal Thai Music Division, Social Welfare Office). I confessed that at that time I paid no attention to learn music in spite that I personally loved singing and dancing. Sometimes the melody band played the school marsh; I took a pot lid to make percussion in the accompaniment. Finally, I attended to practice Thai music because I was tempted by my sister, who was looking for friend to practice music as she did not wish to practice music alone. Implicitly, I was forced to learn music together with my sister. My sister practiced the xylophone while I was too young to even sit at the front of the instrument that it was higher than my chest. Inevitably, I learnt playing cymbals.

I thought at that time that Thai music was fun. However, one deep reason for my serious attention to learn Thai music came from the inspired TV series titled “Thai Lead Xylophone” (Ranat Ake), starred by the actor Saranyu Wongkrachang, and the actress Sinchai Hongthai as I originally liked the role of the actor for a long time.

I remembered that at every night I would sit and wait for watching TV, and I was so excited to hear the title melody in the Xylophone film (I later knew that it is the Intro of the “Saen Kam Nueng” song). I was usually excited to view the TV series I liked. I’ve learnt many things about Thai music, for examples, ancient-style practice and songs I have never heard before. However, one song in my opinion could be considered the “climax of the story” is “Krao Nnai of Angels” owned by Teacher Chang Wang Khao that was lost.

Later, I was aroused to learn the different kinds of the musical instruments. I started at the xylophone. Thai professional musicians typically learn the big gong first since it is viewed the ‘master of music’. Not wrong saying that my Thai music learning had been of abrupt change. At the age of Prathom 5, I started to play the big gong (Khawngwong Yai) and small gong (Khawngwong Lek), I learned by the back door; remembering and observing the seniors, not taught by the teachers. I was met by Teacher Chatri who by chance glimpsed at my talent while I was performing. He later talked with my mom that he was wishful to instruct me in music at his home. At the age of high school student at the Wat Sutthivararam School, I won the admission quota in music talent category, where I met Teacher Seri Harimpanich (later I knew that Seri Harimpanich was a music student of Teacher Boonyong Kaedkong, former Thai band leader, Social Welfare Office Bangkok, like Teacher Suchin and Teacher Chatri). At my high school, my music mastery and self-control were strengthened. I occasionally was persuaded by Teacher Suchao Harimpanich, brother of Teacher Seri, to share the contest band instrumentation. I at that time learned and was taught by Teacher Suchao. Meanwhile, one of my seniors named Suriya Promma, a skilled musician of the big gong, joined practicing the Krao Nai melody for the big gong, as instructed by Teacher Suchao, I was begged with force by Suriya to join practicing to help increase his memorizing for the lyrics. Consequently, my music skills in Krao Nai songs for the big gong have been improved until today.

“From the Big Gong to Contemporary Music”

The topic of the grant “The Best of Thailand Meets the Best of the World” pushes me to make use of Krao Nai melody as a proposition on musical composition for reason of own preference since my childhood. With respect to Thainess, a few common things come into mind; for examples, the menu like ‘Tom Yum Goong’ (Thai Tom Yum Soup Recipe), red bull, Muay Thai, (Khon, and the emerald giant at the Suvarnabhumi Airport, the foreign visitors upon their arrival would observe the remarkable guardian giants standing in symbolic greeting, as well as two most famous emerald giants at Wat Pho and Wat Chang. The giant symbolizes ‘Thailand’ implicitly. The Krao Nai song I adopted in the musical verse was relatively associated with the giant because the Krao Nai is a kind of ‘Na Part’ song used in supporting the troop movement of the giants only, so it is a symbolic song representing ‘Thainess’ in the sight of visiting foreigners.

In the analysis of the Krao Nai song, the structure of musical composition is cast with lyrics. The term ‘cast’ according to music is defined as a passage of the song that can be expanded freely by the composer regardless of the symmetry of the sentence structure; generally from 2 to 3 layers of rhythmic pattern in most Thai songs to multiple the length of the sentence, for examples, from 2 to 4, or from 4 to 8, etc. However, casting is not multiple, casting represents the musical sentence that can be expanded unlimitedly, for instances; from 4 to 32 or 64. The Krao Nai song consists of melodies in six modes proceeding from musical notation ‘C’, ‘D’, and interposed with lyric, followed by the notation E, F, G, A, B respectively and ended by lyrics by the end. As to analytic composition structure above-mentioned, it commences with referring to the Krao Nai melodies in Thai music classical instruments such as Ranat Ake, Ranat Toom, oboe, big gong, wherein a single melody in such instrument is picked from among melodies and mood of the song in the procedures by the composer.

Differentiating emotion in the different phrases of lyric verses is a key to musical composition herein which I chose the music sentence rather than situation and mood. The musical composition is divided into 3 phrases. Firstly, it expresses joyful mood, indicating the traditional way of life of the Thai people during the Ayutthaya period. Ayutthaya period was a selected period of time to narrate the social events in the time period that many things were in common closely to that of the Ramayana, for instances, the name of “Ayutthaya” is similar to the name of Ayothaya City in Ramayana, the blending of western and Thai cultures, trades and friendship with the foreign countries, etc. Obviously, the remix of western music appeared at intervals. Secondly, at the end of the second phrase represents the invading threats, emerging war and discomfiture eventually, melancholy mood intervened using the fiddle playing technique, produced by the cello alone.

The middle second phrase expresses a mandatory melody, produced by a single flute, referred to the single instrument in the Cadenza period in the composition.

Afterward, it is a period of restoration and recommencement to the high spirit in the third phrase.

“Effort to Success�

In present, the musical composition process is divided into three distinct phases. Firstly, collecting a series of data, secondly, outlining song structure and checking-up in details, and thirdly, sound recording and mixing. To compose music and scores, the Sibelius software program was adopted to write all scores and submitted to a number of musicians who are teachers and the college students at Rangsit University to try and improve. The final adjustment was conducted prior to forwarding the musical band of the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University for rehearsing and sound recording. The universal musical instruments used in this song include violin, cello, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, French horn, Timpani drum and Tim Tamm whereas Thai musical instruments, sponsored by Teacher Somchai Saengaroon performing flute in a single passage, while musical instruments such as Ranat Toom, cymbals, and two-faced drums, I myself did performing recording wholly. In sound recording for Thai musical instruments, sound recording was carried out at a recording studio of the Music College, Rangsit University while sound recording for the occidental music instruments was conducted at the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University.

Once the completion of all audio files, the post-production process was carried out as follows;

1. Supplement sound design at the joint between the first and second passage, using audio from Sample Library, the Rise and Hit of the Native Instruments.

2. Add percussion in the second passage, using audio from the Sample Library, Action Strike of the Native Instruments

3. Add low-frequency sound, using synthesized sounds from Tetr4 Synthesizer of the Dave Smith Instruments

4. Add the mid-range synthesized sound, using the 0-Coast synthesizer of the Makenoise.

The reason for using synthesizer included that the situation taken place before losing Ayutthaya may happen from time to time and in any period. The symbolic use of synthetic sounds indicates non-temporal specific events. The audio input was plugged through the audio interface Universal Audio, Apollo Twin Duo model via amp plug-in the API Vision channel strip onto the Reaper audio recorder software, and audio signal output ware mixed using the following plugins:

1. Izotope Neuron is used to manage the frequency bands of different tracks to determine the masking frequencies on each of the tracks.

2. Solid State Logic X-Comp is used to compress the volume of each track.

3. Slate Digital FG-Stress is used to compress the volume of tracks, synthesizers, and sounds from the Sample Library, and to add harmonics to the sound on the tracks to make it more specific.

