Habár a jazz alapvetően nem európai gyökerű zenei irányzat, művelői bőséggel akadnak nálunk is. Bacsó Kristóf zenész a szaxofon bűvöletébe kerülve kötelezte el magát a stílus mellett. Játszik, komponál, tanít és aktívan szervez, pedig a hazai viszonyok közt kifejezetten nehéz dolga van. És mégis. Ki vagy te? Bacsó Kristóf vagyok, zenész. Ez magában foglalja azt, hogy az életem egy meghatározó része a szaxofon; az a hang, ami ebből a hangszerből kijön, az az én hangom. Emellett szerzek zenét, ami a játékkal szervesen összefügg. Ugye az improvizációnak az a lényege, hogy menet közben szerezzük a zenét. Én szeretem kicsit lelassítani, szeretek számokat, formákat létrehozni, ezt élvezem. Persze az improvizációnak van az a csodálatos varázsa, hogy a pillanat töredéke alatt képes újat létrehozni, ami nem biztos, hogy felér ezzel az elmélyült bíbelődéssel. Hogy kezdődött? Mindig is szerettem a zenét, már 1012 éves koromban éreztem, hogy nekem ezzel kell foglalkozni. És aztán

Kristóf Bacsó, I am a musician. How did it start? I have always loved the music, when I was 10-12 years old I felt that I shoulddeal with this. And luckily the fate shaped it so: I started playing the violin, but I did not like, I was awful probably because I was not insistent enough. I liked the saxophone though. Although jazz is not fundamentally rooted in European musical trends, there are plenty practitioners at us.