4. Slate Digital Virtual Tape Machine is used to increase the warmth of the sound. It is what digital voice recording technology is missing. Using this plug-in is to simulate the sound condition via the tape. The outcome is that the sound obtained is closer to analog sound recording.

5. Solid State Logic Flexverb is used to simulate a reverb state so that the sound of each track sounds more dimensional.

Once mixing is complete, the audio signal is transmitted to acquire the stereo file for final mastering. The process for mastering in this composition is as follows.

1. Use the Fabfilter Pro-Q 2 plugin to increase the frequency band for clearer listening.

2. Use the Solid State Logic X-Comp plugin to manage the overall volume.

3. Use the Weiss Mastering Maximizer plugin to ensure full volume, not too light when listening with the amplifier. It is different from listening in the studio because the headroom is different.

4. Use Slate Digital Virtual Tape Machine to simulate tape sound, similar to the mixing process.

มนุษย์เราสามารถรับรู้ประสบการณ์และเล่าเรื่องราวต่างๆจากความทรงจ�ำได้ ผ่านตัวตนที่ถูกแบ่งออกเป็นสองมิติ มิติแรกคือตัวตนที่รับรู้ ประสบการณ์ ส่วนมิติที่สองคือตัวตนที่เก็บความทรงจ�ำ โดยตัวตนทั้งสองมิติดังกล่าวมีความแตกต่างและความเชื่อมโยงซึ่งกันและกันดังนี้

ตัวตนทีร่ บั รูป้ ระสบการณ์จะสามารถรับรูส้ งิ่ ต่างๆทีเ่ กิดขึน้ อยูใ่ นชัว่ ขณะปัจจุบนั เท่านัน้ และในชัว่ ขณะปัจจุบนั ทีจ่ ติ คนเรารับรูจ้ ะมีความยาว เพียง 3 วินาที ก็จะเลือนหายไปรับรู้สิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นใหม่อย่างต่อเนื่อง นั่นก็หมายถึงว่าประสบการณ์ต่างๆที่รับรู้มาตลอดช่วงชีวิตคนเราพร้อมที่จะสูญหาย ตลอดเวลา แต่ที่คนเราสามารถบอกเล่าเรื่องราวประสบการณ์ที่ผ่านมาได้ ผ่านมิติตัวตนที่เก็บความทรงจ�ำซึ่งท�ำหน้าที่เก็บและจดจ�ำเรื่องราวต่างๆของ ชีวิตไว้ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเรื่องที่ดีหรือเลวร้าย อันขึ้นอยู่กับล�ำดับของการเปลี่ยนแปลง และที่ส�ำคัญคือตอนจบของเหตุการณ์ต่างๆ ถูกบันทึกให้เก็บไว้อยู่ใน ความทรงจ�ำซึ่งมีผลส�ำคัญต่อความคิด ความอ่านและการตัดสินใจในเรื่องต่างๆ

จากข้อมูลดังกล่าว ท�ำให้ศลิ ปินสนใจและต้องการทดลองสร้างสรรค์เรือ่ งเล่าทีไ่ ด้มาจากมิตขิ องตัวตนทีร่ บั รูป้ ระสบการณ์ไปพร้อมกับการรือ้ ค้นมิตติ วั ตนทีเ่ ก็บความทรงจ�ำ ผ่านบุคคลชายขอบทีม่ ชี อื่ ว่าลุงยาว โดยศิลปินสนใจความเฉพาะตัวของลุงยาว อันเป็นภาพแทนของคนชายขอบพลัดถิน่ ที่เดินทางพเนจรจากแดนอีสานบ้านเกิดไปอาศัยอยู่ในอ�ำเภอเบตง ดินแดนที่อยู่ใต้สุดของประเทศไทยมาตลอดค่อนชีวิต

ลุงยาวมีตัวตนความเป็นเฉพาะของคนรากอีสานสูง ประสบการณ์และความทรงจ�ำตลอดช่วงชีวิตของลุงยาวที่อาศัยอยู่ในดินแดนทางภาค ใต้ที่เรียกว่าบ้านหลังสุดท้ายเต็มไปด้วยเรื่องเล่าอันน่าสนใจ ทั้งที่ยังจดจ�ำได้หรืออาจลืมเลือนซ่อนเร้นอยู่ ที่จะท�ำให้ตัวศิลปินได้รื้อค้นและถ่ายทอดให้ เห็นถึงประเด็น เรื่องราวต่างๆมากมาย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นเรื่องเล่าเชิงประวัติศาสตร์ทางพื้นที่ วิถีชีวิตและวัฒนธรรมของผู้คน พื้นถิ่นที่หลากหลาย ผ่านการ สร้างสรรค์ศิลปะด้วยสื่อภาพถ่ายและวิดีโอในลักษณะสารคดีเชิงทดลอง

A human perceives the experiences and associates their memory to stories through the 2-dimensional self; experience self and memory self.

The perceived two-dimensional self are different and link each other as follows.

Our perceived experience happens and lasts in the glimpse just 3 seconds at the present moment and it perishes to perceive a new finding continuously; that is to say; the perceived experiences throughout our life are subject to the impermanence. However, all existences and being could be told the perceived experiences through the memory that serves as a reservoir of the stories of the life; whether be good or bad, depending on the transformative sequences. Importantly, the events and experiences retained in the memory have a significant effect on our recognition and decision-making.

As such, some artists have paid attention to create a story through their experience self and memory self, in the present case of Uncle Yaw, a marginal people wandering from his northeastern hometown to reside in Bae Tong District, the southernmost of Thailand for more than half of the life.

Uncle Yaw has been characterized of highly-ethnic identity of the northeastern or known as ‘Esan’ people. His experience and memories throughout his life he had experienced in the southern region, or probably known as ‘his last home’ filled with touching stories; both existing and forgotten remembrance that he retrieved and conveyed over the multiple issues and stories; including; historical and geographic stories, people’s way of life and cultures, diverse surroundings through the artistic creativity and graphics and video media in the experimental documentary.

Jigsaw Puzzle : WARS

Jigsaw is a puzzle consisting of a picture cut into various pieces and shapes that have to be fitted together. When the leaders of the empowered countries argue on the use of nuclear weapons, the fear of the World War III and distorted decision making of such leaders occurs. The audiences are invited to complete the puzzle with the images of “bomb”, “slaughter”, “corpses”, “dead babies”, “immigrants” etc., as they like it. The question that the artworks want to convey is how the audience would feel when they are the one who complete the puzzle that represent “human insanity”, “self-destruction” and “never-ending war”.

ข้าพเจ้าได้ตระหนักถึงปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นของสังคมปัจจุบัน ที่เป็นเหตุทำ� ให้เกิดสภาวะการล้มสลายทางจิตวิญญาณของสังคม ข้าพเจ้าก็ประสบปัญหา สภาวะความทุกข์ทางจิตใจที่เกิดขึ้นจากปัญหาภายในครอบครัว การหย่าร้าง หนี้สิน ยาเสพติด การสูญเสียบิดา ที่เป็นเสาหลักของครอบครัว ส่งผลกระทบต่อ สภาวะจิตใจ ท�ำให้ขาดทีพ่ งึ่ พิงทางจิตใจ สร้างความล้มสลายต่อสภาพจิตใจของข้าพเจ้าและครอบครัวเป็นอย่างมาก เป็นเหตุให้ขา้ พเจ้าหาทีพ่ งึ่ ทางจิตใจในหนทาง ทีผ่ ดิ เช่น สิง่ มอมเมาต่าง ๆ ส่งผลการกระท�ำที่เกิดจากขาดสติ ปัญญา ใช้อารมณ์เหนือเหตุผล ขาดการยับยั้งชั่งใจในการด�ำเนินชีวิต เป็นเหตุให้เกิดปัญหาต่าง ๆ เข้ามาในชีวิต ท�ำให้ข้าพเจ้าต้องตกอยู่ในสภาวะห้วงแห่งความทุกข์และความเจ็บปวดทางจิตใจอย่างมาก เกิดสภาวะจิตใจที่โศกเศร้า หงอยเหงา สู่ความสับสน วุ่นวาย ฟุ้งซ่าน จากเหตุที่กล่าวมาข้างต้น ท�ำให้ข้าพเจ้าสนใจศึกษาธรรมะ เพื่อระงับความทุกข์ทางจิตใจ และเริ่มฝึกการเรียนรู้ธรรมะในเชิงปฏิบัติ คือการเจริญ สติแบบอานาปานสติ “อานาปานสติ แปลว่า สติกำ� หนดทีธ่ รรมอย่างใดอย่างหนึง่ อยูท่ กุ ลมหายใจเข้าออก” เพือ่ ยกระดับจิตใจทีเ่ สือ่ มสลายให้กลับมาเข้มแข็ง ต่อสู้ กับปัญหาชีวิตอย่างมีสติปัญญาในทิศทางที่ถูกต้อง ตามหลักการเจริญสติของพุทธศาสนา เพื่อให้เกิดความสงบทางจิตใจและเกิดสติ ปัญญา ในการแก้ไขปัญหา ต่าง ๆ ทั้งในชีวิตและหน้าที่การงาน

จากประเด็นปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นในสังคมปัจจุบันและเกิดขึ้นกับตัวข้าพเจ้าเอง เป็นที่มาของการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปะในโครงการหัวข้อ “บันทึกร่อง รอยสภาวะแห่งจิต” เป็นไปเพือ่ การยกระดับจิตใจให้เกิดความสงบและความงดงามทางจิตใจ เพือ่ ให้เข้าใจในสิง่ ทีเ่ กิดขึน้ ในสภาวะสังคมปัจจุบนั และสภาวะจิตใจ อย่างมีสติปัญญา ตามหลักแนวทางการเจริญสติของพุทธปรัชญา

“พุทธปรัชญาคืออะไร” ค�ำตอบส�ำหรับค�ำถามนี้ก็คือ “พุทธปรัชญา ได้แก่ หลักค�ำสอนเกี่ยวกับความจริง (สัจธรรม) และหลักปฏิบัติ (จริยธรรม) บาง ประการของพระพุทธศาสนาทีน่ ำ� มาศึกษาวิเคราะห์ดว้ ยการใช้เหตุผลตามวิธกี ารของปรัชญา” ตามค�ำนิยามนีห้ มายความว่า พุทธปรัชญาจะจ�ำกัดวงอยูใ่ นส่วนที่ เป็นศาสนธรรมของพุทธศาสนาเท่านั้น”

Traces of the State of Mind

Today’s social condition has been preoccupied with materialism. Today’s world of advanced communication technology and violence problems has weakened the spiritual and moral health. In a similar manner, I have suffered from psychological distress as resulted of the lack of mental dependence, the collapse of mental state and family problems that I turned to find a mental support inaccurately that leads to the persistent life problems, consequently I was immersed in a state of suffering and mental illness, depression, conflict, and a lack of consciousness and wisdom eventually.

For all above-mentioned reasons, I decided to examine Buddhist dhamma to alleviate my mental suffering. I started at the “Anapanasati” Buddhist meditation practice. The term “Anapanasati” refers to as ‘the mindfulness and feeling the sensation by the movement of the breath; inhalation and exhalation’ to bring about mental peace and mindfulness in solving problems in life and works.

สรรพสิ่งที่ปรากฏรูปในสากลจักรวาลนี้ ล้วนตกอยู่ภายใต้อ�ำนาจแห่งความทุกข์และความเสื่อมอย่างเสมอภาคโดยไม่อาจหลีกเลี่ยงได้ ทุกสรรพสิ่ง ต้องเผชิญกับสภาพการเกิดและการดับสูญอย่างไม่มีวันจบสิ้น เฉกเช่นเดียวกับวิถีชีวิตของข้าพเจ้าที่ไม่อาจหลีกพ้นด้วย ข้าพเจ้าต้องพานพบกับความปรารถนา ที่ไม่เคยได้รับการตอบสนองอย่างพึงพอใจ ยิ่งมานะบากบั่นก็ยิ่งพบเจอแต่อุปสรรค ความหวังถูกโชคชะตาบดขยี้อย่างไร้ความปรานี ความผิดพลาดอันเนื่องมา จากความอับโชคที่มีอยู่ตลอดชีวิต สร้างความทุกข์ทรมานให้เพิ่มพูนขึ้นเรื่อยๆ นี่คือโศกนาฏกรรมแห่งชีวิตของข้าพเจ้า ชีวิตที่ต้องเผชิญกับความทุกข์และความ เจ็บปวดตลอดเวลาทั้งจากเหตุปัจจัยภายนอกและภายในตัวของข้าพเจ้าเอง

การได้ประจักษ์แจ้งในธรรมะของพระพุทธองค์ น�ำมาซึ่งการตื่นรู้และมีความพยายามที่จะขจัดอวิชชาเหล่านี้ให้ออกไปให้สิ้นจากตัวข้าพเจ้า แต่การ บรรลุสู่เป้าหมายนี้หาใช่หนทางที่เรียบง่ายไม่ ด้วยข้าพเจ้ายังคงเป็นปุถุชน ผู้ยังไม่สามารถควบคุมชีวิตที่เต็มไปด้วยกิเลสตัณหาได้ อย่างไรก็ตามข้าพเจ้าก็ยังคง มองเห็นความหวังอันสุกสว่างท่ามกลางดวงจิตที่มืดบอดด้วยอวิชชาของตน

พระธรรมค�ำสัง่ สอนของพระพุทธเจ้าได้ชที้ างสว่างและความสงบให้กบั ข้าพเจ้า ปลุกจิตวิญญาณของข้าพเจ้าให้ตนื่ ไปสูก่ ารตระหนักรูถ้ งึ ความจริงแท้ อันไม่เที่ยงของสรรพสิ่งว่าทุกสิ่งล้วนเป็นสิ่งสมมติที่ถูกปรุงแต่งและบัญญัติขึ้นด้วยโลกธรรม ไม่มีสิ่งใดเลยที่มีอยู่เอง เป็นอยู่เองโดยไม่ต้องอิงแอบ อาศัยสิ่งอื่นๆ สรรพสิ่งต้องอาศัยสิ่งอื่นเพื่อเกิดขึ้นและเป็นไป เมื่อสิ่งเหล่านั้นไม่มีแก่นแท้ เราจึงหาควรไปยึดมั่นถือมั่นกับมายาคติเหล่านี้ไม่

การใช้หลักพุทธศาสนาขจัดอวิชชานั้น ข้าพเจ้ายึดหลักแห่งไตรลักษณ์ในการพิจารณาความเป็นไปของสรรพสิ่งเพื่อให้รู้แจ้งว่าทุกสิ่งนั้นเป็นอนิจจัง คือความไม่เที่ยงแท้ เปลี่ยนแปรตลอดเวลา ความทุกข์คือการไม่อาจคงทนอยู่ในสภาพเดิมได้ และอนัตตาคือการที่ไม่สามารถบังคับบัญชาให้เป็นไปตามใจและ ความไร้ตัวตน

หลักแห่งไตรลักษณ์ของพระพุทธเจ้าชี้ทางสว่างให้มนุษย์รู้เท่าทันกระแสเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลก หัดท�ำให้ใจหนักแน่นมั่นคง รู้จักปล่อยวางไม่ยึดมั่นถือ มัน่ อันเป็นหลักแห่งการด�ำรงอยูบ่ นโลกนีไ้ ด้อย่างมีความสุข ผูท้ ปี่ รารถนาพ้นทุกข์ได้ ก็ตอ้ งอาศัยการพิจารณาไตรลักษณ์เป็นทีต่ งั้ เมือ่ รูแ้ จ้งในไตรลักษณ์แล้ว ย่อม น�ำไปสู่ญาณทัศนะ อันเป็นเครื่องท�ำลายอวิชชาและน�ำไปสู่หนทางแห่งการดับทุกข์ได้

ข้าพเจ้าในฐานะศิลปิน ซึ่งมองเห็นทางหลุดพ้นด้วยหลักแห่งไตรลักษณ์ แต่ยังไม่อาจบรรลุผลได้ ความคิดในการปฏิบัติธรรมะโดยน�ำความรู้แจ้งเป็น คบไฟแห่งปัญญาสูค่ วามดับทุกข์ยงั อยูบ่ นหนทางทีย่ าวไกล แต่ขา้ พเจ้าหาได้ยอ่ ท้อไม่ ข้าพเจ้าจึงตัง้ ใจจะใช้ทกั ษะปัญญา และความสามารถทางศิลปะของข้าพเจ้า ในการสร้างสรรค์งานประติมากรรมที่สามารถสื่อสะท้อนหลักแห่งไตรลักษณ์โดยผ่านความเสื่อมสลาย เพื่อให้ผู้ชมบรรลุถึงปัญญาและมุ่งปฏิบัติไปสู่การดับทุกข์ เช่นเดียวกับที่ข้าพเจ้าก�ำลังพยายาม ดังนั้นการสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะของข้าพเจ้า จึงเปรียบเสมือนการปฏิบัติธรรมโดยใช้กฎแห่งไตรลักษณ์เป็นปัญญาน�ำสู่ความ ส�ำเร็จคือการดับทุกข์

เนื้อหาในการท�ำงานของข้าพเจ้าคือ การพยายามใช้ความเสื่อมสลายแห่งสรรพสิ่งเป็นกุญแจไขน�ำไปสู่ปัญญาซึ่งอาจจะดูขัดกับหลักทฤษฎีเรื่องของ ความงามหรือสุนทรียศาสตร์ตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบันนี้ ส่วนใหญ่มุ่งเน้นความงามและความสมบูรณ์แบบ ขจัดความไม่งามหรือความบกพร่อง เชิดชูความงดงาม ที่นำ� ไปสู่ความรู้สึกอันสุนทรีย์เพื่อสร้างความพึงพอใจในรูปลักษณ์

ดังนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงมุ่งเน้นการแสวงหารูปทรงที่สามารถสื่อสะท้อนความสลดสังเวชใจ อันเกิดจากความผันแปรไม่แน่นอนของทุกสรรพสิ่งในโลก ความ เปลี่ยนแปลงจากความสมบูรณ์แบบทั้งความงามของรูปทรงอันเป็นสิ่งชื่นบานของมนุษย์เมื่อได้เห็น กลับตาลปัตรเป็นการเสื่อมสลายของรูปทรงที่งดงาม ไปสู่รูป ทรงทีก่ ำ� ลังเสือ่ มสลายผุพงั อันสามารถกระทบใจคนให้รสู้ กึ สลดสังเวช และน�ำไปสูห่ นทางแห่งการพิจารณาความจริงแท้แน่นอนของทุกสรรพสิง่ ทีอ่ ยูใ่ นค�ำสัง่ สอน อันเกิดจากความรู้แจ้งของพระพุทธเจ้าซึ่งก็คือไตรลักษณ์นั่นเอง

ดังที่ได้กล่าวมาแล้วข้างต้นว่า การสร้างงานศิลปะของข้าพเจ้าในครั้งนี้เปรียบประดุจการปฏิบัติธรรม เนื้อหาการแสดงออกที่ข้าพเจ้ามุ่งเน้นคือการ พิจารณาความเสื่อมสลายของสรรพสิ่งเพื่อชี้ให้เห็นโทษแห่งรูป (อาทีนวะ) การมองเห็นเป็นธรรมดา (ตถตา) อันน�ำไปสู่ความเห็นชอบ (สัมมาทิฐิ) ซึ่งเป็นหนทาง ทีจ่ ะน�ำไปสูก่ ารหลุดพ้นจากทุกข์ โดยการละวางการยึดมัน่ ถือมัน่ ในทุกข์ ใช้สติเปิดดวงตาให้ตระหนักรูเ้ พือ่ จะได้มองเห็นปัญญา โดยผ่านคุณค่าทางความงามของ รูปทรงที่ก�ำลังค่อยๆเสื่อมสลาย

ดังนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงใคร่สร้างผลงานศิลปะที่เป็นสื่อสะท้อนความเป็นอนิจจัง ทุกขัง และอนัตตา ของทุกสรรพสิ่งและข้าพเจ้าใคร่จะให้ผลงานศิลปะจุด ประกายการหยั่งรู้ และประสบการณ์แห่งการเข้าถึงธรรมะ เป็นสะพานแห่งปัญญาที่เชื่อมสิ่งที่มองเห็นเข้ากับสิ่งที่มองไม่เห็น ให้ไตรลักษณ์แสดงตัวตนออกมา ด้วยจิตแห่งความสังเวชของผู้ชม ที่เกิดการหยั่งรู้โดยผ่านการมองเห็นความเสื่อมสลายแห่งรูปที่ปรากฏในผลงานศิลปะของข้าพเจ้า

The Fall

All things appear in the universe are subject to the power of suffering and degeneration equally and inevitably. Likewise, on the way of my life, I have experienced the desires that have never been fulfilled with satisfaction. The more effort I have exerted, the more difficulties I have faced. My hope was crushed in the fate ruthlessly. The mistakes rested in the persistent misfortunes have multiplied my suffering from time to time.

I have adhered to the “Three Characteristics of Existence” instructed by the Buddha as the guide to the enlightenment that all existences and beings are subject to the impermanence, suffering, and non-self. I learn to release from suffering and live happily. The individuals who wish to be free from suffering shall hold the “Three Characteristics of Existence” as the base. The grasp of the Three Characteristics of Existence enlightens our insight, dissolving the ignorance, leading to the way that the suffering is extinguished.

I have been of earnest attention to producing the creative sculptures that reflect the principle of “Three Characteristics of Existence” through the destruction in the way that viewers have recognized the wisdom and practice to the way of extinguishing the suffering as I have been trying. My artistic creativity is like practicing Dhamma with the adherence to the Three Characteristics of Existence as wisdom to the extinguishment of the suffering. Unlike the aesthetics, from the past to the present, focuses on the sensory perception of beauty and perfection in order to eliminate the ineffectiveness or defect, emphasizing the sentiment and taste, and the appreciation of beauty and appearance.

ประเด็นเรื่องศิลปะและพื้นที่สาธารณะในประเทศไทยนับเป็นอีกกิจกรรมหนึ่งซึ่งแสดงถึงบทบาทของการเชื่อมโยง บริบทของศิลปะกับชุมชน ศิลปะ กับสังคมและศิลปะกับผู้คนให้ความใกล้ชิดสนิทขึ้น ซึ่งนับเป็นบริบทที่ส�ำคัญต่อกระบวนการ พัฒนาด้านสุนทรียภาพและความงดงามทางพุทธิปัญญาอันจะส่งผลต่อการพัฒนาและยกระดับจิตใจของผู้คน ชุมชน สังคม และประเทศชาติในทางสร้างสรรค์สืบไป พื้นที่ที่ข้าพเจ้าอาศัยอยู่ มีรากฐานศิลปวัฒนธรรมที่แข็งแกร่ง เป็นเอกลักษณ์ที่แสดง ถึงชุมชนท้องถิ่นชนบทหลายด้าน เช่น วิถีชีวิต ความเป็นอยู่ภายในท้องถิ่น และศิลปกรรมโบราณซึ่งนับวันจะสูญสลายเนื่องจาก ไม่มีการจัดการอย่างเหมาะสม ข้าพเจ้าต้องการน�ำเสนอเรื่องราวความผูกพันของยุ้งข้าวกับวิถีชีวิตชาวนาโดยน�ำเอาองค์ความรู้ และวิทยาการสมัยใหม่ทไี่ ด้จากการศึกษาวิจยั มาพัฒนาและสร้างสรรค์ น�ำเสนอด้วยรูปแบบสัญลักษณ์ทถี่ กู ก�ำหนดเป็นภาพแทน ในด้านเนือ้ หา แนวคิด คติความเชือ่ พิธกี รรม ตลอดจนประเพณี วัฒนธรรมท้องถิน่ ให้เกิดการยอมรับสูส่ าธารณชนโดยการศึกษา ค้นคว้าข้อมูลจากสภาพวิถชี วี ติ ชาวนาทีม่ คี วามผูกพันกับยุง้ ข้าวในท้องถิน่ ทีข่ า้ พเจ้าอาศัยอยู่ ทัง้ นี้ การก�ำหนดรหัสและสัญลักษณ์ ได้พยายามเสนอถึงเนื้อหาโดยใช้สัญลักษณ์ยุ้งข้าว รูปปั้นชาวนา และเมล็ดข้าว เป็นภาพแทนเรื่องราวที่เกี่ยวข้องกับคุณค่าของ ผืนแผ่นดินที่มีความสัมพันธ์กับวิถีชีวิตชาวนา ผ่านรูปแบบศิลปะการจัดวางกับพื้นที่ หรือ “Land Art” ณ ทุ่งนาบ้านสวายจีก ต.สวายจีก อ.เมือง จ.บุรีรัมย์ เพื่อแสดงให้เห็นว่า ผืนแผ่นดินไทยคือ อู่ข้าวอู่น�้ำของโลก

บริเวณผืนนาแห่งนี้เป็นพื้นที่ ที่มีความอุดมสมบูรณ์ด้วยทรัพยากรแร่ธาตุจากการละลายตัวของหินลาวาภูเขาไฟ ท�ำให้การเพาะปลูกข้าวได้งอกงามและเจริญเติบโตอย่างสมบูรณ์ นอกจากนี้ยังมีแหล่งน�ำ้ ที่อยู่ขนาบข้างทั้ง 2 ด้าน คือด้านทิศ เหนือ ได้แก่ ล�ำห้วยตลาด ที่ไหลหล่อเลี้ยงผ่านหลายหมู่บ้าน ด้านทิศใต้คือคลองส่งน�้ำชลประทาน ซึ่งเป็นทางน�ำ้ โบราณที่ไหล เวียนผ่านหลายหมูบ่ า้ น ท�ำให้ผนื ดินบริเวณนีเ้ กิดความชุม่ ฉ�ำ่ อุดมสมบูรณ์ตลอดทัง้ ปี ท�ำให้ชาวนาบ้านสวายจีก ได้ทำ� นาข้าวหล่อ เลี้ยงผู้คนทั้งในไทยและต่างประเทศมาอย่างยาวนาน เหมาะสมกับเป็นพื้นที่ “อู่ข้าว อู่นำ�้ ” ของผืนแผ่นดินไทย

Greater Land of Rice

The issues of arts and public zones in Thailand are an activity that represents the interlinking role of the art and community, arts and society, and arts and people in close proximity. It is considered a significant context for the process of aesthetics development and cognitive beauty that will contribute to the development and elevation of the minds of people, communities, societies and the nation in a creative way. I would like to present the story of the barn involvement and the way of life of the farmers by applying the knowledge elements and modern science derived from the research to development and creativities, presented in the symbolic patterns that are designated as images for content, concepts, beliefs, rituals, and traditions, local culture has been recognized by the public. In the present study, the field concerning the barn involvement and the way of life of the local farmers was investigated. Encoding and symbols were conducted to present the content; the symbol of the barn, farmer portrait, and rice grain, representing the story related to the value of the land that is related to the farmer’s way of life through the layout or “Land Art”.

การค้นหาความจริงของชีวิตอาจไม่ได้อยู่ที่การอ่านหนังสือธรรมะ หรือการนั่งสมาธิเพียงอย่างเดียว การได้อยู่กับธรรมชาติในชนบทหรือ ได้อยู่กับชีวิตที่เรียบง่ายของผู้คนในชนบทกลับเป็นสิ่งที่ท�ำให้จิตใจได้ผ่อนคลาย นอกจากนี้ยังได้เรียนรู้ในวิถีวัฒนธรรมพื้นบ้านที่ยังด�ำรงอยู่ ได้ซึมซับ หล่อหลอมจิตใจตั้งแต่ในวัยเยาว์ ได้เห็นความจริงแท้ที่ส่งผลถึงปัจจุบัน ได้เห็นคุณค่าในภูมิปัญญาพื้นบ้าน ได้สัมผัสพบเห็นศิลปกรรมพื้นบ้านและผล งานของช่างฝีมือที่ได้ถ่ายทอดจิตวิญญาณของความศรัทธาในพระพุทธศาสนาให้ปรากฏเป็นความงามแห่งศรัทธา ครั้นวันเวลาได้ผ่านเลย ธรรมชาติ และความจริงจึงได้ปรากฏผลต่อพลังแห่งศรัทธาที่ดูเหมือนจะเป็นหลักธรรมและความจริงให้ปรากฏอยู่ ให้เห็นเป็นสิ่งปลูกสร้างอาคารและวัตถุแห่ง ศรัทธา แต่ด้วยกาลเวลาจึงปรากฏร่องรอยกลายเป็นความผุกร่อนเสื่อมสลายให้ปรากฏเห็นบนพื้นผิววัตถุ ผ้าผะเหวดอีสานโบราณก็เช่นกัน จากพื้น ฐานของจิตใจที่สนใจในร่องรอยพื้นผิวจากอดีตที่ปรากฏเป็นความงามในความจริง และท�ำให้เกิดการพิจารณาที่ไม่ต่างไปกับชีวิตของคนเรา ครั้นการ เข้าวัดวาอารามเพื่อศึกษาในรูปแบบศิลปะสมัยกลับกลายเป็นสิ่งที่ขัดเกลาจิตใจให้จางหายไปจากความทุกข์เสียเอง การรู้ในเรื่องความจริงของชีวิตที่ ปรากฏเป็นการก�ำเนิดและการด�ำรงอยู่ จนถึงทีส่ ดุ ของการจากไป ได้เป็นแรงดลใจเข้าสูห่ ลักพุทธธรรมจากความจริงทีป่ รากฏในกฏแห่งพระไตรลักษณ์ ครั้นจะสร้างผลงานที่ส�ำคัญของชีวิตไม่ลืมที่จะน�ำเอาวิชาความรู้ครั้งอดีตจากงานช่างโบราณของไทยให้ปรากฏเป็นผลงานร่วมสมัยด้วย

Subconscious Intelligence of E-san Ancient Paintings

Finding the truth of life perhaps is not derived by simply reading the Dhamma books or meditation, more significantly, it is meant to spending life in the countryside or experiencing the simple life that relaxes mind and body, learning the traditional way of living absorbed since the childhood age, realizing the Karma truth that results in the present living, appreciating the value in folk wisdom, experiencing the folk arts and craftsmanship transmitting the spirit of faith in Buddhism as appeared in the “Beauty of Faith”. As time has gone by, the nature and truth has become potential to the power of faith as testified in Dhamma principle and the noble truth, as well as the architectures and objects of faith. Besides, as time passes, the traces of deterioration have been evidenced on the surface of the objects. Similarly, the E-san ancient painting in the mindset of the attention to the traces of the past surface as appeared in the “Beauty of Truth”. Similar to our lives, when reaching the temple to study arts, our mind is disciplined to relieve from the suffering. Knowing the truth of life appears in the advent of the human birth, existence, and demise. All these are the inspiration to attain the truth of the Three Characteristics of Existence.

การเดินทางของช่างไทย

ลักษณะอันเป็นรูปแบบเฉพาะของศิลปกรรมไทยต่างๆ มีการวิวฒ ั นาการมาเป็นระยะเวลายาวนานแต่ครัง้ อดีต มีความประสาน สัมพันธ์ไปตามวัฒนธรรมอันหลากหลายตามภูมภิ าคสอดคล้องกับวิถชี วี ติ และลักษณะภูมปิ ระเทศแบบร้อนชืน้ มีฝนตกชุก อันเป็นภูมภิ าคที่ มีความอุดมสมบูรณ์ มีทรัพยากรธรรมชาติอนั หลากหลายมากมาย ซึง่ เป็นปัจจัยส�ำคัญทีก่ อ่ ให้เกิดการสร้างสรรค์ศลิ ปกรรม รวมถึงสิง่ อ�ำนวย ความสะดวก และเครื่องมือ เครื่องใช้ต่างๆ ได้อย่างเต็มที่ โดยช่างไทยในอดีตได้คิดค้น พัฒนากรรมวิธีที่จะใช้ทรัพยากรที่มีอยู่มากมาย เหล่านั้นให้เกิดประโยชน์ และประสิทธิภาพให้มากที่สุด จนเกิดเป็นภูมิปัญญา เช่น การก่อสร้างอาคารบ้านเรือน ที่อยู่อาศัยต่างๆ รวมถึง สถาปัตยกรรม

สถาปัตยกรรมไทย เป็นสิง่ ปลูกสร้างทีไ่ ด้รบั การหลอมรวม สัง่ สม และได้รบั การถ่ายทอดแบบแผนดังกล่าวจนกลายเป็นลักษณะ เฉพาะของไทยได้อย่างชัดเจน โดยเฉพาะในช่วงสมัยอยุธยาตอนปลาย อันเป็นทีช่ ว่ งทีศ่ ลิ ปกรรมต่างๆมีความลงตัวสมบูรณ์ทสี่ ดุ โดยเฉพาะ ด้านสถาปัตยกรรม ทีม่ คี วามวิจติ รงดงาม อ่อนช้อย ซึง่ เป็นทีร่ วมศิลปกรรม และงานช่างต่างๆไว้มากมาย และยังสอดคล้อง ประสานสัมพันธ์ กับ ความเชื่อ ความศรัทธา หรือเป็นศูนย์รวมของจิตใจ คือ เวียง วัง และศาสนสถานต่างๆมาตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบันจนเกิดเป็นมรดกทาง วัฒนธรรมอันมีคา่ แม้สงิ่ เหล่านัน้ อาจเสือ่ มสลายไปบ้าง ในความเสือ่ มสลายก็ยงั แฝงไว้ดว้ ยความสุนทรียภาพทางด้านศิลปะและคุณค่าความ งามของกาลเวลา คือลักษณะพืน้ ผิวทีผ่ กุ ร่อนของพืน้ ผิวของไม้ พืน้ ผิวผนังทีฉ่ าบด้วยปูนและลักษณะผุกร่อนของภาพจิตรกรรมฝาผนังทีเ่ ปรียบ เสมือนการบันทึกเรื่องราวจากอดีต ซึ่งหมายถึงวัฒนธรรมอันเป็นรากเหง้า ตลอดจนคุณค่าของภูมิปัญญาที่สั่งสม หล่อหลอม จนเป็นมรดก ทางวัฒนธรรม

จากปัจจัยข้างต้นจึงก่อให้เกิดแรงบันดาลใจในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานจิตรกรรมร่วมสมัย เทคนิคผสม 3 มิติ ในแนวความคิดเห็น ถึงความงามทีเ่ กิดจากการประกอบกันของโครงสร้าง รูปทรง วัสดุ และพืน้ ผิวทีผ่ า่ นกาลเวลาของสถาปัตยกรรมไทย รวมถึงกรรมวิธขี องช่าง ไทยอันประณีตที่สั่งสม สืบสานจนเกิดเป็นภูมิปัญญา

The Journey of Thai Craftsman

Thai architecture refers to as a structure that has been assimilated, accumulated and transcribed in the pattern into the Thai uniqueness, especially in the late Ayutthaya period wherein the fine arts were recognized mostly perfectionism, particularly the architecture that is beautiful and delicate; a multiple collection of the fine arts and craftsmanship in the conformity to Thai belief and faith. The Heart Center includes city, palace, and religious places from the past to present. The aesthetic value of time includes the deteriorated surface of wood, plastered wall, and corrosive wall paintings; similitude as the recording of the past stories; rooted culture, the value of the wisdom accumulated and assimilated into a cultural heritage.

From the above-mentioned factors, it inspires the creation of the contemporary paintings, 3D mixture techniques in the perspective that the beauty is made of the combination of the structure, shape, materials and chronological surface of Thai architecture, as well as the delicate Thai traditional craftsmanship procedures that have been accumulated and succeeded to develop the valuable wisdom.

ประกาศมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร เรื่อง ทุนสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรม “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” โครงการทุนรางวัล “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” ครั้งที่ 18 ประจ�ำปี 2561 ---------------------------------------ตามที่หอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ได้จัดท�ำโครงการทุนรางวัล “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” ขึ้น เพื่อเป็นการส่งเสริมศิลปินที่สร้างงานศิลปกรรมเพื่อพัฒนางานสร้างสรรค์ศิลปวัฒนธรรมของชาติ และมีผลงานศิลปกรรมที่มีคุณค่าจนเป็นที่ยอมรับทั้งในระดับชาติ และระดับนานาชาติ โดยพิจารณาคัดเลือกมอบทุนรางวัลสร้างสรรค์แก่ศิลปิน เพื่อใช้ในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปกรรมในระยะเวลาหนึ่ง จากนั้นจะได้รวบรวมผลงานและจัดการแสดงนิทรรศการเพื่อประกาศเกียรติคุณต่อสาธารณชนต่อไป โดยหอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรได้ก�ำหนดระเบียบการไว้ดังต่อไปนี้ คือ 1. ประเภทผลงานมี 2 ประเภท ได้แก่

2. จุดมุ่งหมายของโครงการ

2.1 เพื่อส่งเสริมการสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรมอันเป็นมรดกทางด้านศิลปวัฒนธรรมของชาติให้ มีการพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่อง

2.2 เพื่อเผยแพร่ผลงานศิลปกรรมของศิลปินไทยให้เผยแพร่ออกสู่สาธารณชน เสริมสร้างคุณค่าทางสุนทรีย์ พัฒนาความคิดและคุณธรรมของสังคมไทย อันเป็นการเสริมสร้างความรู้ความเข้าใจในศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทย ทั้งในประเทศ และต่างประเทศ

2.3 เพื่อสนับสนุนศิลปินไทยให้มีความเชื่อมั่นและมีก�ำลังใจในการสร้างสรรค์ อันเป็นประโยชน์ต่อวงการศึกษาและวงวิชาการศิลปะสมัยใหม่ของไทยอันเป็นการพัฒนาคุณภาพไปสู่ระดับสากล

2.4 เพื่อการวิเคราะห์และการเก็บข้อมูลหลักฐานการสร้างสรรค์ที่จะเป็นประโยชน์ทางด้านการศึกษา และวงวิชาการศิลปะสมัยใหม่ในประเทศไทย 3. คุณสมบัติของผู้สมัคร

3.1 เป็นศิลปินสัญชาติไทยที่มีอายุ 35 ปีขึ้นไป (ผู้สมัครต้องมีอายุครบ 35 ปีบริบูรณ์ขึ้นไป ก่อนวันที่ 3 มกราคม 2561)

3.2 เป็นผู้ที่ทำ� งานสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปกรรมอย่างต่อเนื่อง และมีการจัดการแสดงผลงานเผยแพร่ต่อสาธารณชนอย่างสม�่ำเสมอ

3.3 การประพันธ์ดนตรี เป็นผู้มีประสบการณ์ในด้านการประพันธ์ดนตรีอย่างต่อเนื่อง

3.4 การสร้างสรรค์ผลงานศิลปกรรม ไม่จ�ำกัดเทคนิคและรูปแบบผลงาน อาทิ ผลงานประเภทจิตรกรรม ประติมากรรม ภาพพิมพ์ สื่อประสม สื่อใหม่ ศิลปะเครื่องปั้นดินเผา ศิลปะสิ่งทอ

และศิลปะเครื่องประดับ (Jewelry)

3.5 หากเป็นศิลปินที่เคยได้รับรางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ฯ มาก่อนจะต้องมีระยะเวลาจากครั้งที่ได้รับทุนจนถึงปัจจุบันไม่ต�่ำกว่า 5 ปี 4.การสมัคร

4.1 กรณีสมัครด้วยตนเอง ขอรับและกรอกใบสมัครด้วยตนเอง ที่หอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วังท่าพระ ถนนหน้าพระลาน กรุงเทพมหานคร

4.2 กรณีสมัครทางไปรษณีย์ โดยส่งที่ คุณมินตา วงษ์โสภา ส�ำนักงานหอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร วังท่าพระ เลขที่ 31 ถนนหน้าพระลาน แขวงพระบรมมหาราชวัง เขตพระนคร กรุงเทพฯ 10200 ระบุมุมซองด้วยข้อความว่า (เสนอขอทุนรางวัลศิลป์ พีระศรี ครั้งที่ 18 ประจ�ำปี 2561) โดยถือวันประทับตราไปรษณีย์เป็นส�ำคัญ สามารถสอบถามข้อมูลได้ที่โทรศัพท์หมายเลข 02–221–3841 หรือ 02–623-6115 ต่อ 11425 , 11418 5. เงื่อนไขการสมัคร

5.1 ยื่นใบสมัครขอรับทุนประเภทใดประเภทหนึ่ง โดยกรอกรายละเอียดให้ชัดเจนครบถ้วน

5.2 รูปเล่มเสนอโครงการสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรม โดยบันทึกข้อมูลลงในแผ่นซีดีหรือดีวีดี ประกอบด้วยรายละเอียดข้อมูลเรียงตามล�ำดับ ดังนี้ ประเภทผลงานศิลปกรรม - ประวัติศิลปินไทย – อังกฤษ (ระบุถึงประวัติการศึกษา การแสดงผลงาน รางวัล และอื่นๆ) - รูปถ่ายศิลปิน จ�ำนวน 1 รูป (บันทึกรูปแบบ JPEG เท่านั้น) - ชื่อโครงการ (ภาษาไทย - ภาษาอังกฤษ) - วัตถุประสงค์ของโครงการ - ความเป็นมา และแนวคิดในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน - จ�ำนวนผลงาน ประเภท เทคนิค และขนาดของผลงานที่จะสร้างสรรค์ - ขั้นตอน และระยะเวลาในการด�ำเนินการสร้างสรรค์ - ภาพร่างผลงาน (Sketch) หรือ ภาพผลงาน (บันทึกรูปแบบ JPEG เท่านั้น โดยไฟล์ภาพมีขนาดไม่ตำ�่ กว่า 1 MB) - แนวความคิด ข้อมูลรายละเอียด และภาพผลงานที่เคยสร้างสรรค์ (Portfolio) ควรระบุแยกช่วงปีที่จัดแสดงผลงานตามล�ำดับให้ชัดเจน

ประเภทการประพันธ์ดนตรี - ประวัติศิลปินไทย–อังกฤษ (ระบุถึงประวัติการศึกษา การแสดงผลงาน รางวัล และอื่นๆ) - รูปถ่ายศิลปินจ�ำนวน 1 รูป (บันทึกลงใน File JPEG เท่านั้น) - ชื่อโครงการ (ภาษาไทย - ภาษาอังกฤษ) - แนวคิดในการสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน - ส่งโครงร่างสกอร์บทเพลง (Music Score) โดยโครงร่างบทเพลงเป็นไฟล์เสียง สกอร์เพลงแบบย่อ (Condensed Score) หรือสกอร์เพลงแบบเปียโน (Pianocore) ความยาวไม่ตำ�่ กว่า 2 นาที - ผลงานที่เคยประพันธ์ โดยเป็นไฟล์เสียงและสกอร์เพลงแบบเต็ม (Full Score)

5.3 โครงการและผลงานที่น�ำเสนอเพื่อขอรับทุน จะต้องเป็นโครงการที่ยังไม่ได้เริ่มด�ำเนินการ และต้องด�ำเนินการในระยะเวลาที่ได้รับทุนเท่านั้น ผลงานที่อยู่ในชุดที่เสนอโครงการต้องไม่เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของผลงานในกระบวนการศึกษา ในขณะเดียวกันต้องไม่น�ำผลงานนั้น ไปใช้ในการศึกษา ขอทุนหรือส่งประกวดในเวทีอื่นๆ 6.คณะกรรมการคัดเลือกและตัดสิน คณะกรรมการคัดเลือกและตัดสินประกอบด้วยผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิทางด้านศิลปะและการประพันธ์ดนตรี ดังมีรายนามต่อไปนี้ ประเภทผลงานศิลปกรรม 1. ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณอิทธิพล ตั้งโฉลก กรรมการ 2. ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณเข็มรัตน์ กองสุข กรรมการ 3. ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณปรีชา เถาทอง กรรมการ

- ผู้สมัครจะต้องมาน�าเสนอโครงการด้วยตนเอง ประกอบกับไฟล์โครงการในแผ่นซีดีหรือดีวีดี ที่ได้ส่งมาพร้อมใบสมัครในวันคัดเลือกและตัดสิน - การตัดสินของคณะกรรมการคัดเลือกและตัดสินถือเป็นมติเอกฉันท์ จะอุทธรณ์มิได้ 8.1 ทุนรางวัล “ ศิลป์ พีระศรี” ประจ�าปี 2561 มีจ�านวน 5 - 8 รางวัล เป็นเงินรางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ ทุนละ 150,000 บาท คณะกรรมการคัดเลือกฯ อาจตัดสินลดหรือเพิ่มรางวัลก็ได้หากพิจารณาเห็นว่ายังไม่มีผู้ใดมีคุณสมบัติที่เหมาะสมที่จะได้รับ รางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ฯ 8.2 การรับรางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ฯ ให้ท�าตามข้อตกลงและเงื่อนไขที่คณะกรรมการประจ�า หอศิลป์ก�าหนด หากไม่ด�าเนินการตามเงื่อนไข หอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรอาจใช้สิทธิ์เรียกร้องให้ผู้ได้รับรางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ฯ คืนเงินรางวัลพร้อมดอกเบี้ย ตามมติที่คณะกรรมการประจ�าหอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร พิจารณา

9. การสร้างสรรค์ผลงาน ผู้ได้รับรางวัลทุนสร้างสรรค์ฯ จะต้องสร้างสรรค์ผลงานในจ�านวนและระยะเวลา ที่คณะกรรมการประจ�าหอศิลป์ฯ พิจารณา โดยความเห็นชอบของคณะกรรมการคัดเลือกและตัดสิน 10. กรรมสิทธิ์ของผลงานสร้างสรรค์ 10.1 ประเภทผลงานศิลปกรรม ผลงานสร้างสรรค์จากศิลปินทุนรางวัล “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” ประจ�าปี 2561 จะถูกคัดเลือกจากคณะกรรมการคัดเลือกตัดสินให้เป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ของหอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร จ�านวนคนละ 1 ชิ้น ซึ่งหอศิลป์ มีสิทธิ์ในการน�าผลงานชิ้นนั้นไปเผยแพร่หรือ ท�าให้เกิดประโยชน์แก่องค์กรในรูปแบบใดรูปแบบหนึ่งได้ในอนาคต ประเภทการประพันธ์ดนตรี ผลงานสร้างสรรค์ทุนรางวัล “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” ประจ�าปี 2561 ผลงานประพันธ์เพลง ลิขสิทธิ์ยังคงเป็นของผู้ประพันธ์ แต่หอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร และบริษัท ไอคอนสยาม จ�ากัด จะได้รับกรรมสิทธิ์ในบทเพลงเพื่อใช้งานเป็นเวลา 2 ปี นับแต่วันที่มี การตกลงไว้ หลังจากนั้นลิขสิทธิ์และกรรมสิทธิ์จะตกเป็นของผู้ประพันธ์โดยสมบูรณ์ 10.2 หอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากรขอสงวนสิทธิ์ในการเผยแพร่ผลงานสร้างสรรค์ของศิลปินที่ได้รับทุนรางวัล “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” ประจ�าปี 2561 ในสูจิบัตร เอกสารสิ่งพิมพ์ ระบบสารสนเทศสมัยใหม่ และในรูปแบบอื่นๆ ตามสมควร 11. การจัดนิทรรศการ หอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร จะเป็นผู้ด�าเนินการจัดการแสดงนิทรรศการผลงานศิลปกรรมของศิลปินผู้ได้รับทุนรางวัล “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” ประจ�าปี 2561 ณ หอศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร หรือหอศิลป์อื่นๆ และด�าเนินการจัดท�าสูจิบัตรและสิ่งพิมพ์ต่างๆที่เกี่ยวข้อง 12. ก�าหนดเวลา ประเภทผลงานศิลปกรรม - การส่งใบสมัคร - การตัดสินผลงาน - ประกาศผลการตัดสิน - การรับทุนและการสร้างสรรค์

ทั้งนี้ให้คณะกรรมการด�าเนินการ มีหน้าที่ดังนี้ 1. จัดท�านิทรรศการโครงการทุนรางวัล “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” ครั้งที่ 18 ประจ�าปี 2561 และกิจกรรมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับนิทรรศการ 2. จัดท�าสูจิบัตร และสิ่งพิมพ์ประกอบนิทรรศการ 3. จัดท�าระบบข้อมูลและงานวิชาการในระบบคอมพิวเตอร์สารสนเทศ ทั้งการเผยแพร่ประชาสัมพันธ์ และการขยายบทบาทงานศิลปกรรมไทยสู่นานาชาติ 4. มีอ�านาจแต่งตั้งคณะอนุกรรมการในการด�าเนินงานของส่วนต่างๆ ตามที่เห็นสมควร สั่ง ณ วันที่ 2 พฤศจิกายน พ.ศ. 2560

ประกาศมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร เรื่อง ทุนสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรม “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” โครงการทุนรางวัล “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” ครั้งที่ 18 ประจ�าปี พ.ศ. 2561 _____________________ ตามประกาศมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ลงวันที่ 13 ธันวาคม 2560 เรื่องทุนสร้างสรรค์ศิลปกรรม “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” โครงการทุนรางวัล “ศิลป์ พีระศรี” ครั้งที่ 18 ประจ�าปี พ.ศ. 2561 ได้เชิญชวนศิลปินเสนอโครงการขอรับทุนรางวัล ในโครงการดังกล่าวแล้วนั้น บัดนี้ คณะกรรมการคัดเลือกและตัดสิน ได้พิจารณาคัดเลือกผลงานของศิลปินเข้ารับทุนรางวัล“ศิลป์ พีระศรี” ประเภทการประพันธ์ดนตรี จ�านวน 1 ทุน และ ประเภทศิลปกรรม จ�านวน 7 ทุน ตามรายนามดังนี้ ประเภทการประพันธ์ดนตรี หัวข้อ “The best of Thailand meets the best of the world” 1. นายประดิษฐ์ แสงไกร ประเภทศิลปกรรม 1. นายทวีวิทย์ กิจธนสุนทร โครงการ “เรื่องเล่าผ่านความทรงจ�าจากลุงยาว” (Memory of Uncle Yaw) 2. นายพงศ์เดช ไชยคุตร โครงการ “ภาพต่อ:สงคราม” (Jigsaw Puzzle:WARS) 3. นายวรวิทย์ แก้วศรีนวม โครงการ “บันทึกร่องรอยสภาวะแห่งจิต” (Traces of the State of Mind) 4. นายศิระ สุวรรณศร โครงการ “The Fall” 5. นายสุจิน สังวาลย์มณีเนตร โครงการ “อู่ข้าวอู่น�้า” (Greater Land of Rice) 6. นายอนุโรจน์ จันทร์โพธิ์ศรี โครงการ “ห้วงภวังค์แห่งปัญญาจากภาพผะเหวดอีสานโบราณ” (Subconscious Intelligence of E-san Ancient Paintings) 7. นายโอภาส เจริญสุข โครงการ “การเดินทางของช่างไทย” (The Journey of Thai Craftman)
